@1984Phalanx but dude, he's so nice and plays along and is all around awesome... don't yell in his face. play-yell. be like, "Mr. Wheaton?" He says, "ye--" and you're like, "Shut up, Wesley! Sorry, I had to do that."
this was bad bad bad ST movie... official anounce of death of ST... its good that Gene Rodenberry doesnt see what they had done to his wonderful project...
@hal9khal you know from the people that say it was bad they didn't understand that a Romulan went back in time to change the pass and thus this movie goes on about that.
So just because you say it bad i belive you didn't understand that the pass was being changed.
and i thought this movie was good better then the TOS series but then again im more of a enterprise and TNG series guy myself.
He was also in a red Star Fleet Uniform sitting next to Scotty in the transporter room scene where Kirk and Sulu are beamed back after the fight on the Romulan drill.
@miekatilley Oh, well they sure look similar, but now that you mention it the guy does look a lot like Doohan anyway. Will Wheaton as the early Wesley Crusher does not look like a "Doohan" but later in life could pass as a relative. The other guy though, now that you mention it does show a resemblance.
Wil Wheaton, who played Wesley Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation, recorded (digitally altered) dialog for many of the Romulans on Nero's ship.
@DennisfromDC I thought you were making a joke. Because his name is "Will Weaton", so I figured you were spelling phonetically. (Spelling it how you say it)
Now I get it....Wesley Crusher went back in time with the timetraveler and turned to the dark side, I mean the bad guys...and they got destroyed by young captain Kirk and that was the end of Wesley....so finally we know why Wesley didn't return in The Next Generation....
I may have never seen (much) of Enterprise, but I've seen just about all of the episodes of Voyager — and it is also my favorite one of the three made after the original '60s Star Trek and Star Trek: The Animated Series. :p
@Trainian Wesley was a Mary-Sue. He was Gene Roddenberry incarnate. Whole episodes revolved around him being the only one able to save Enterprise. It's a load of shit.
@Trainian That's because Jake was a normal teen who got into trouble and was properly punished. Wesley was a smarmy know-it-all who got freaking promoted when he got into trouble.
Jake (almost) never whined about anything. Wesley made a career out of whining and needed constant ego strokes.
Jake never endangered the entire crew with a science experiment. Wesley did twice a month on average.
@Dargonhuman You're arguing over fictional characters. They are written that way for a reason. The actor doesn't just say "I want to be a whiny little girl with an ego the size of Kanye West's" and that happens. No, the cast has very little to do with the actual production and direction of their character. So stop fighting over fact shit and just watch the damn shows or don't watch them, no one really cares.
@LeVictoriaLovesJosh What? That's it? "You're a child"? That's your big comeback? Was that supposed to make me cry or hurt my feelings or something? I've been called worse by my friends, so you're going to have to try harder than that, fagtard.
And you seemed pretty heated over a pointless argument that you weren't even a part of to begin with. Besides which, your first post was irrelevant as the question was about the Wesley and Jake, not Wil and Cirroc. You fail at life. Go die now.
@Dargonhuman "Fagtard", seriously? Saying "You're a child" was not intended to be an insult. The whole point behind me saying it was truth. I was just saying how you were acting, it's not an insult. You're complaining about fictional characters, which is what I said. So it's perfectly relevant. "Go die now"? The best part about this is that you honestly think you're cool, when you're arguing about fictional details, and bringing "friends" into an argument. Grow up. You're a child. :D
@LeVictoriaLovesJosh "You'll notice no one ever says anything bad about Jake Sisko, but everyone hates Wesley."
That's the comment I replied to. It was about the characters, dumbass, not the actors. It's absolutely legitimate to talk about, compare and debate fictional characters; everyone does it from college professors discussing Shakespeare to nerds arguing Star Trek to housewives gossiping over soap operas. You said the cast has little to do with their roles, which wasn't the point.
@LeVictoriaLovesJosh Your profile says you are only 20 years old.. I hate to break this to you, but you're the child if anyone is. Hell, you're barely out of your teenage years. Dargonhuman's profile is saying he's 29 by the way... heh
@tecitup I'm not a child. Yes, I'm twenty years old. The very fact that he is "twenty-nine" and calling people "fagtards" and talking about how he's complaining about fictional details is what makes him a child. Maturity and age are hardly even related. He's immature, that makes him childish.
