  • I dont understand why but with this video card im getting 5 fps on low settings on WoW...

    specs are:

    ati radeon 4670 hd

    single core 3.3 ghz processor

    3 gb of ram

shouldnt it be performing better? When i open the catalyst control center it shows the "activity" circle thing under the performance tab at 0% im not sure if thats the video card or the fan or what but i think i might be doing something wrong here? i mean its just world of warcraft it should be running alot better?

  • The only thing that I can think of is maybe that your single core isn't sufficient enough and it would be best to upgrade to a dual, quad or six core.

AMDs are pretty cheap, I recently (around a couple of months ago) upgraded to a Phenom II x6 1090T Black Edition and OC'd it to 3.4GHz, a Asus M5A97 Pro motherboard and a HD6770 for $450...it would probably be less in the US, we get ripped off here in England.

The resolution you game at plays a big part too.

  • @LordReserei01 lol, sorry im such a big pc n00b, but would i be able to do the upgrades you did to your computer with this computer? (I sent u a link in ur inbox). Thanks

  • 5 years later.. Still One of the most Beautifully games ever made graphically.

  • Hey, nice vid. It would be cool if you could help me out with the overclock thing. How did u overclock the E7500, i too have the same processor but couldnt find any way to overclock it

    Plz help

  • I'll send you a PM, it'll take more than the comment section to explain. lol

  • i'm still playing this game

  • You really sucks in this game or is the lag it is bothering you ??

  • I just don't put effort into playing the game when I'm doing these gameplay demos since it's just to show how the game runs on the card/system specs I have and not to show how good or not I am. =)

  • God of AGP

  • you said pcs and agp i'm confused

  • The video card I had was a PowerColor HD4670 PCS 1Gb DDR3 AGP video card. "PCS" is I guess just something they (PowerColor) slap on to make the name sound cool for their flagship cards or something like HIS puts IceQ on their cards.

AGP is the architecture the card uses (which I'm sure you knew/know).

    I've since upgraded to an Asus EAH(D)5670 1Gb GDDR5

  • @LordReserei01 Wow... Do you think this will work P4M80P?

  • The HD4670 AGP?

Yeah, looking at the motherboard on newegg right now and it says the board supports AGP 8X which is needed for the video card. It's a nice card, overclocked nicely to say its an AGP card and the frame rates were a lot better than these videos of mine make it look...Fraps killed the frame rates when recording.

Definitely worth the money if you still have AGP and want low power consumption although I think the card that is king of AGP for power is the HD3850, for performance.

  • @LordReserei01 Thanks, but I think the FSB isn't compatible, mine motherboard has 800FSB and the AGP requires 100+FSB, what do you think?

  • does anyone still play online?

  • @ExplodingGames yeah

  • @BloodEyeV i wanna get it for my pc but i am a little reluctant to getting it because, i have windows 7, and people have said that it was not working.....

    what do u think?

  • @ExplodingGames

once you install the offcial patch the game runs perfect on windows 7,even 64bit

  • hey bro idk i cant find any online servers on that game :/ i got razor game downloaded, could u help me please, or how to fix it so i could see some online servers?? please someone help me i really wanna play this online :)

  • I'm not sure you can play online. It's been a while since I've played this game but a vast majority of torrent games don't allow for online play.

  • hey bro hows it hanging i really hate to bother you again but i have a question about the sony vegas hd platinum 10 my question is you know how some intros have a background with the letters spining its called 3d text if im not mistaken anyways i was wondering if i could do the 3d text in sony vegas movie studio hd platinum 10

  • I don't think it is something that's achievable although I could be wrong. I have a video on 3D Composition Mode (or 3D source alpha) which is needed for doing 3D/spinning text and people have often said they don't get that option but those people have usually had movie studio 9...no-one's ever said they've had 10.

  • it isnt a huge drop. Gears is native 30 fps on xbox also fraps kills even top pcs

  • I've been having somewhat better performance since though after buying a few upgrades with Christmas and all.

    2Gb DDR to 4Gb DDR2 800Mhz (overclocked to 960Mhz

    Asus EAH5670 1Gb (overclocked GPU:900Mhz/Mem: 1100Mhz)

    Gigabyte G41M Combo

overclocked CPU to 3.2Ghz (gonna get an after market cooler and try higher)

    =)

  • (cont)

My AsRock motherboard died on me so had to upgrade a few parts to get me buy on a tight budget. Will probably do another upgrade in a few months or so.

  • @LordReserei01 yo i just wanted to comment to say i love your intro thats pretty bad ass what software do you use to edit videos

  • Thanks.

The 3D animation was done in Blender, a free 3D animating software and then I just added some post FX in Sony Vegas Pro 9.

