Beware with LG plasmas: some of the panels suffer from floating blacks (look at the videos in my profile to see how bad they are) and LG, while admitting that their plasmas do it, they don't acknowledge it as a problem.

@prudetube HDTVs contain an HD tuner allowing you to receive high definition, for example from your house antenna's over the air signal reception (if you live in an HD area)
HD READY TVs contain everything necessary to display high definition except that HD tuner. To get HD you would need something like a Sky+ HD box or HD cable
I have the LG PS7000 50", and i absolutly love mine. It has got the same features as this one except for the THX audio. So my recomendation is go for the PS7000 and save yourself a buck.
go for a smaller tv for ps3 or xbox because when playing a mutiplayer game such as cod6 its to hard to look around and firn guys on a 50-60 inch tv i would suggest a 32-42 inch tv. :)
@asicveg I have the LG PS7000 50" wich is exactly the same as this one except for the THX audio. And i love gaming on it with my PS3 and 360. No problems what so ever and no blurr either. I recommend it.
My PS8000 has no HD freeview just SD freeview.
