that's OK video, but I gotta ask one question: shouldn't you always keep an eye on your opponent, I mean, to look in front of you when performing any of the techniques? at least, that's what my sensei often warned me about on trainings so I couldn't help myself not noticing that stuff kinda missing in here - correct me if I'm wrong :S
yeah, forgot to mention - to be more precise, I meant - not to loose an opponent from your sight when rolling and stuff, cause turning your head back or looking in the floor during the rolling - not very clever stuff to do if you gotta use it in real fight :P
@Ookamizu Your Sensei is absolutely right - it is imperative that you keep your eyes on your opponent, although during the roll there will be an instant where you may not be able to maintain eye-contact. This video is designed to show the mechanics of the roll to students just learning ukemi, not necessarily their application in a fight. Thanks for the very insightful comment!
How exactly is this LARPing (live action role playing for our readers)? Ukemi is taught in a variety of martial arts: Aikido, Jujutsu, and others. Might be taught a little different, but its the same in priniciple. Are you calling those practioners idiots too?
It is my pleasure. Please check out our channel for more techniques (and subscribe). We are in the process of making more videos, any other basics you would like to see a video on?

I'll talk to Shihan Woodard and see if we can do one on that. Thanks for your feedback, keep training!
