What's so great about it? Mike just called on the flop (an indication of a draw). The club comes and Matusow bets. He also bets on the river. Usually an easy laydown. Is it "the best fold ever" because it's the only fold Calling Station Daniel has ever made?

Folding trips when there's 3 clubs on the board and Matusow making a "please call me value bet" is a coin flip, either he has it or not but Matusow wouldn't play a bluff like that in my opinion so Daniel made a standard pro fold(not saying I'd 100% fold this.) I hate misleading titles especially when this undermines Daniel's genius as he's made FAR better plays/folds than this.

You comment about Mike's 'please call me value bet' - do you not think that sometimes these pro's will make these 'please call me value bet' when they're bluffing, as they know it looks like a 'please call me value bet'. Their poker thought process is clearly much more complex than yours. You probably don't play much.

@JeeRaph Granted what you say is true. They're not a luxury for Daniel who uses them to accurately gauge the strength of a players hand allowing him to make these folds. Which makes me confidentially say Daniel's made better folds even against the pros. But yes, the factors you state are usually what dictate how a good player should play but had Daniel based his call on pot odds and the way the hand was played he would've made the typical call and paid Matt off.

You know if they were playing a very high level of poker, than it can be a play by matusow. They play together a lot, so this can very well been a play. If your talking about normal day to day poker, ya that's nothing special about the fold. You see if the situation was like matusow had nothing and try to bluff, this would be a very good bluff and a bad fold. It's easy for any of us to say its easy fold. We see whole cards and know nothing how they play each other for the passed hands.
