  • "But Mr.Golden's dead"

    "No his son"

    "Oh"

  • Andy is AWESOME!!!

  • @Blavat666 Speaking in such a way toward anyone, especially when they are no longer on earth to defend themselves, is absolutely vile in every way particular.

  • People who dont like Andy's art are idiots.

  • Hmm, I'd take the statement that Brigid did all his paintings for the last three years with a HUGE grain of salt. She may have "done" a few, but so what. Andy always used assistants and was always in control of the finished product (except maybe once in a while). I'm assuming they're just trying to be provocative when they say that.

  • what brought me to this guy was a story on yahoo mentioning a painting from him is going for 30 million dollars. wows. now how much does a painting of elvis go for?

  • he painted???

  • u sound like u r high

  • Does anyone know who the interviewer is?

  • Warhol used silkscreen to do most of his work and making these screens don't usually take a long time. Also, it is a known fact that Warhol injected himself with amphetamines and other things so he could work longer during the night and not feel tired.

  • @jocelyna38:

    Most artists are "faggots".

What do you search on this page ?

A reason to puke out your emptyness ????

  • @jocelyna38 Why would YOU care about a "faggot", enough to post a COMMENT? silly bitch

  • Why even use the word unless talking of a cigg, your dumb....And most likely "WHITE TRASH".....

  • @14matt02 Your response ....makes no sense! You fail silly bitch...and miserably!

  • Most of the Renaissance masters did not paint much their own work either. They instead instructed apprentices who mostly died unknown. "Good artists borrow, great artists steal." Whether Andy Warhol is great or not is up to the individual, but the fact of the matter is that he is still stirring controversy 24 years later.

  • I figure Andy likes to hear what people say of him or what he says to people. Very calculating. I give him credit for his work, as it is really awesome, but he got away with a lot for being an iconic figure for Pop Art.

  • I love how in most of his interviews he turns to his friends to ask them for their opinion on the interviewers question. I suppose it's for his mystique which we all know was as enormous as our atmosphere.

  • Pop.

  • an interesting guy

  • @russianchick855

Really? I think if I tried hard enough I couldn't think of anyone *less* interesting than Warhol.

  • Wow in this vid Andy looks so fucking hot.

  • You are doing the same, and maybe 100,maybe less people have noticed.Criticizing artists is rather pointless.

  • Comment removed

  • Exactly. I love Andy but the truth is the truth.

  • In other words, everything that art is!

  • I just looooove andy warhol!!!!!!!!That's good about him! you either love him or say he's a freak!

  • Football players are freaks

  • Either way, he wins. Dont you think? Im with you, love Warhol...

  • I wish we could actually get to hear what Clement Greenberg was going to say about Pop Art in this clip. I like how the editing job simply showed him saying "Pop" before cutting back to the Warhol interview.

  • "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasier." :)

  • I wish that Andy is still alive so he can see his 15 minute of fame on youtubers!

  • right, bridget and a guy named ronnie would make silkscreen copies, and sell em on their own sometimes:Fake warhols- but everyone knows the warhol style so there really not truly fake- see

  • @ioriorioriorio did he sign them? sounds like not. funny concept.

  • wasn't that sort of the point?

  • HE IS SOOOOOOOOOO DAMN SEXXXXY.

  • Does anyone know what year this is from?

  • early 70's... after the factory stuff kinda came to a halt...and his wigs got more full.

  • Andy Warhol is cute

  • THE GREATEST!

  • AH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it is weel-known that he did not make his own works, and there is nothing wrong with that. All of the rennaissance masters had assistants and pupils that painted paintings for them.

  • Brilliant point, chandru! To me, Warhol's factory is basically a master's workshop.

  • Okay, if "there's nothing wrong with that", what do you have to say about artists that DO all their own work? Like Norman Rockwell? real artists are prolific enough to do it on their own imo - look at the works of one of my faves, Alex Ross - he's a one man production line.

I know how artists like Raphael contracted others to construct statuary - but what you said is a bit disingenous: they were all based on Raphael designs, drafting, and even moulds.

  • Ok, well tell that to Chuck Close, Odd Nerdrum, Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons, all of which use assistants, God knows they arent "real artists". Just because you have help creating the piece doesn't mean that you didn't have an important role in the concept, which at least in Modern art is more important than how productive you are individually.

  • Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons are real con artists.

  • I know aren't they great?

  • No.

  • sour puss

  • Tu t'es pas regardé.

  • I am not going through all of the effort to find out what that means...I speak English, the international standard and have no need for foriegn languages.

  • @chandru1103 Will you go through the effort to spell "foreign" in English? Just teasing. :)

  • @AriDominique and Close.

  • @chandru1103 OK, now that's going too far! You at least have to spell "well" correctly. Come on! :)

  • Quick typing leads to overlooked mistakes, my friend. And I can't see how any of those mistakes are relevant to this discourse.

  • Wow...all them drugs takes a toll

  • So this is the interview where Andy credits Brigid for his paintings and everyone became skeptical whether, in fact, he creates his own art or not, lol. I guess with Andy people just don't know what to believe. xD Franky, I think the man was nothing short of amazing. I love Brigid, too. She's proven to be a loyal friend of Andy's 'till the end of his days. From A to B and back again. ;D

  • that money that those damn lawyers spent on the so called foundation coul have gone to FEED THE POOR ANDY WARHOL WOULD BE DISSAPOINTED FUCKING MONEY HUNGRY PEOPLE.

  • I met Brigid at a reading she gave in NYC in 04/2007...I got her autograph and was in heaven for a week!

  • I love Brigid! Thanks

  • interesting interview!

  • what year was this ?

  • Im so glad you (whoever "you" happens to be) uploaded this video. I just soiled my panties, let me tell you.

While we're on the subject of the Andy Warhol Foundation (we are, right?); I came across a very nice (or what once was a very nice) website dealing with Andy and the Factory. It had all of his polaroids on it or something like that. Well, the Andy Warhol Foundation, as it said on the site, threatened to sue him. He was forced to shut it down. Doesnt that make you angry?

  • The warhol foundation is run by foundation "careerists" and lawyers who have billed the Warhol foundation for tens of millions of dollars. warhol hated lawyers and would be "spinning in is grave" as Brigid Berlin put it. Philip Treacy had made a pair of camouflage shoes for a museum show and was served with legal papers by the warhol foundation, wasting tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees over something so small. what a waste.

  • Watch "andy warhol authentication" parts one through seven on youtube. really good expose

  • hell yes....they have absolutely no credence when it comes to authentication...as long as there are less auntheticated warhols...the more theyre own works are worth.

  • finally i know how he could make 900 flower paintings and thousands of mao paintings in 3 months.

why have the warhol foundation pushed out all of warhols closest associates? where are gerard malanga, paul morrissey, brigid berlin, sam green, billy name and why are they all against what is going on with the warhol foundation?

  • its all about money!!

  • Yes, the Andy Warhol Foundation is almost always in litigation of some sort due to their money-grubbing ways. It's a constant cycle. I'm amazed they still even exist with some of the tricks they've pulled, along with the Warhol Authentication Board (which has recently been taken to court).

  • i know, it's amazing how powerful they can be, hoefully the truth will come up soon...
