Son of a biiiitttchhh my god that was beautiful so much emotion behind it. As if he were telling or translating Bach music to an actual story! purely brilliant!
The Chaconne has (over the past year when I discovered it) had me listening to it like every single day. I'm at the moment working through all the movements of the Partita (the allemanda is definitely a alot easier :P). There is of course no question that Bell's technique is amazing, however once you have heard the Chaconne by Itzhak Perlman, there's no turning back. Both have competely different play styles, however Perlman's portrayal and style fits this piece like nothing else. IMO :)
Wonderful performance of this masterpiece. Very thoughtful interpretation of this highly profound and esoteric work. Sound quality is very beautiful and lyrical. Wish I could see the whole performance.

You know, this is an amazing piece... But I was mostly mesmerized by the color of his eyes. I've never seen them open before. They're... beautiful.

Joshua Bell is a wonderful violinist. I'll definately buy this CD, if only to hear this stunning recording of the Chaconne.

@rulesoftheinn LOL if you know he played Chaconne twice at the station a few years ago but no one really knew him. D;

I am absolutely fascinated with this performance - the whole power of Bach is at the same time so fluent and so energetic and inspiring!
Thank you, Joshua Bell!
