  • Why does everybody say that's a bad design? That looks awesome there. This would probably be my first choice if I were looking to buy a new full PC.

And well yes, you CAN spot an apple from a mile away because there's a light on the back shaped like an Apple.

IF the Toshiba logo on Toshibas lit up it would be the same with them, As with Dell, Compaq, HP I think already does light up...

  • i want one :(

  • Good quick look at the computer. I have an extremely detailed unboxing, review and comparison for the more serious buyers. It is on my channel, here:

    watch?v=RAXyqKoWWiU

Not trying to spam, just letting you guys know there is finally a super-detailed review of the Lenovo workstation series laptops.

  • @infiniteDefinitives

THATS JUST WHAT I WANTED thanks

  • Holy shit! Is that American goji mah!?

  • Does this have an HDMI port?

  • @SuperDuperUberTuber no, it has vga and dispay port, maybe there is a display port to HDMI? dont know

  • Precisely right.

Performance over design. This plain business design makes one look serious and professional. It's this simple design that I have always loved about Thinkpads over the year. One can spot an Apple from a mile away and know immediately that the sheep has been overcharged.

You know what they say; less is more.

  • @ThThThThThThaMan - No, you could easily say "less is more" with any Apple computer. Get less, pay more! Seriously though, This Thinkpad is nice!

  • 16:9 is tough to swallow but at least there is (was) a 95% ntsc gamut full hd screen option. Too bad nvidia's optimus switching graphics didnt make it on board-though it is nice to have 2 usb 3.0ports!

  • I prefer the W500 over the W510, loss of 120 pixels vertically. I dont like the latch on the bottom of the machine, 16:9 looks hideous. A shame business line Thinkpads are gone.

  • @benottomex

Yeah, I loved the horrendous "cad graphics" on my W500, the latch on the bottom hardly make any difference and I got used to 16:9 in a day. My W510 is just 50% at everything, can't say 10% less pixels slow it down at all. Gone? They are better then ever

  • lol wow the w519 sports good new features, but why cant they give the thinkpad something extra in lookwise. its 2 genrations on from the t61p and it is EXACTLY the same design.

  • Actually, it's a major design change from the T61p.

The T60 widescreen, T61p and W500 were all very similar, this is rather substantially different.

That being said, it still maintains the same design aesthetics of a decade-old 600E, which is just fine with me. Why change what's made it a long-time classic? Glossy plastics? Shiny colors? No thanks.

    Mine's due tomorrow.

  • oh goodness no not that kinda change. lets take hp for example. the nc8430 was black as they rraditionally are. the upgrade was likea grey kinda colour (8510w) and the the 8530w (elite range) now have the magnesium finish which makes it look sleek not glossy and fancy to what u thought i may of meant. but the traditional layout is still there as the previous gens has.

Thats the kinda change i meant. so u can tell u got something new if u upgraded from the w500.

ps enjoy the w510. its good.

  • @KING0SISQO that's the thinkpad spirit! no design, I prefer performance before design

  • @KING0SISQO that's the thinkpad spirit! no design, I prefer performance before design

  • @guille1983 It's beautifully designed, reminds me of an 80s supra

  • Thanks for the Video,

    buying the W510

everything is nice, other than the hateful 16:9 ratio
