I heard from a rabbi that the word "day" in Genesis in hebrew is "Yeom" which translates to "age" and that the word "on" is actually "in". So Genesis actually reads "In the first age" which denotes a long period of time between the "days" or "ages".

The human consciousness veil is not the only level of consciousness. You are ALL that is, each one. To say that you have life AFTER death is to validate the illusion of time and it doesn't exist. You are consciousness "before" your incarnation and "after," Death is an illusion. Death is simply an alteration of your consciousness, thinning out the limted human veil of consciousness. To say that you are all that is also means you are the past and future at once for there is really only the now.

The bible is CRAP. All religion is CRAP. Time is an illusion. There is never a "begining" for if there has to be a begining then "god" has to have a begining as well. Time is an illusion, all you have is the now. The future is but a concept it doesn't physically exist and the past doesn't physically exist "anymore." The present moment is always "going" into the past which is GONE. It'a all an illusion for human consciousness to have a linear reality. To FEEL out of control.

Thankfully, we still have freedom of speech and press - to some degree - on the Internet, and we can exercise those rights in some places within reason. I happen to believe in God and I define him in my own way. Some would call Him a Higher Power or The Source. @C68M68L. Of course we are more than flesh. I am NOT a materialist atheist. But there is NO such thing as a "higher power." We are all one. Our consciousness is unified, it is not seperate. Entities are simply different angles or perspectives of consciousness. Ever feel someone looking at you without even your peripheral vision to give you a clue? We are all connected. Each entity is all there is and yet we are all nothing. Consciousness creates to get away from that.

I definitely DO believe in a Higher Power. I also believe in life after death, consciousness continuing after death, ghosts, angels, and some kind of life in the Spirit world. Our consciousness is perhaps BOTH separate and unified. I am most definitely an INDIVIDUAL, but I am part of humanity and the human race. I think a global consciousness has been emerging over the past 10 years or so, and computers have helped that along. Yes, I've felt a presence before.

@C68M68L. Yeah there's a "higher power" but we aren't seperate from it. We ARE it. It's only seperate to those who believe it's seperate. Your reality is what you believe it is. You are creating every bit of your reality through your sub conscious and conscious beliefs no matter what you MAY say otherwise. It's like sticking your right arm behind your back and believing it's gone. You can't lose your spirituality, you hide from it very well but you can't lose it.

Thank you for your comment and for sharing your thoughts. I believe there is a Judgment Day and we all must answer to God and give an accounting for how we chose to live on this earth. Different belief systems and faiths may give this another name, but it doesn't really matter, since we'll all know the truth when the time comes. I respect the belief systems of others, just as I want others to respect mine.

Open the New Testament, be open minded, and then look into the history of the Bible with the history of mankind. And then add quantum physics, biology, philosophy, and psychology into the picture. lets say it comes from an infinite energy source.

dont you think that source could be intelligent, as to be able to think and controll the energy ?

that energy is to what many call god. and that energy is god. for god is in all, and god is all.

Agreed, BugChampion. And I would add that as we destroy it, we ultimately destroy ourselves. My reading from The Book of Genesis is just that - a reading, with photographs and 'film' footage to tell the story about the creation as presented in the Bible. In the Bible, God has given mankind dominion over the Earth, meaning we have control over it, which we do, to a certain degree. With that control comes responsibility. In my own opinion, we could work on being more responsible. :)

Even as we inadvertently destroy it, "Gaea" will always head back torwards perfect balance. We will never truly be able to obliterate everything. Polar bears and so forth may die, but life goes on.

The more we seperate ourselves from nature in our minds, the more we doom ourselves. Our days are numbered.