@PaintingOfTheMind That was one of the things I hated about TNG, Capt Picard lets some kid pilot the flagship of the federation, I don't think so. Wesley was one of the most annoying charcters ever in a star trek series. TNG got so much better after he left.
If you'd watch Eureka you'd know what grown up Will Wheaton sounds like when acting these days. Some people have an ear for sounds and some don't, obviously.
@Berus7777 why are you so angry? You go off on Wheaton like he's actually looked at as some great actor and not just a nerd icon, then go into a very serious argument with someone who is just fucking with you. The kid likes to smoke some pot and troll around YouTube, relax and don't worry so much about it.
@Ghanjamon Considering there has been some crap story lines and crap acting throughout the last 40 years of Star Trek, I'm okay with an altered timeline. Especially if it means ST: Voyager never happended. :-)
@Ghanjamon I thought the new movie was pretty entertaining to watch, if a little strange. The new timeline is a good idea and as timelines in Star Trek are non linear, it fits well. I'm a fairly big fan of Star Trek and I have to admit that the ST franchise was dead in the water until this movie came out. I'm glad the franchise got a reboot. Better than it dying out!
Wil Wheaton; What a no-talent little worm. After he dissed River Phoenix in that interview I can't stand the sight of his wispy little face. He makes me sick. If you ask me, the world would have been much better off with River Phoenix than Wil Wheaton.
@Berus7777 He didn't say anything bad about River. Just that he was not surprised that he died.River was a giant doper and giant dopers fucking die if they don't get help.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@itsameray Yes, he DID say bad things about River Phoenix. He's a no-talent piece of scum, who's probably flipping burgers at McDonald's now. When he dies, no one will even know or give a shit - except lamer trekkie fanboys who had a crush on him.
@Berus7777 "Probably flipping burgers" LOL! I'm sure he finds plenty of time to flip burgers at McDonalds between writing books, appearing on TV and movies, and doing voice work for cartoons and video games, and blogging.
@ryuujin23 Seriously, Wheaton has NO talent. One look at any of his adult screen performances will tell anyone that. That's why he doesn't get decent roles, and why he is IRRELEVANT to anyone save for a few latently homosexual trekkie fanboys who have had a widdle crushy-wush on him since TNG. (And yes, I can say that, because I'm gay - NOT latently homosexual and crushing on a fourth rate, no talent has-been like Hwhil Hwheaton. He's only good for Family Guy gags at this point.
@refuckulate420 How clever. You used a reflexive sentence structure which was popular 3 years ago to demonstrate the fact that you identify with and wish to emulate those who engage in internet lingo. I'll bet you'd be the life of the party... if you had ever been invited to one.
Now, go have another "420" (oooooo! How naughty you are to use that secret number in your screen name!) and ponder this: "FAIL POT IS FAIL."
@Berus7777 : Wil's a pretty busy guy for someone with "no talent". He's doing all that ryuujin23 noted, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed The Happiest Days of Our Lives. You should read it. You can get someone to help you with the big words.
@louiswu2 Louie, Louie, Louie... You're a 51 year old man spending your time here on YouTube defending Wil(l) Wheaton against criticism. I'd say it's a bit creepy for a 51 year old man like yourself to have a crush on "Wesley Crusher", but then again, having a look at your profile pretty much confirms how creepy you are. Let me guess; YOU DRIVE A WHITE VAN! Am I right?? Am I right??
@Berus7777 : Wow. Almost every stereotype involving age in one paragraph. Impressive. If you wanna go that route, I'm sure I can come up with a few gay jokes you may not have heard. Wesley Crusher was a fictional character. Wil Wheaton is an actual person, and, by most accounts (including mine), a stand-up guy. If you think that qualifies as a crush, you may be projecting a bit. Isn't there a young gay republican meeting somewhere that you're missing?
@louiswu2 Louie, I do think you have a crush on Wil Wheaton, and I think that's why you're here at age 51, defending him when he's wrong. I came here because he insulted River Phoenix. What's your excuse? And, since you're getting nasty: Do you have a green card? If not, you probably should crawl back to whatever blighted, foul-smelling, humid little third world hell-hole your family shat you out in, shouldn't you, grease-ball. By the way, I LOVE your greasy little immigrant 'stache.
