Yes sir. You can use ReaComp to do this. You use the HP and LP to tune it into jsut the SS sound. Then use it to compress the tracks when sound happens. there are a few methods of DeEssers and this is one of them. I'll make a video on this sometime soon to show you.
I agree... but its not included in a DAW that only costs $60. The auto mode works well if you know the scale of the song... or if the singer is pretty good you can keep it on chromatic
If you are talking about the blue lines in Manual mode.. you click on it (which will darken the line indicating its selected) and then press "Delete" on your keyboard. :-)
A double click or ALT+click ability would be nice.. but this is simple enough.
Wow, man, this one is totally new to me. I never used Reatune or any other tuning plugins (though I heard of autotune and melodyne). Really nice, man.
hmm... I'd have to get a Re-Amping box from Radial or something.. i don't think that standard outs on the back of an interface will do a good enough job.. If I get my hands on one I'll post it. :-)
hey Great tutorial again man. The sound of ReaTune is very impressive and to come with this practically free DAW it just blows my mind time and time again. I also favor Melodyne but i have not had the best experience with Melodyne Editor in Reaper. it wont process the audio right. U have to start Reaper in play first then hit transfer in Melodyne or it doesn't work right. You can't just hit transfer like i do in pro tools and they both start together. Have u had any experiences like this?
I'm glad you enjoyed it! The stretching algorith in Reaper is AWESOME!!! I just am not a fan of ReaTune because i don't have full control over the tuneing. I have Melodyne plugin version and I haven had any issues with it so far... put the plugin on the track.. click "transfer" and then play in reaper and it goes. I usually have all the vocal tracks transfer to melodyne at the same time.
Just to clear one thing up, did you say 'everyone's on acid for this' or 'everyone's been asking for this' at the end?
;)

@Melissa05121992
To make your voice an octave higher your best bet would be ReaPitch. You cna tune the track up or down as you like.

Okay, quite nice, but pitch correction in Melodyne is really a lot easier... :D
And you have much more possibilities of course...
