modern games cannot implement features like this because it takes to much time and power to simulate... only way to pull these things off in games is to pre-compile them, which makes them static... meaning that you cannot just run around and shot random objects to have them explode like this
@PhibeRCoRe Its for television and film, so it would be. But technology in games is not super far off, check out Pixelux's DMM software, such as that used in Force Unleashed. Obviously, it's not like this, but it's still really cool.
i've got to say that today's computers cant compute those kind of things realtime, so there is needed more time before we can see those things in games.
i like this video... its nice

@Flylake i ment like some small simple game! Not much of animationing/scripting but alot of breakable stuff :)
ROBLOXisthebestparas 6 months ago
what Programm has you take for this? sry because my english...

damn this is sick!!
it would be interesting how long this took to render?
Darksnipa949 9 months ago
@Darksnipa949 it shouldn't take long, since there are no lights and shading. probably rendered with scanline?

This is better then my girlfriend!

when does it come out?

incredible!

This can't be done in realtime with framerate above 5 or more FPS. Probably rendered a LOT and I mean a LOT of time.
Anyway very cool vid.

now THIS is what everyine wants in a game... FULL DESTRUCTION

Very impressive but what kind of hardware is required to run these simulations?

where can i get this?!

Roughly how long do most simulations take to render the physics/video?
Asdam12 2 years ago
That depends on a lot of things but 12-24 hrs is average...on one core... Go to slamfx(dot)com for more info...
ExtremeLoadingTech 2 years ago
Wow, that's incredibly fast for such simulations.
Asdam12 2 years ago
This looks nice but one thing that bothers me is that there's not nearly enough friction and weight!
Denmon0728 2 years ago
really awesome.
i want to see this in the new game RAGE but unfortunatly it wont happen :3
i hope that this will appear in EVERY future game.
Today , pc systems can handle this.

mhh have you seen physx games?
or red faction?
its not as detailed as this , but its dynamix destruction.
maybe in 1 year :3
PivotmasterE2100 2 years ago
Well usually games are developed more than one year, some even 5 years or more.
It would be quite good to have a games with fully destructible environment, but there always will be limits.
martin128 2 years ago
yah but it takes a day for this to happen in real time. processors will need to get A LOT faster before we see this in games

wow, pure awesomness!