@Junkiana Junkiana, look up at what he wrote - he's a major gay-hater. Do you see how it's OK to hate on gays, but it's not ok to talk about illegal immigrants? Why is it OK to hate on gay people? Why didn't you say anything to him about hating on gay people? Do you support that?
@Berus7777 I´ll never support hate of any kind, or anyway, but tI was not aware of Mr. Wheaton opinion about gay, or anything...but I know your opinion about inigrant and third world. Hate is like a viral disease, once in and can spread and infect minds. I´m not a huge fan of Will Wheaton, your comment call my attention. I can´t avoid answer comments moved by prejudice and hate. That´s all. Best regards.
@Berus7777 : You know how surfing the web works. I stumbled upon your painfully obvious bitterness and ignorance, and could not let it pass. Not that it matters, but my family has been in this country for a number of generations and my lineage contains within it a multi-cultural heritage (Feel free to use the term "mongrel". I take it as a compliment.). Why do I get the feeling that there exists somewhere on your person a photo-realistic tattoo of Adolf Hitler? Oh, and chicks dig the 'stache
@louiswu2 Louie... I showed your photo to two female friends. They agreed: It's an "immigrant 'stache", and it makes you look like a greaseball. As for Hitler, I'm more liberal than you, and live in San Francisco. In this discussion, you have set up one straw man after another to knock down. Didn't anyone ever teach you how to debate? You're not coming out of this ahead -- you don't have the arsenal.
@Berus7777 : You realize of course that the "picture" is actually a drawing, and an approximation of what I look like. I live and work in Tucson, just down the street from the UofA. I've yet to receive an "eww, creepy old guy" response from the young ladies I come in contact with daily. Because I conduct myself as a gentleman. Try it. I bet people of both genders would be impressed. As far as being more liberal, the term liberal racist is an oxymoron (look it up).
@louiswu2 Louie, I've been thinking... I get to Tucson twice a year to visit a couple of friends who bought a home there (and now regret the decision - but that's of no relevance.) How's about you and I meet to discuss our thoughts in person? I'd love to provide you with an opportunity to reconcile your projections of me (tattooed, etc.) with the genuine article. Reality is often the best educator. I feel you would find the encounter both surprising and enlightening... What say ye?
@Berus7777 : Indeed. I think you might be equally surprised. Though given my state's ignorant immigration policies, you might feel more at home in Phoenix. Joe Arpaio would just love you. We south of the Gila River would just as soon be our own state.
@Ghanjamon I never said I didn't understand the use of a timeline change. What I said was, their history is not your history you retarded twat. It shouldn't hurt your feelings for them to make up new stories. Why do you care? Any writer can write anything fictionally. It's one thing to say you didn't like the movie, fine, but don't say it wasted forty years of content when a) the original stories already exist unchanged and b) what's to stop somebody from making more TOS stories later? FICTION!
@Lizfan2 He did voice acting. Read the blog linked in the info. He did voices for all the Romulans on Nero's ship and his voice was digitally altered in all but one part.
@Ghanjamon How does it waste your time? Were you not still entertained by the content created? How the fuck does this hurt your feelings, it's not real history you bunch of whack jobs. Love it for the art, not the girlfriendless hole it served to fill in your life, christ, it's pathetic lol
@Ghanjamon No no, what they're saying is that THIS timeline doesn't matter. This is the 'altered timeline' the other timeline is the 'prime timeline'.
@Lizfan2 If you knew how to read, you'd see that he voices all of the Romulans in the film. Most were manipulated in some way to make him sound different but the clip above is one that Wheaton himself claims is his own, unchanged voice. I don't see how you're even arguing this, lol. Fucking tool, click the link or google it.
Manages to be the worst Star Trek film of them all, which is some achievement!

Wil Wheaton; What a no-talent little worm. After he dissed River Phoenix in that interview I can't stand the sight of his wispy little face. He makes me sick. If you ask me, the world would have been much better off with River Phoenix than Wil Wheaton.
