Because those Blue dogs aren't really Democrats. They say they are but they only ran as a Blue Dog cause they are trying to reach a broader range of voters cause they are usually in a relatively conservative area. If there were more real Dem's or more Liberals this wouldn't be the issue and they would press on with their agenda but since there are so many Blue Dogs it makes it difficult to get a whole lot done and that is why they are looking weak to the American people.
The real problem is progressives rally behind centralist Dems and aviod going far left. Both Clinton and Obama were the more conservative choices in the primaries they got more votes because they were figured to have the best chance of winning not because they wholeheartedly supported a liberal agenda. This is a mistake, look at Huckabee in the caucuses, his supporters lobbied very hard on his behalf and he did surprisingly well for someone who didn't come of as remotely near the center.
Politians like Nader and Kucinich have hugely popular views among liberals but never recieve the same amount of support as their centralist counterpart because liberals seemingly bynature try to comprimise with the other side. If progressives start to actually support the canidates that reflect their views and really rally behind them then this shit wouldn't happen. We should not be marginalised when we are the clear majority.
Maybe a better question is: how could the Conservatives weaken the country financially and so much so that they have to go to a 3rd world tyrannical country like China with hat in hand asking for $2,000,000,000,000 to fight a war that was started by 11 beer buddies? Germany has already partially figured this out and produced products that can't be outsourced immediately. You keep blaming unions when you should really be going after the billionaires. You should want your fellow workers to be paid as much as possible so that in turn you will also have increased wages which cut into the profit margins of the rich.

Because those Blue dogs aren't really Democrats. They say they are but they only ran as a Blue Dog cause they are trying to reach a broader range of voters cause they are usually in a relatively conservative area. If there were more real Dem's or more Liberals this wouldn't be the issue and they would press on with their agenda but since there are so many Blue Dogs it makes it difficult to get a whole lot done and that is why they are looking weak to the American people.

The real problem is progressives rally behind centralist Dems and aviod going far left. Both Clinton and Obama were the more conservative choices in the primaries they got more votes because they were figured to have the best chance of winning not because they wholeheartedly supported a liberal agenda. This is a mistake, look at Huckabee in the caucuses, his supporters lobbied very hard on his behalf and he did surprisingly well for someone who didn't come of as remotely near the center.

Politians like Nader and Kucinich have hugely popular views among liberals but never recieve the same amount of support as their centralist counterpart because liberals seemingly bynature try to comprimise with the other side. If progressives start to actually support the canidates that reflect their views and really rally behind them then this shit wouldn't happen. We should not be marginalised when we are the clear majority.

Maybe a better question is: how could the Conservatives weaken the country financially and so much so that they have to go to a 3rd world tyrannical country like China with hat in hand asking for $2,000,000,000,000 to fight a war that was started by 11 beer buddies? Hmmm. Now Iran is daring the USA to meddle further and start a new war....another $2,000,000,000,000. World War III will be fought on Wall Street and stock exchanges - the military will be something to be found in museums.
