Sarafan Lord: "Your understand nothing. You are a degenerate remnant of a cursed race. Doomed to walk the night as a parasite. Your life is easily snuffed out as those you feed on to survive. My race is but a warped parody of our fallen duty. We are, like you, fallen gods scratching for our former power. We would prevail. We would cleanse this world of your kind and bring about a glorious age. Die Kain! The Nexus Stone!?"
Kain: "Fitting isn't it? The very item you use to defeat me now turned against you. Your finished."
Sarafan Lord: "It matters not. The Gate remains opened, and even as we speak my army, the likes of which this soft world has never seen prepares to enter. Nosgoth is still mine for the taking."
Its dialogue that makes this series great, don't you agree?
Being a prequel to Soul Reaver and sequel to Blood Omen 1, Blood Omen 2 is in some made by the double paradox created by the closing events of Soul Reaver when a much older Kain saved Raziel from his fate by snatching the Soul Reaver back from being consumed by it. Also Blood Omen 2 is a sequel apparently to Defince, the fifth title in the series for the fact that Janos Audron is present and Vorador (due to the fact that he was beheaded in Blood Omen 1) as well.
y'know, there's a double-sword thingy behing those crates at 4:54....
or at least it is in the GC version.

Kain: "The charlatan emperor rears his head".
Sarafan Lord: "You are far from home, Dark One".
Kain (arrogantly): "Spare your speeches, Demon. Your secrets a known to me now. Your plans crumble like dust, brought down by my will".
Sarafan Lord: "You struggled longer than expected. But nothing has changed. You see before you your death".
Kain: "Know you not that your vaunted Device is destroyed. Your hope in controlling Nosgoth lies in ruins. This world is mine".

I love kain's arrogance

@DethTorque That's what makes a great anti-hero: arrogance. The same can be said for Kratos in God of War.

I meant Soul Reaver 2, honest mistake. And those hulking demons are the Hylden that come late in Reaver 2 that Raziel faces.

I really don't see much difference between Kain and the Sarafan Lord.

@prudence00 Ah but there is one fundemental difference: Kain is stronger.
