Thank you for the wonderful tutorials. They are easy to follow, well explained ...especially since I am teaching myself to crochet ( am a knitter but keen to learn crochet) and I am enjoying learning all these new skills.
Heyloo Ok, so I'm making this right now and Every time I tat my lace looks TINY, way smaller than yours but it's super neat, Is there such thing as doing it too tight and neat? I dont do it so tight to the point where it puckers or bunches and I don't have trouble moving my hook
This was surprisingly simple to make. thank you for teaching this to us:) i just finished my little flower. is there any way to make it bigger like a cup coaster size?
I'm looking to make these into earrings. I really like big earrings but I think this might be a bit big for me. lol. Is there a way to make this a bit smaller? Maybe so that its 3 inches in diameter?
hi, thank you so much for this motif design. i did it and it came out well except that i guess i took more number of rings at the start and at the end the motif gets folded by few flowers. But its woonderful knitting. i enjoyed it. Can you please suggest any other motif designs.
hello Teresa I tried this pattern and t's very beautiful and thx t you and your instructions it's much easier but I have a question if I want to make a bigger piece and add more rounds do I have to add more stitches in the chains that links the shells and add more chains to the shells or what? and can you show us how to make other patterns with thread or crochet cotton?thx a million <3
@Aguaatlantis You are not the first person to fall asleep watching one of my videos. I will send you the beginner crochet list, which is a good place to start.
@canrsiegrl I am working on this project now and I tried adding more rounds by adding more chains to the shells and more stitches to the chains that links between the shells and it's getting bigger and it's as beautiful as the exaplme of Teresa ^^ Just remeber that it should remain 12 shells per round and you may add no chains and no stitches to link in tw rows that are successive :)
good luck with your crochet and thanks again Teresa <3
Hi Theresa, thank you for this great video I learn from them with my sister, I have a question how could we do a jacket from this simply Elegant crochet ?
@Rahoom1990 You can sew the points together . You can also work half circles for shaping around the neck. What I would suggest is drawing out a design for how you want the motif to fit together.
Hey Theresa, I was wondering if you could show how to do the spiral popcorn crochet on here? that would be wonderful. I know there are so many more crochet string patterns, and I wish there was more like this one..
This is absolutely lovely and you are so kind to share your vast talents. I'm not quite sure what I did wrong, but I ended up with 23 shells instead of eleven on row six. I guess it's back to basics for me. :-) Keep it up, you're very inspiring!

hi Terasa. I am following your steps, but my work is getting curly since round 3 and it getting even worse next rounds. Can you please help me with the solution? is that because I crochet too tight? thank you so much for sharing us this video.
What if I want to make a round dining table cover which is 60" in diameter..how much thread do I need to make this motif for the whole table?is there other color for this kind of thread? Thank you!
thank you very much fot this easy doily do you have more video's for simpel doilys like this??i have leard crochet from your video's but i can't read patterns yet so if you have some links for vids like this please send it to me and keep up the good work
Sorry, your tutorials are great but i am just learning and i need something that is easy.Maybe like a easy doily.Tell me if you can make a video like that.
teresa, do you think you would be doing a bigger doily tutorial, I would love to make one for my mom as a christmas gift. My grandmother used to have these all over and sadly, with grandchildren (one being my son) things get stained and ruined over the years. Would be an amazing gift to give her. This motif is really easy and nice but I'm self taught and have a hard time understanding the patterns. This one only larger would be nice. Do you have something like this?
you should make more videos with doilies and maybe a video with a man beanie with triangle earflaps and braided ends to tie the earflaps since its almost winter
i love watching your instructions your the best crochet teacher i ever had. now my question is have you ever done a project with chenel yarn? i just bought a box full of chenel yarn but the yarn is so frail that finding the right project is almost difficult. what would you recommend using this yarn for?
My recommendation is to crochet it with another strand of yarn, of similar color. That has worked well in the past for me. I will send you a video link for crocheting with novelty yarn.
You can take this motif and make it with yarn. Each motif will be larger with the yarn. I would recommend a size E or F crochet hook and 3-ply yarn, about 6 skeins of the baby yarn.
Thank you SOOOO very much for teaching me how to crochet! I started about 3 weeks ago, and already have a ton of projects finished! I am interested in enlarging this motif, to make it fit my 60" round kitchen table.... after Round 5, Id like to just keep making it bigger and bigger until it fits my table and before adding the final round to it... Im kind of stuck. hehe. Is there a quick trick in how to just keep making Round #5 bigger and bigger? You really are like a spider! Thank you!
Thanks for the speedy response.I love what you do here, and the fact that you will do a whole project on camera for all of us , is greatly appreciated.I look forward to the new project. Once again Thank You.

@pheonixphire Work the pattern with yarn and an appropriate size crochet hook. You may need to add more chains if it pulls to much.

I guess with the thread, I feel like I need more control over it or something. Any suggestions on how to hold it looser or should I be holding it tighter than the yarn? You make working with thread seem so easy!!
angel793086 3 years ago
It is not necessary for you to hold thread tight. What you would do is focus on holding the hook looser as you are crocheting. I have seen some hooks with thick grips that might help but I have not tried them out. I have a tendency to hold my steel hooks tighter and wind up with a sore hand on occasion. My sore wrist is a reminder for me to loosen up on the grip.
