I'm glad I'm a girl because honestly it seems easier to just carry it like girls usually do, so my arm supports most of the books and my other hand can do other things if it needs to.

I was also the kid that everyone else set their watches to. If they arrived for class before I did it was a natural consensus that they had arrived earlier than necessary. The times that I arrived genuinely late threw everyone's sense of time out completely.

I carried my books under one arm, but after having them dumped a couple times, started wrapping them with a couple 'functional book straps' (google that to see some). Although such book straps only came in gray when I had them. With two straps snugged around both the sides and ends of the books, it made a bundle that was hard (not impossible) to knock out, but easy to pick up. It also kept my papers from being scattered out of the notebook which would otherwise have popped open.
i live in california and never had to worry about how my backpack was, though i did notice all the guys who thought they were cool carried their books under one arm, just to seem like they didnt care haha
When I was in school mostly all the guys carried their books in 1 arm with the occasional guy carrying them on his head. About half of the girls carried their books the way they did in your vid but me and the other half of the female population carried them with the bottom of the books sitting on our hips and holding them in our arm or arms like a child. To me it was easier that way cuz then you had a free hand if needed.
At my current high school, I do not know a singular person who does not use a backpack to carry books. And despite the fact that it is distinctively more "cool" to only use one of the straps, everyone seems to use both for the pure fact that it gives the impression that this person simply doesn't care if they appear to be cool.
Well that wasn't much of a problem for me because everyone here uses backpacks... it is hard to carry 7 books and 7 notebooks a day no matter how strong you are...
I remmeber walking around school after the bell rang carrying this stupid CLEAR pack on both shoulders. A group of boys walked by and asked if i was skipping class. One said I was too dorky to skip class because of my bag,they walked away laughing. The worst part was that I WAS skipping, and had missed my chance to make it into the cool croud. But the upside was that nobody ever stopped the nerd for not being in class. Just LOOK like you're going somewhere important ;)
My old middle school didn't let us have bookbags. So between classes, I put all my books in my jacket and slumped it over my shoulder, like a bag. My teachers hated this but they couldn't take my jacket away so they had to put up with it. Best part about it was if someone was messing with you, this "Bag of Books" quickly turned into a "Wrecking Ball"

We're not even allowed backpacks. The reason? Books can fit in them.

My old middle school didn't let us have bookbags. So between classes, I put all my books in my jacket and slumped it over my shoulder, like a bag. My teachers hated this but they couldn't take my jacket away so they had to put up with it. Best part about it was if someone was messing with you, this "Bag of Books" quickly turned into a "Wrecking Ball"

In my school in Morocco,we all wear backpacks or a bookbag with a strap,from elementary school to high school,in university,we carry it the way we want to,we can just bring a paper to write the teacher's notes and no one would bother you about any of this,there is not much violence and bugging in our high school so I just undrestand it that american high schoolers are big headed savages o.o

In Germany everyone have a backpack and the most wear it on both shoulders.

@Flemmi93 i think, in germany, the pupils aren't that mean, too. or maybe they are, but they don't do things like throw your books down in the hallway.

in australia almost all the schools have uniforms so most of the schools have backpacks with their emblem on them that you have to use.

Aww poor lev. Man, some people thought way too much about how they carry their books. Although it is very girly to carry your books with both arms to your chest.
Me, I'd just carry all my stuff under one arm so that I can use my other arm to open doors and using a cart or backpack would waste time putting them in and out and it would take up a lot of space. I'm kind of rambling...

I had a rolling backpack in junior high, yeah people always thought it was funny to kick it as they walked by. I eventaully switched back to a nirmal backpack.