However, since Sony Vegas Pro 10 came out I've started using that and do my intros entirely in Sony Vegas Pro now. If you want to know what software I use to create and edit my videos, just watch the video featured on my channel "Editing Software - What I Use"...I go through the software, prices and free alternatives. =)

  • @LordReserei01 thats pretty cool i just bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 and i cant wait to get it when i get it i will do a unboxing video if its not too much to ask could you check out my videos and let me know what you think

  • by the way is sony vegas pro 9 pretty much the same as Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10?if not how is it different +

  • Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 is in the lower end. It's good for a lot of things and good for anyone on a budget. It has a few limitations...10 audio tracks, 10 video tracks and a couple of tools that included in Pro 10 aren't included. Vegas Pro is for as the name suggests - prosumers (professional consumers) so contains everything and anythiing.

That said, again...you could use my Vegas Pro tutorials and get great results since I trick to cater for both versions of Sony Vegas..still worth it.

  • I try to cater*

  • @LordReserei01 sounds like i should have gotten pro 10 but hell i got Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 for $50 bucks so thats not bad right

  • Yeah, for $50 it's basically a steal. It's a good start for anyone getting into video editing and even though I said there's a few limitations, they aren't huge ones. You'll still have a lot of functionality compared to if you bought Platinum 9.

That was really stripped down...3 video tracks, 3 audio and like 10 transitions, 10FX. Sony learned that was pretty crappy and changed things.

If you feel like you can no longer do what you want to do, then you could buy Pro later down the road.

  • @LordReserei01 would i be better off getting sony vegas 10 production suite or just stick with what i have

  • Stick with what you're getting/have for now. The production suite comes with Sound Forge, Vocal Eraser, DVD Architect.

Sound Forge is for audio editing, but you could use Audacity for that or use Movie Studio's built in audio plugins.

Vocal eraser lets you create karaoke songs but again, you can do that in Audacity which is free.

DVD Architect, while good and I have used it before...if you have Windows 7, you can use the built in DVD creator just fine or find a free/open source DVD creator.

  • @LordReserei01 aight cool i have used the sony vegas 9 demo i think it was called it was sony vegas though but anyways i used it n i loved it so if what i got is like that then i should be just fine with what i am getting plus i have fruity loops 9 and cool edit pro for the sounds and stuff which i have used on a few of my new and newest videos on my channel plus all im gonna use it for is making intros/videos with special effects so i hope im golden with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10

  • I could never figure out Fruity Loops. A friend gave me a copy in the past...gave up after a while. lol

I switch between Sony Vegas and Adobe Soundbooth for audio editing.

  • i have one more question could i take a video i took with a high quality camcorder and turn that video into a hd video or will it be pretty much the same video or could i edit it and make the colors brighter then what they were and can i take a dark video and make it brighter

  • Yeah, you'd just have to crop the video to match the 16:9 aspect ratio for HD which is easy and I have a tutorial for as well as HD settings.

As for color correction to give it a more professional look, it'd be up to you but that's easily done through Brightness/Contrast and Color curves in Video FX.

Again, I have playlist of 15 videos and counting called "Sony Vegas Pro tutorials"...should work with Platinum 10 since they feature basic tools that are cross platform even if focused on Pro. =)

  • @LordReserei01 yo bro i really need your help on this sony vegas i just got my laptop and sony vegas hd platinum 10 so i have been shooting videos like crazy but my problem is when i render a video or save a video to put on youtube it take fucking ages to upload. am i doing something wrong or do i need to make my videos a different format and what format does youtube use

  • I have a few tutorials for HD settings on my channel but for the most part using Sony AVC and the "Internet 1920x1080-30p" should be perfect.

You could modify a few settings by going to custom (change the following to).

    Video:

    - Bit rate: 192,000

    System:

    - Format: MP4

    Project:

    - Video rendering quality: Best

  • @LordReserei01 Just wondering how you overclock. i was in my oc shop and it said the card could be overclocked for 50% faster

  • It really depends on your video card/brand.

AMD/ATi make it really easy to overclock your video card from Catalyst Control Center via AMD Overdrive. You can change the GPU and memory clock frequencies as well as fan speed to keep the card cool.

For nVidia cards, I'm not sure since I haven't used an nVidia card in years. To cut the long story short, I needed an ugprade and ATi had/have a better array of AGP cards then I guess I just stuck with them.

  • (cont)

It's also important that if you overclock, to do it gradually to ensure stability and safe temperatures.

  • Nvidia GeForce 310 - this game looks seeexxxxxyyyyyy

  • Audio 5/5

  • hey would gears of war rune on windows 7 home premium 64bit?

