  • Mantap Dech, Ngak ada duanya!

  • Cool Video!!!

  • Good Video!!!

  • Good!!!

  • I'm glad I found your video

  • Interesting video

  • I do not know what to say, I would still not be all robotic

  • Great work (despite what one of the visonless commenters said)! I can see this as a good beginning for robots that can detect, identify and remove weeds and destructive insects. I too have built robots and never get someones attitude of "Why build a light bulb when a candle can produce light cheaper!"...

  • Anyone who has had to pick cherry tomatoes understands how useful this robot would be.

  • And then they'll plant humans in this garden and plug them in Matrix ;) :P

  • Semicloud, i dont know you but, from your comment you seem a bit close minded indeed. If great people were thinking like you, there would be no progress whatsoever. This looks like a great idea to me because i can use my imagination. If u were to see the first calculator u would probably have the same reaction, smthg like "what's this sh_t?". And yet, without that stepping stone you wouldn;t be leaving bad comments on youtube. Think! And when you can't, shut up. Keep it to yourself.

  • i build robots. i am comp science major and won competitions coding and building robots. i will try to explain this to your ape brain. desigining a robot to water plant is superfluous and side step important questions in AI and engineering. sprinlers are more efficient and cost effective. thus, a pure mechanical solution is optimal. in other words, these people built a dumb robot to show off rather than exacting progress

  • You lack imagination semicloud. And computer sci is not about engineering as much as concepts, so you missed a big point in cs. You belong to engineering my friend. The fact that you won competitions doesn't entitle to ridicule other people's work, especially the work you don't understand. You take everything through the limited prism of an closed minded engineer. Mature up a bit and don't deride everything you don't understand. What u got to say about the turing machine for example? Useless?

  • stop judging with your ape brain. you must be an art major or something. go back and read what i have said. you might learn something.

  • great guess. whats up with your rationale today? i have a degree in computer science, can't you deduce from my comment?

You are stuck my friend! you are a boring engineer my friend! You have no imagination. And on top of it you're self conceited. Ha!

  • just try this out. read my previous comments and actually consider the possibility that i might know what i am talking about. if you do this correctly, you will be able to the see the truth. now, read my comments again and assume i am closed minded engineer. now, you will reject everything i say.

  • yes i did read all your comments. that made me think you are a mindless engineer. i don't know you, remember? how do you think I came to that conclusion? i read your comments. You seem to know (to yourself) what you're saying and namely you put everything through the prism of an engineer (optimization over new ideas). You might be successful in your own world but you fail to see the other side. You fail to appreciate the otherness.

  • @aki44 I observe with pleasure that appreciate the work these people and I'm glad you made time to write that I appreciate

  • I completely agree with you. But this robot has some advantages over the sprinkler. It can water individual plants according to the needs and just water how much is required, thus saving water. Also it could be used as a harvester, trimmer and this could also keep track of the health and other conditions of plant and soil.

  • i built robots before and would never waste 500 dollar and 20 hours to design a robot to water 4 pots of plants. you have to see the bigger picture. easiest way to solve this problem is to run plastic tubes acroos the garden and poke holes where the plants here with different sizes. this can be done in 10 minutes and saves water.

  • As I said I agree with you on this point. But what I am trying to say is that this Robot can be a "trainer" like thing for the plants. Which keeps check on their health, soil condition, whether they are getting proper nutrition, humidity, temperature, trim when necessary etc...

If this robot is built to ONLY sprinkler water then I think it is a utter waste of money and time.

  • i want you to see something. go to the last 10 seconds of the video showing a robot SUPPOSEDLY harvesting fruits. ask yourself why did they stop the video.

  • I know this is not the perfect model. But I was talking about the concept rather than what this model can do. It can be improved upon.
