The fact of the matter nowadays is that most the soldier who reached the rank of major and colonel retire from the army voluntarily and the benefits they received are much more than any civilian would have achieved in a similar capacity in any other department....

Also, other than gulsher , both kashif and faraz have left army and as depicted in ABC they did not achieved the higher ranks ..
