  • Super Video - moore

    Greet

  • Excellent Video! Very Informative!

  • I'm trying to get an idea of where the ancient stream are in Shasta county ca

  • @BigTW707 The best way is to sample a large area and collect the black sands and heavies to compare for any differences.......study bedrock zones around you for miles on all four corners.......study rocks in all samples you dig in sampling holes and up any water ways...........after time you will get a good idea what's modern or pre-glacial to ancient.........you will for the most part see the differences right away from the modern channels and so on.........Take care.

Beyon superb video! Thnx. ?'s 1.Map'n-handl situation if u pass beyon u'r claim prevent full mapping? 2.Glacial flow S 2 N? 3.Think deposits b N side lgr. quartz in eddy, not E side & not E stream side 2 boot? Unlez glacial flo receded & gold deposited but "quartz n gold" 'nuggets' NE lg. quartz rocks? Furthr more 'E creek-S stream' side? Would u believ "lode" 2 b NE top confluenc area, A mining area 2 b @? Hard 2 fig.-any high grnd NE behin lgr.quartz rocks? Tough putn & readn. MnLar

  • @lac123able Yeah the N side and glacial deposits plus one needs to think of all the other channels through history in a area........moved gold all directions and just slows down the tracing of all lodge deposits......ore bodies can travel long distances and pop up and down through out.......secondary deposits mixed in and such.

This is the best hobby or quest for the simple fact it's past down the line by dreamer and story teller and the quest for gold continues.....

    Take care.

  • I really like your videos. I wish I had started watching sooner! Very informative, not like other greedy folk who think they can't share what they know!

I just moved back inside Alaska. I wish you could come up some time and look with me. I know you are in the "Honey Hole" already! LOL If you can come up to AK in the spring 2011, I would love to go out with you and find some good spots.Public access points are all around the state.I have found some small gold, but I just started!

  • didn't the glaciacer go south east and not the direction your saying......but i like what your doing

  • priceless information! God bless you for sharing. I didnt know what to look for. Have no idea what to watch for. I knew there's got to be a system which nobody is sharing except for a big hearted guy like you. Thank you so much. Im interested in small ones that you get using sluice boxes. Dont want to invest on rock crushers. Just for recreation that pays for itself.

  • I always love this video, it's great to watch, thanks again D...

    Jen

  • Basically the scenario in this video is very good information. Thanks and basically I want to try this in my own scenario!

  • Excellent lesson! Thanks a lot!

  • Great information. Thanks for taking the time.

  • Great explanation, now i can see how gold may behave in that kind of environment, thanks for sharing

  • I can see the power of mother nature. All the years that I missed . LOL>>>I can see the gold grows so why is everone not encuriguring prospecting?

  • @jessgo33 to hard of a job maybe? I know if I found a good strike I would keep quiet about it.

  • It is A fun way to look at things.

  • Nice explanation of how gold gets into the river and where to find the source

  • that was VERY informative, im going to try that on my river.... i need to find some cardboard

  • I live in Can = B.C.

  • where is this.. us? if so what state

  • I'm going to the caribou area in about a week. wound know of any area to prospect with in the Caribou area?

  • Good video, you are in BC by vancouver? I live in Nor-cail first year prospecting. I hope that dredge perment goes through for you. Keep making the videos. Jessgo33.

  • Are there any camping area for which have gold bearing creeks near bye.

  • You can try the Fraser river south of P.G......or you'll have to go the Barkerville way.

  • are their any creeks that contain gold around prince george?

  • I think there's gold at chaslata falls because I remember seeing large quarts vein runing throw the bed rock.

  • Hey man.......I have'nt heard of any gold out that way but some rockhounding to be done around the area........north to Manson has gold.

  • I live in Vanderhoof, and I have resencently bought an x-terra 70 (metal detector). I'd like to know if they are any place I can find gold near vanderhoof.

and have you ever prospected at chaslata falls I'd like to know if there's gold there?

  • Yes there is reports and images on glacial flow directions......do A google search with the area of intrest and you'll find the info an maps.

  • Excellent, thank you for this... one question, how can you tell the direction of the glacial flow? Are there maps that cover areas of BC that show this that I can use to evaluate my claims?

  • The gold will tell you.......how coarse the gold is and quartz with gold has not gone to far......but yeah - A old channel could cross over on the hill but still would have run across the gold ore in the map.....this is the fun part - putting the peaces together.

  • excellent videos. i have a question though: how do you know that there even is an ore body? is it not possible that the streams you've drawn on this map are crossing older stream deposits and spilling previously deposited gold into the current channels? essentially re-classifying previously deposited material?

  • very cool, very cool

  • Hi, I watched nearly all your videos and they are very good and show you know what you are doing. I noticed you tend to target bench deposits, is there a reason behind that? I mean other than the fact that they can contain gold, Do benches usually yield better results than other formations?

Thank you, and keep up the good work :)

  • im just asking because you explained this very well

  • you a geo?

  • Fantastic explanation and now I understand the reason in another of your videos you were saying why you spend so much time sampling areas! I wish you the best and look forward to more videos and knowing if that area you identified produces some good results.

  • Thanks......the creek has no name..;)

  • What is the name of the river? You did a good job on the map.

  • It's all on map an forever in my head an in my dream's at night - over an over...oh what have I done...ha ha.

  • Very, very interesting. Do you use a GPS and transfer coordinates to a map or is it all dead reckoning. If the latter I certainly salute you sir.

  • Very cool!

  • Outstanding job with this. Very well done.

  • Your right about the wife, same for me

  • your detailed video on finding aprospecting for gold areas in very good. most people dont know anything about what you just showed.. and i liked the gold too nice touch...

  • Thanks A ton....good to hear ya liked it....always fun to share my thought's.....lord knows the wife don't want to hear me ramble on about gold prospecting.

  • Very cool. I like all of your vids. Keep up the good work.

  • Very Interesting... Thanks for taking the time to do this.

    Reno Z.

  • Probably one of the best and most easy to understand tutorials available.
