What a difficult vocal line to follow -- those odd modulations! He handles it all so beautifully, with perfectly consistent color through the arpeggiated passages. moving up to gorgeous, supported high notes. Yikes, so hard to do. And the drama of the middle section of the piece. Lips forward, to shoot that sound out, even in the lower range. In the words of Rachel Zoe, "I die."

Brilliant! The incomparable Luciano! I love his enthusiam for the dance here and the way he evokes the spirit of it by the swaying of the shouklers and gesticulations indicating the swirling movement of those taking part. A great interpretation which fires the imagination and allows us to join in the fun of the dance.

I'm sitting at the computer with a terribly messed up shoulder, still in pain after surgery 7weeks ago. But listening to this spirited singing by the GREAT LUCIANO has soothed my pain. He was more than one of the great tenors of all time. He was a unique human being, with a zest for life that shines through in everything he ever sang on stage or said in interviews. I miss him very much. Thank God he lives on in You Tube clips like this gem, and bravo anche il pianista!

lol jeez you're mean. It wouldn't be as bad if you were correct. This is one aria in a recital- one recital that was recorded in one day (and most likely in one afternoon). I highly doubt that they had time for multiple takes.

Additionally, are you trying to deny that he slipped at 6:09?! Pavarotti is the best, and he is and always will be sorely missed, but he was not infallible.

Dopo aver sentito quest'altra prodezza del mitico Big Luciano posso dire che nessuno ascolterà mai più una voce così splendida, brillante, adatta a poter cantare tutto come la sua. Nessuno si è mai avvicinato alle doti e potenzialità di Pavarotti, perchè lui ha osato fare quello che altri non hanno fatto: poter cantare qualsiasi cosa che va oltre i limiti umani :) UNA LEGGENDA!