Berus7777 7 months ago
@Berus7777 He didn't say anything bad about River. Just that he was not surprised that he died.River was a giant doper and giant dopers fucking die if they don't get help.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
@itsameray Yes, he DID say bad things about River Phoenix. He's a no-talent piece of scum, who's probably flipping burgers at McDonald's now. When he dies, no one will even know or give a shit - except lamer trekkie fanboys who had a crush on him.
Berus7777 7 months ago
@Berus7777 "Probably flipping burgers" LOL! I'm sure he finds plenty of time to flip burgers at McDonalds between writing books, appearing on TV and movies, and doing voice work for cartoons and video games, and blogging.
ryuujin23 7 months ago
@ryuujin23 Seriously, Wheaton has NO talent. One look at any of his adult screen performances will tell anyone that. That's why he doesn't get decent roles, and why he is IRRELEVANT to anyone save for a few latently homosexual trekkie fanboys who have had a widdle crushy-wush on him since TNG. (And yes, I can say that, because I'm gay - NOT latently homosexual and crushing on a fourth rate, no talent has-been like Hwhil Hwheaton. He's only good for Family Guy gags at this point.
Berus7777 7 months ago
@Berus7777 Say Will Wheaton sucks at acting, then imply Family Guy is funny. Nice going, bro.

Berus7777 6 months ago
@Berus7777
Hahaha, thanks for the laugh man. Idiots like you are all over the net. So easy.
refuckulate420 6 months ago
@refuckulate420 Damn... you're so stupid, you don't even know when you've been owned. You got it right when you said "so easy".

@Berus7777 : Wil's a pretty busy guy for someone with "no talent". He's doing all that ryuujin23 noted, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed The Happiest Days of Our Lives. You should read it. You can get someone to help you with the big words.
louiswu2 6 months ago
@louiswu2 Louie, Louie, Louie... You're a 51 year old man spending your time here on YouTube defending Wil(l) Wheaton against criticism. I'd say it's a bit creepy for a 51 year old man like yourself to have a crush on "Wesley Crusher", but then again, having a look at your profile pretty much confirms how creepy you are. Let me guess; YOU DRIVE A WHITE VAN! Am I right?? Am I right??
Berus7777 6 months ago
@Berus7777 : Wow. Almost every stereotype involving age in one paragraph. Impressive. If you wanna go that route, I'm sure I can come up with a few gay jokes you may not have heard. Wesley Crusher was a fictional character. Wil Wheaton is an actual person, and, by most accounts (including mine), a stand-up guy. If you think that qualifies as a crush, you may be projecting a bit. Isn't there a young gay republican meeting somewhere that you're missing?
louiswu2 6 months ago
@louiswu2 Louie, I do think you have a crush on Wil Wheaton, and I think that's why you're here at age 51, defending him when he's wrong. I came here because he insulted River Phoenix. What's your excuse? And, since you're getting nasty: Do you have a green card? If not, you probably should crawl back to whatever blighted, foul-smelling, humid little third world hell-hole your family shat you out in, shouldn't you, grease-ball. By the way, I LOVE your greasy little immigrant 'stache.
Berus7777 6 months ago
@Berus7777 Hey, calm down Adolf, he is not aryan, but nobody is perfect right? Your uncle, Dr. Mengele sent his love!
Junkiana 6 months ago
@Junkiana Junkiana, look up at what he wrote - he's a major gay-hater. Do you see how it's OK to hate on gays, but it's not ok to talk about illegal immigrants? Why is it OK to hate on gay people? Why didn't you say anything to him about hating on gay people? Do you support that?
Berus7777 6 months ago
@Berus7777 I´ll never support hate of any kind, or anyway, but tI was not aware of Mr. Wheaton opinion about gay, or anything...but I know your opinion about inigrant and third world. Hate is like a viral disease, once in and can spread and infect minds. I´m not a huge fan of Will Wheaton, your comment call my attention. I can´t avoid answer comments moved by prejudice and hate. That´s all. Best regards.
