  • Hi, I am just wondering where this is from and what edition you are using, lovely piece of music.

  • what op. is this from?

  • I love this organist. So sensual....

  • Lovely music, organ, church, and organist.

  • OK - one more question. I have a Tandberg 3500X machine (analog) - I will put it against

    digital any day.

  • I'm an organ-phile, not an audiophile, & I'm not going to get into one of those analog-vs.-digital discussions, which can drag on ad nauseam & never be resolved ;-)

I just use whatever equipment I can lug to the site. This was recorded on analog equipment because that's what I had 11 years ago. But digital euipment sure makes things a lot easier to edit.

  • Question # 52: Where is this organ? What church? Who is the builder?

  • Shenandoah, don't you read the information "About This Video" in the upper right-hand corner about 3 inches from this message? ;-) If your name is any indication of where you live, this organ is only about an hour or two away from you.

  • I am an IDIOT! Thanks - I did not pull down the rest of the description. A really NICE

organ - We have a Moller in the Cathedral here in Belleville Ill (3/33)- they, A/S and

Kilgen made some really nice instruments.

Shenandoah? I just picked that name cos our

Chorale performed that piece and it is one of my favs (being from Missouri!)

    Steve

  • We have a nice 3 manual 56 rank Moller with a floating antiphonal division at the church I take lessons at. I absolutely love it

  • The elevacion is so haunting sounding.....it is so gripping the effect lasts for quite a while after the last note is heard....

  • The 3 Preludes & Fugues, op. 7. Esquisse #1 (E min.) & Esquisse #2 (B flat min.) -- spectacularly recorded by John Scott @ St. Paul's, London about 20 years ago. The 1st movement of the Symphonie-Passion (Roth @ St. Sulpice or Cochereau @ Notre Dame). In Dulci Jubilo from the 79 Chorals. The Noel Variations. The Berceuse from Suite Bretonne. I could go on & on. Dupre was a genius.

  • Brava. 5/5.
