That's a beautiful shape. The icosahedron/dodecahedron form is one of the most pleasing symmetrical forms in existence. That's an easier way you have come up with to create a stellated/pointed icosahedron than Szaki's version, I built his one a while ago and it was quite tricky and frustrating to complete.

I guess a standard box is 6x6x6=216 balls.

That would mean 1072 balls in total.

Anyway Necube comes with 8 spare balls, that brings the total to 1096.

I'm not sure nanodots do the same.
