  • hi kevin

Good to hear from you. How can I forget you mate. Hows life? We had Kawasoe out for last 6 years but no more , usual stuff. training with kanazawa next month and Patrick mcarthy. He is very amasing in kata applications. Not your usual. Cheers Mate I'll say hi to Caroline for you.

  • Hi there! I just came across this video and saw your comment. Was just wanting to know why you stopped training with Kawasoe and the comment "usual stuff?" Thanks

  • am currently under his instruction.

  • trained under him back in the late 70s / early 80s.

    good karateka n instructor

  • Sensei Jackson is extreamly impressive, i have trained on a course with him and hope to go on another one next month. I train regularly under sensei tom martin,5h dan, and sensei matt pain,4th dan, (also a sensei at sensei jacksons leicester club) at the loughborough students shotokan karate club.

  • what year is this film from?

  • this is 1987. Bob hagues dojo sheffield.

  • Oh rite, the year i was born :p. I thought he looked different but didn't realise was that old. I'm a 2nd year at leicester uni where rick has been based for as good as 30 years. I have the privilege to train with him every wednesday night for 2 hours and certain saturdays. He's greyer now with no facial hair but 8th dan, and just as impressive. He's a legend indeed

  • Give Sensei Rick a Hello from Darren Hunter in New Zealand. Our dojo has had Kawasoe out for the last 7 years. cheers happy hard training

  • More Sensei Jackson please. He is a legend. I trained a number of times with him. He is without doubt the best karateka I have had the honour to train with. The story of him training in Japan and the fear! he brings is beyond anything I have experienced since. A giant in more senses than one!
