Your lucky your bird is not footy, my Red Tail can be very footy he likes to hit my hand as I take him out of his box, but I am only in my 2nd year so still lots to learn. And still loving every second of it.

nice bird my first red tail flew at 2lb 5oz people tell me thats big for a male what weight does he fly at.

@Brad3374 Footy means that the bird grabs aggressively at the falconer's hand - it's often a problem in eyasses.
Sounds like this bird is in poor conditioning - glad you had fun handling it though. He's quite a handsome dark RTH.
