Doesn't surprise me at all. I knew the romance wouldn't last long. Ed and Al pretty much turned into ego driven assholes who don't want to get along with anyone they work with. VH were pretty much over after Michael Anthony was fired anyway. At least they'll live on with their albums anyway.

I LOVE VH, I was at THIS SHOW,...........I was DISSAPOINTED! Eddie was either effed up drinking wise or his chops are falling off a cliff. Lets say he was just wasted, I'd rather believe that! One reason, it was close to new Years and he MUST OF BEEN ringing in the new year.

It was his hand problem. He started having severe pain in his hand and had to have surgery recently-I saw him in New Orleans and he was having a hard time...he says he should be all healed and ready for the 2010 tour.

It's true that Eddie's playing revolutionized the face of Rock and spawned a whole generation of shredders. No one can take that away from him. But this has to be the worst performance by the legend I have ever seen, and as a die hard VH fan, I can tell you I've seen a few. You can call it "muting" or "bad sound quality" all you want, but you can't mask playing slop and that's exactly what we have here. It's sad to watch your childhood heroes become caricatures of themselves.

Van Halen was my favourite band when I grew up. Although I prefer the Sammy Hagar era, this reunion with Dave could've been interesting. Wolfgangs new. Drastic improvements in short time, 1 tour. Its blasphemy to praise the father and curse the son. Roth, sounded rusty at the start, but blending in better all the time. Missing Sammy, and Michael, appears they are having fun in Cabo(one of these days id like to go there twice) No one seems to understand what you have here, & how rare it is. Decades later=new again. Cant wait to hear him in new music, guys please, w/ Vintage edge, and how about a 6 or 7 man recording on next album?