Junkiana 6 months ago
@Berus7777 : You know how surfing the web works. I stumbled upon your painfully obvious bitterness and ignorance, and could not let it pass. Not that it matters, but my family has been in this country for a number of generations and my lineage contains within it a multi-cultural heritage (Feel free to use the term "mongrel". I take it as a compliment.). Why do I get the feeling that there exists somewhere on your person a photo-realistic tattoo of Adolf Hitler? Oh, and chicks dig the 'stache
louiswu2 6 months ago
@louiswu2 Louie... I showed your photo to two female friends. They agreed: It's an "immigrant 'stache", and it makes you look like a greaseball. As for Hitler, I'm more liberal than you, and live in San Francisco. In this discussion, you have set up one straw man after another to knock down. Didn't anyone ever teach you how to debate? You're not coming out of this ahead -- you don't have the arsenal.
Berus7777 6 months ago
@Berus7777 : You realize of course that the "picture" is actually a drawing, and an approximation of what I look like. I live and work in Tucson, just down the street from the UofA. I've yet to receive an "eww, creepy old guy" response from the young ladies I come in contact with daily. Because I conduct myself as a gentleman. Try it. I bet people of both genders would be impressed. As far as being more liberal, the term liberal racist is an oxymoron (look it up).
louiswu2 6 months ago
@louiswu2 Louie, I've been thinking... I get to Tucson twice a year to visit a couple of friends who bought a home there (and now regret the decision - but that's of no relevance.) How's about you and I meet to discuss our thoughts in person? I'd love to provide you with an opportunity to reconcile your projections of me (tattooed, etc.) with the genuine article. Reality is often the best educator. I feel you would find the encounter both surprising and enlightening... What say ye?
Berus7777 6 months ago
@Berus7777 : Indeed. I think you might be equally surprised. Though given my state's ignorant immigration policies, you might feel more at home in Phoenix. Joe Arpaio would just love you. We south of the Gila River would just as soon be our own state.
louiswu2 6 months ago
See? One hardly needs an arsenal.
louiswu2 6 months ago
@louiswu2 What you need are documentation papers and a green card... or a ticket back to the village.

Eric Bana certainly chews a lot of the scenery in the new star trek movie.
pixargod 7 months ago
One problem about this movie: star fleet is to advanced for this time period.
SpartanPrimus 8 months ago
@SpartanPrimus due to technology from the future being discovered by the starfleet of the past, which results in an alternate timeline being formed.
KitusPariah 7 months ago
@Ghanjamon I never said I didn't understand the use of a timeline change. What I said was, their history is not your history you retarded twat. It shouldn't hurt your feelings for them to make up new stories. Why do you care? Any writer can write anything fictionally. It's one thing to say you didn't like the movie, fine, but don't say it wasted forty years of content when a) the original stories already exist unchanged and b) what's to stop somebody from making more TOS stories later? FICTION!
AFKslashSLITTING 8 months ago
@Ghanjamon Great storyline? I hope you're being sarcastic.
Lizfan2 8 months ago
@Lizfan2 He did voice acting. Read the blog linked in the info. He did voices for all the Romulans on Nero's ship and his voice was digitally altered in all but one part.
msbyrdoneill 8 months ago
@msbyrdoneill Oh ok. That would explain why I didn't recognize his voice lol.
Lizfan2 8 months ago
@Ghanjamon How does it waste your time? Were you not still entertained by the content created? How the fuck does this hurt your feelings, it's not real history you bunch of whack jobs. Love it for the art, not the girlfriendless hole it served to fill in your life, christ, it's pathetic lol

"Sir, I don't know much about these scans, but if you ignite the red matter..." "SHUT UP, WESLEY!"
GLue02 8 months ago
@Ghanjamon No no, what they're saying is that THIS timeline doesn't matter. This is the 'altered timeline' the other timeline is the 'prime timeline'.
Pilkingtube 8 months ago
Did anyone find the voice over of the "to bold go where..." speech irrelevant because star trek 2009 was really a star wars movie.
Listen to the sound of spocks red matter ship. Sounds just like a star wars (episodes 1,2 or 3) ship.
But with all that said, there are a lot of good things about the new star trek. There is the chance it will improve with the sequels.

AFKslashSLITTING 8 months ago
@AFKslashSLITTING Ok moron then which character is he? Because he's not that character.
Lizfan2 8 months ago
@Lizfan2 If you knew how to read, you'd see that he voices all of the Romulans in the film. Most were manipulated in some way to make him sound different but the clip above is one that Wheaton himself claims is his own, unchanged voice. I don't see how you're even arguing this, lol. Fucking tool, click the link or google it.
