The story goes just before the fight Berbick demanded more money or he wouldn't fight. Takada the top draw and owner was forced to pay up, but decided to teach Berbick a leason by turning what would essentially have been a worked exibition into an actual shoot. It would explain Berbick complaining to the ref, but hey who pays the refs wages.

Why in the world would a boxer not punch thats what a boxer does. Those kicks are being pulled by the wrestler as well this is clearly staged.

@jorgekluney You also have to understand as company boss it was also Takada's main source of income, so assuming the story is true to suddenly demand more money at the last minute knowing the crowd was sitting and waiting for you in the main event is also pretty shitty. Not saying either are completely innocent just reporting the facts as I understand them and playing devils advocate.

Mercer, Botha and Butterbean repeatedly got kicked in the legs from actual K-1ers.... and they were able to handle it. Rizzo doesn't kick any harder than a top heavyweight K-1er
@jorgekluney I give all those boxers credit from the K-1 matches , even though none did very well . Mercer and Botha were passed their prime getting into this, and Botha was never that great of a boxer and Butterbean a joke .

Nope. Hes an MMA fighter...just like EVERYONE who fights in the UFC these days. Only in the 1st few UFCs were the fighters coming from a single style.
A boxer has got basically NO chance against a grappler(wrestler, BJJ etc etc) or MMA fighter. JDS is MUCH more than a boxer.
