As a fellow pilot please let me thank you for this terrific video, done the way they should all be done! I especially enjoyed hearing the sounds (not covered up by music) as they really sounded, and your commentary/decision making. Thanks for it all!
@mmichaeldonavon just an old club headset, very well worn. It does look pretty tacky doesn't it. I now have my own ANR headset, so i don't have to use them anymore.
@tonymeggs53 I never thought "tacky" - I was thinking: Really cool!! :-) If my 12.5 year homebuilt was "open cockpit", I'd have a leather helmet with built-in speakers, et al. Thanks again, N-6395T
@tonymeggs53 "Plenty of height in hand" A good thing, you wouldn't want to undershoot on that approach (my club field has trees on the normal final approach path too). I would love to have a nice shoreline like that near my club bit we're 140 KM inland and north of the north 49th parallel! Nicely done video.

What's the story with your headset "cushion"; looks like it has been ressurected from an older set up. :-) Nice video, thanks, N-6395T

that flight completed 9 hours in command in my log book; total over many flights.

Tony, great video, good camera positioning, one can see the work on the stick and rudder pedals.
But what do you mean by clocking up 9 hours on this flight (end comment on the video). Did you use some external fuel tank?
