  • Do you actually have the treble all the way off and mids at two man I would never have guessed that for jimi tone although your tone is amazing .

  • Sorry for the long time...

I never use the treble and mids, both are always open at 10...

    Thank you

  • dang, i'm speechless

  • one word...BEAST

  • viejo culiao capo..

  • That thumb riff was awesome. Great video.

  • awesome! jimi would be proud this guy has mastered this guiter solo.i challange anyone to go around the world and find somebody that can do it better!

  • is this a 60s strat or 70s

  • awesome ! would love to be able to play this as freely do you do lessons :D

  • Hey this is Voodoo Child. There is Voodoo Chile though.

  • This really rocks!! Very nice.

  • man your the next hendrix..!!!

  • yeaaaaaahh....bad ass...one of my favorites of jimi's.....

  • No, it´s child, not Chile.

  • no lol it actually is chile..

  • lol no actually your both idiots, they are two different songs, voodoo chile is the original and then you get voodoo child (slight return)

  • ooo that really hurt, i might just cry -.-

  • I used to own a valvestate 80 watt best amp i ever owned wished i had never sold it now . It was a great amp . Man you can rip .

  • dude was amazing, one little thing. its voodoo chile not "child"

  • actually it is "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" The 15 minute "Voodoo Chile" is a different song...there was a mix up when making the album: it was called "Chile" because that's what they thought jimi wanted the name to be. Jimi intended for it to be "Child". thats why The 15 minute "Voodoo Chile" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" are spelled differently.

  • Part one:

xylex81 is absolutely rhight. Take the Electric Ladyland album, and as the last song on the record, you'll find the famous "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)". This is the heavy blues rock song that every guitar player knows. A little bit back in the of songs, on the fourth place you'll find the song "Voodoo Chile", a 15 minute slow blues (tuned town to DGCFAD). This is what it actually was all about for Jimi in the beginning.

  • Great stuff.

  • omg u are my idol. that was awsome. i totally feel that. o and was that the woodstock version? great playin. i hope im as good as u one day

  • Damn...that was completely awesome. I wish I could play half as well and I'd be happy :(

  • Really well played. What colour is that strat, olympic? Vintage?

  • That was some extremely fine playing there! Can I ask what pickups you use and what size strings?

  • Thanks for your comment,

I use GHS 008 1/2 to 039 strings and the pickups comme from 1970 Stratocaster

    Thanks

  • A Marshall orange?

    Wheee :)

  • do u leave your wah pedal on when u play this

  • What edition amp is that because i saw a logo in the bottom corner?

  • thanks, is a Marshall VS65 R Orange Crunch limited edition

  • VERY VERY GOOD

    great vid

  • your really good how long you been playin and how did you learn these song?

  • Thanks, I play since Jimi died in 1970...

I learned all the music by ear... and some videos

    Peace And Happiness

  • I see you have VOX wah... I own the same myself, and I'am very pleased with it, although it tends to give that "boiling kettle" whine when I'm playing with a preamp (well, it's not a preamp, it is a Marshall Jackhammer pedal, which I like to use as a preamp). But still that wah is great. Keep rockin'! Long live Jimi!!

  • Great video, Enrique!

What a chord is that at 00:55, 00:58, 01:00 and so on?

I was always playing it as a "mini chord" with only the b- and the high e-string on the 3. frets, but this is not 100% correct, since it sounds much fuller in your video...

  • Is a Major E chord, and the G "note" is played on the

third fret of the E string...

    Thanks for watching

    Peace and Happiness

  • Your hands move lot like Jimi's. Awesome cover.

  • peace to you

  • i cant tell do u have ur distortion on low or on a clean sound with lots of gain cuz when i play the notes from 1:39 to 1:45 it doesnt sound very "powerful"

  • This Marshall have a clean channel and a overdrive channel, I use the second with the gain at 10...

    Thanks

  • Did you acctually change the nut for your strats or did you buy them that way?

  • no, I just turned the nut up side down

    Thanks

  • Right on man. Love your music

  • do you like SRV's version?

  • of course...

  • You.. Are... GOD!

  • no... if I was... Jimi will never die...

    Thanks

    Peace and Happiness

  • Hehe, guess you're right. I've watched some of your videos and I really admire your work.

It brings joy to my heart seeing someone 'older',no offence, bringing life to Jimi's music once again!

Todays music just ain't the same...

    Rock on!

  • You're right too, music is not the same as our today's life don't get the same goodness... Old times good times... anyway, we have to believe to the Peace and Happiness, brotherhood and respect!

  • Enrique, thanks for showing the knob settings on the VS65R. Could you also show the settings on your DC-5? I own both of these amps, and would like to know your DC-5 settings, too.
