  • BRAVO!!!! BRAVISIMO!!!!! Enhorabuenas Señor Pabon!!!

  • @kkesoj Muchas Gracias!!!

  • i love it!

  • @11166lovely Thank you :)

  • rinsky? wow

  • Rock on clarinets!!!!

  • I love the clarinet solos!!!

  • Where does the 3rd part start?

  • @davimerc Thanks

  • @katie60000 :)

  • If your a clarinetist without an A clarinet and your playing this, your skrewed. I speak from experience. I was glad I didn't have to do the solo though, I was sick with mono until a week before the concert so I couldn't rehearse or practice.

  • were playing this in band right now french horns ftw!

  • @nosense345 1999.

  • Wow! I have to play that with this music group thing I'm in. I'm a violinist. :)

  • @DanielDFizzle

    cool

  • I played this at Region yesterday. I was 12th chair violin. It was the best piece I've ever played. I think we did pretty well and first chair did amazing on the solos. The is an amazing piece

  • i wanna join the youtube symphony orchestra and im going to do the 1st movement, a to c

  • @austinrodrigez Cool...

  • this year Texas Region '23 symphony is doing it!

  • @2CODzilla i had region today and the symphony played this song..... i also live in TX

  • I played this song in 7th and 9th grade and am trying to convince my orchestra teacher to play it this year (11th) again because i just love it so much! My favorite movement is the third movement and I play one part over and over because it is the only part that I remember but I still love it!! Best song ever!!

  • Excellent rendition!

  • If you were properly taught in English, you would write "you" instead of "u." "U" is Dutch for the English word "you." If I were Rimsky-Korsakov, I would praise the performance no matter where I heard it. Of course there was nio youtube or pc in his lifetime, but did you forget to mention that neither did this performance exist in his lifetime? Sheesh.

  • I am playing this clarinet solo for my grade 8 exam (: Very nicely played.

  • @darthkimmy Thank You!!!

  • I am52 years old and can remember playing this piece in a Drum and Bugke Corps competition.....keep playing it!

  • @themensh

    Thank you!!!

  • que fuerte el trompa primera poniendo sordina.......esa parte es bouche!madre mia....

  • Amazing piece, playing it in youth orchestra atm. Horn part is beast, playing bumper, and loving it!

  • It is so sad how little this compares to hearing it live! we all should listen to more live true high fidelity music. Nevertheless, I am happy to have found it and the clarinet is amazing.

  • I'm just wondering. Are the first few seconds of the first movement out of sync?

  • Like everyone else posting, I am playing this in my youth orchestra. As the principal horn, I absolutely LOVE the second movement.

  • @laqerhill Great...

  • I love this piece, It seems on alot of recordings you find that rogue pizzacato note around 4:28. I never get that.

  • I'm also doing it now!!! =)

  • I'm playing this in Orchestra currently...and writing a paper on it for a test in the same class.

    Irony or not?

  • oh god, i miss playing my viola so bad...i remember when we played this in orchestra class, i was scared to death XD *mimes playing the viola with music*

  • the clarinet licks on this actually arent as hard as they sound, IF you play a clarinet in A. since it's written for clarinet in A, there is no key signature, but if you transpose it for a Bb clarinet, you're gonna have alot of trouble

  • i love this piece. we played it in youth orchestra last winter, and it brings back good memories :) i just love it.

  • Thanks!!!

  • we're playing this in all country orchestra. my favorite movement is the Variazioni. it's so slow and beautiful. i like the first movement too. that one's fun!

  • Thank you!!!

  • @beccaisawesomeness Variazioni is the best movement no doubt! :D

  • We're playing this in my youth orchestra. It's pretty easy, not too hard once you know it. And it sounds beautiful ^_^

    *Piccolo, for the win!*

  • same but i remeber this from way back in 6th grade AND UR RIGHT PICCILO FTW

  • Have fun...

  • Excelente solo de clarinete, Los platos nublan demasiado el sonido de la orquesta.

  • thank you for your comments, I heard this music when I was kid, during an intermission in a movie theater, during an exhibition of a short movie,

  • Very well done!!!

  • Thank you!!!

  • I played a REALLY watered down version of this song like 2 years ago...this recording make the song alot more enjoyable then it was for me to play it.

  • haha the info in the sidebar is just copy/pasted from wikipedia

  • And what's the problem? Its the right info.

  • no problem i had just read the wikipedia page right before i viewed the video and i thought it was humorous

  • Wow good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you...

  • I had to play this on the bass for FMC. It wasn't the whole piece, but it was arranged. It was cool ^^

  • It's a nice bass part, eh? Worst part is the 5th movement.

  • The beginning of the third movement is hard. I know, I played 3rd part for horn and i had trouble getting all the notes precise.

  • Where can i find the full orchestra version of this

  • You mean the whole piece, in one video.

  • No lol im so dumb i meant to say sheet music for the full version i tried looking online at sheetmusicplus but all they had was middle school level sheet music

  • My guess is to find one of the big music librarys in the U.S. for example, Patelsons in New York City.

  • i has it, but i dunno how, my high school teach gave it to me, and lo& behold, it was a 2nd violin piece

  • we use one from Luck's Music Library.

  • jwpepper

  • i freaking love this song I played it my senior year of HS and now im playing it again! sooo happyyyy!!! =]

  • Good for you :)

  • Great!!!

  • lol nvm I just found the video

  • Wish they included Scenes! Best of all...

  • BRAVO!! good job by the puerto rican orchestra. It's always a pleasure to listen this composition BY Rimsky Thank you!!

  • Thank you!!!!

  • Wonderful

  • Thank you!!!

  • the clarinet soloist is Kathleen Jones, the current clarinet professor of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico...and the principal clarinet of the Puerto Rico Symphony

  • Yes.

  • If I were Rinsky-Korsakov, I would congratulate you on an exemplary performance.

  • Thank you!!!

  • @hereinweymouth If u were Rimsky-Korsakov u wouldnt had utube, not even pc :-)))

  • i love this song.

we're playing it in my orhcestra now.

  • Good luck!!!

  • ahhh puerto rico =)

    i love my country...

could you tell me who the soloist is?

it looks like my middle school director

  • Wish one?

  • the clarinet soloist at the beginning...is that kim odom?

  • I wish i had the sheet music for clarinet............

  • thanks so much!

    sounds awesome...

    ;D

  • Thank you!!!

  • este orchestra pueden tocar la musica muy bueno

  • Gracias!!!

  • This orchestral piece has a magnificent beginning.

  • Cuál es el nombre de esa orquesta ????

What is the name of that orchestra ????

  • Brilhante!!!!!

    Parabéns a Rimsky-Korsakov e a essa orquestra!!!

  • I love this song! Si è svolto molto bene!

  • Grazie!!!

  • I love this piece, absolutely fantastic

  • Thank you!!!

  • I remember playing this piece with the Santa Fe Youth Symphony in late 2004.

  • Rimsky-Korsakov=God.

  • muy bella interpretacion, los solos del cuarto movimiento me encantan, me gusta mucho esta pieza..

  • Gracias!!

  • Another clarinetist here. Major clarinet orchestral excerpt repertoire :P

The clarinet solo was very good for the first movement, but I felt that she rushed those last four measures of thirty-second note sextuplets.

Other than that, I think the ensemble played this well :)

  • Thank you!!

  • yeah she definitely rushed it

  • is that jealousy i sense?

  • oh yeah screw you guy

  • Yes, the clarinet solo was very good.

  • Thank you!!

  • A very good performance. The clarinetist was really good

  • Thank you!!

  • JEREMY YING OWNS!