  • I can't be certain, I know it works with 32-bit. The best advice I can offer is to check out sevenforums[dot]com as I mentioned previously in another comment. There's a bunch of threads relating to games compatibility with 64-bit and how to get them running on there that might be able offer more help than I can.

  • @IneptGamer LoL...Do you really have to get that technical about it?...Gimme a break....I'm a former physics tutor and a computer engineer..I know the difference between 1st/3rd person...We didn't need your 6th grade level 'clarification' in the discussion...Thanks anyway.

  • do you have to have extra power to run the graphics card

  • It depends on the version. The PCI-E version doesn't require any additional power, however the AGP version needs a 4-pin molex connector. I have a full unboxing on my channel under the Misc playlist of the AGP version made by PowerColor (which is what I have and am using) =)

  • Best franchise in the history of FPS...Even better than my beloved Quake II, in every way imaginable.

  • Better than Quake II!?...BLASPHEMY!!!

    Kidding, I agree. =)

  • @LordReserei01 LoL...Although I have yet to find a weapon I enjoyed as much as the Quake II rail gun or Gatling gun...Then again, I have yet to use a weapon I despise as much as Q2's default phaser gun...Can't wait for Gears 3...Hope you have a 360.

  • @LordReserei01 very nice real hd quality recording dude gameplay is good and graphics r good 2.i was not expecting this much better quality...but i must say the video is just awesome..

  • Thanks, I make sure the HD quality is top priority and by the time I made this video, about a year or just ago I had been experimenting with a lot of methods to get the best. =)

  • Is this really on Windows 7? Because Microsoft's site says that GoW is not compatible with that Windows.

  • Yes. There are a few games that Microsoft say aren't compatible with Windows 7 but in reality they are whether you need to do a little research into how to get them running or just by simply running them in Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode from the game shortcut. =)

I suggest looking on a site called sevenforums[dot]com for any help regarding Gears of War since there's loads of threads not just that but of various games to help. =)

It's been a while since I've played this game. XD

  • @LordReserei01 Okay, thx for the tip.

  • man, you desperately need to upgrade your system, get a DDR3 or DDR2 motherboard, and an amd system with a X4 955... and maybe a 5770 DX11, alkl of that wouldnt even be 400 dollars/pounds. :)

  • As I explained in a previous comment, I'm between jobs (currently unemployed) so building a new system is out of the question....I'm on JSA right now. In addition to that, I'm perfectly happy with my system and get decent frame rates in games regardless of my specs (50-60 maxed out with games made in the last year).

I'll probably wait until I'm faced with the prospect of having to play a game on low settings or quad core/DX10/4Gb are the minimum requirements because then I'll be screwed. XD

  • played this on my 5750 ... Can't tell from DX9 and 10...

and they still make AGP Cards???

  • There's a few AGP cards out there although the 4670 1Gb is and was the last AGP card to be made.

I've been between jobs for a while now (damn recession) so not having the money to build a new system and wanting to upgrade...nVidia sucks for AGP, the best you can get is an nVidia GeForce 6100 where ATi pwn...the 4670 PCS 1Gb is close to a nVidia 9600 and does an amazing job for a budget card I think...it's underestimated.

As for DX9/10/11...I can tell the difference that's for sure. lol

  • @SpeeBeta1 there's a HELL of a difference from DX 9/10/11.. especially 11

  • Hot DAMN !! what editing software u use?

  • All of the software I use as well as system specs are in the description at the bottom of the video for all of my videos whether it's gaming or tutorials. ;-)

  • Does the game come with a 64-bit executable? Also, how is online? Is it active? Do people still play? I've already beaten this game on the xbox 360 and want to play this online on the PC (my xbox RROD).

  • I can't say for sure about whether its 64-bit compatible or not as I don't own this game anymore and by that I guess you can gather the answer to your questions about online play is a straight forward "I don't know". lol

  • I guess this game works best with an ATI because I get crappy looking shadows on my Nvidia 8800GT

  • That seems odd. especially since the HD470 in comparison to nVidia cards is close to a 8600/9600 but then again it would make sense Gears of War running better on ATi cards considering the XBox 360 if memory serves me right is a custom ATi chip that's more or less a modified ATi X1800 and this game is more or less a direct port.

I'm not much of a fanboy to say "get ATi!!!"....I'd suggest just looking into the settings of the game and nVidia Control Panel or something, do some tweaking. =)

  • @LordReserei01 Its only Gears of war I have those flickering shadows and not everything this is Post Processing for some odd reason. Only GTA4 and Crysis works perfectly but only Gears of War has theses problems when I put it in Direct X 10 mode and then if I put it in Direct X 9 mode the frame rate suffers. ill see what I can do maybe ill put the shadows or Post Processing to medium with Direct X 10 mode on.

