@TheWhoaDude It was a funny little prank video game that some people thought was funny, while others were offended. The fact that the people were offended by such a silly game made it even funnier.
@marywinmusic Actually none of the cats are mine. They all either roam the neighborhood or belong to friends. There is one that I feed since no one in the neighborhood claims him. (That would be the orange one shown on the chimney.)
@kenrg Yeah, I suppose spiders are fair game. BTW, you might recall an earlier version of this video from a couple of years ago. I had to go and re-shoot most of it to transform it into a book promotional kind of thing. Also, BTW, did you notice the discussion of the declension of кошка? As I recall you know some Russian.
This is the first time I have heard of that game! Wow...what a game...LOL LOVE the song though. I hope you had a great turkey day...good to hear you didn't have cat for the day...:-)
@GreatGig1 Well, it wasn't exactly a game that many people ever actually played or anything! ;) I actually had a chicken instead of a turkey this year and I forgot to take it out of the freezer in time and so I had my T-Day feast a day late!
@Ep1cure It's not wrong in English. Maybe. :p It depends on whether you were meaning singular or plural when you said it in Russian.. For some reason, the translating program I used for Russian to English gave everything in English except "koshky", although it gave that in English letters.
@maintoc It worked fine on my microsoft translator and I think it's correct in Russian from what I've learnt but maybe a super talented Russian gramatist can comment on it. Translator systems do slip up occasionally :P
@Ep1cure "Translator systems do slip up occasionally :P" More like "frequently", I'd say. Sometimes the translations are unintentionally quite funny, though.
@maintoc Yeah, I find translators are usually somewhat inaccurate, but sometimes helpful just the same. I think the problem with кошкы was that such a form of the word кошка doesn't actually exist. Check out my reply to Ep1cure for a list of the declensions listed at wiktionary(dot)org.
@Ep1cure Look it up at wiktionary(dot)org. The various forms of кошка include кошки, кошке, кошку, кошек, кошкой, кошкюю кошкам, кошками, and кошках, but nothing ending in ы. My guess is that the question should use an accusative and the second sentence should use a nominative form. Alternately, you could just use кот, which has it's own fun set of interesting declensions, one of which does end in ы !
Why is this so funny to me? XD