  • Will this be compatible with my AMD Athlon II X4 620 quadcore?

  • more than compatible =)

  • @LordReserei01 was talking about the video card in case u thought i meant the game

  • your a legend. its just i bought this game and im getting a windows 7 32 home premium p.c. thanks. soo much .

  • no problem, I like to help people when and if I can...it's the reason I got on Youtube and do tutorials as well as gameplay videos. =)

  • kk.. how to you run it in that mode ??

  • - Right click on the game shortcut

    - Go to "Properties"

    - Click on "Compatibility"

    - Check/enable "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" then select an operating system from the drop down menu

    - Click "Apply" and "Okay"

    Hope that helps. =)

  • do you no if this game works on windows 7 ??

  • It works perfectly fine as long as you run the game in Windows Vista SP 2 compatibility mode....I'm using Windows 7...click "more info" and you'll see my system specs. =)

  • Thanks mate thats great help, you are gifted :) I dont have the ATI Radeon HD 4670 1GB DDR3 AGP card yet, so you steongly recomend me buying this card for my system? it wil make a huge difference? i have a Nvidia Geforce 7600 gs at the moment, and it plays cod5 in the lowest graphics atm which is poo! would you say i need upgrade me psu aswell? its 340W what would i need for this card ?

  • Thanks and yeah!...it would be a huge step up from the 7600GS since the 4670 is better than an nVidia 9500, closer to a 9600.

The power consumption is low, also runs cool although you need a 400W power supply minimum so you'd need to upgrade, you can pick a decent one up cheap.

You would kill a lot of games on max settings, I get a solid 50FPS for MW2, Batman Arkham Asylum...I have a bunch of gaming videos which looking right now some are under "related videos" that might be of interest. lol

  • 400W PSU?

    I'm running one on a 300W PSU

  • @Operator2422221 yea upgrade your graphics card and you'll see a world of difference, i would suggest the ATI HD5850, its a midrange performance GPU

  • LordReserei01 whats your pc specs? Ive got a P4 with HT 3.4ghz, 2.5gig of ram, and im thinking of buying the ATI Radeon HD 4670 1GB DDR3 AGP, Im hoping to play this game and also call of duty 5, what would you recomend upgrade my whole system or will i be ok with this card in my pc i have now, I aint a serious gamer just want to play this and cod5, nice video btw :) Many thanks in advance for you help

  • Thanks, glad you liked it.

My full PC specs as well as how the game performes frames per second wise in the description...just click "more info" under subscribe.

Although I can tell you from your CPU, RAM and video card that you will most definitely be able to play it as well as Call of Duty.

Check out my video on my channel called "PC Specs: Can You Run It?", teaches you how to use a site that scans your PC's hardware and tells you if you can run a game....it's a site and a great one. =)

  • is the pc graphics betta than xbox?

it looks like it does xbox even have AA?

  • simply put, yes.

If you want a more technical answer.

The Xbox 360 uses a custom ATI chip which is basically a modified X1800 and that is far older than the HD4670 PCS 1Gb.

Consoles often use medium or low rez textures because of this where what you see in PC games such as this video, the textures are of a higher resolution that's why they appear to be better on PC than a Xbox 360 or PS3. =)

  • This is why I love PC gaming more than console...

Before christmas, I was faced with either buying a 360 and Batman Arkham Asylum

    or

HD4670, Intel E7500 (which I've overclocked to an E8400) and Batman

the video card, cpu and Batman was cheaper than an Xbox 360 and I'll still be able to play games on either medium or max graphics settings for more years to come. ^.^

I get around 30-50 FPS with Resident Evil 5 maxed out and DX10.1 (still need to do a video)

  • The Pc version is very buggy, but its still fun.

  • Yeah, I have to agree with you. =)

  • unless I have to understand it well because the origin of the Polish and my english xD limp Trich

  • If I knew Polish I'd probably make a video in Polish for you but sadly I don't. ^.^

  • Thanks for the willingness xD

  • cool intro, and you can also do this to me? xD just a little different so that was not recovered xD

  • The intro took a looong time to save, because it's done using a program called Blender then I changed the color and stuff in Sony Vegas.

If you look on my channel, you'll see a video called "Gaming Video Intro"...it gives you details about what tutorial to use. =)

  • Comment removed

  • cool game! 5/5

  • Thanks, it is...I originally played it on the 360 when it came out...wanted to get it for PC but couldn't until recently after upgrading my video and CPU because my PC sucked incredibly when it was released.

This was the first time playing through the game, actually had this video ready a few days ago...couldn't release it because of the 2010 intro. XD

  • Right xD
