that gold now going to india is gona do the same thing it was doing in the imf vault. just sit there so i dont see how that could drive up gold , something else is at play
Corporate greed welfare bailouts to the ravenous beasts: pharmacueticals, military, banksters, hedgefunds, the pocket lining politicians with everyone sending money to off shore accounts and let's add a tasty dose of off-shoring jobs.
when the house of cards comes crashing down i dont think your gold and silver holdings are going to do you any good. what i sgoing on right now is a little larger than that.
I strongly suggest you check out Alex Collier's talk at the Awake and Aware Conference by Project Camelot. It really goes as deep as you can get down the rabbit hole and requires an open mind, but makes a lot of sense. Also really nails stuff on the head about the United States and humanities place in the universe. Take what you want from it, but truth will resonate with you regardless. Give it a chance at least. !0 parts on youtube.
i think there will be hope now virgina and new jersey has shot across the bow of the mack daddy[obama], but most dont understand the peril we are in. the question is how we will get out of this and how we will do it.
Retail sales are so good that K Mart in Prescott AZ is having it's final going out of business discounts and closing the doors sales , Only a few days left till the doors are locked for good .
I bought a new pair of Wrangler cargo jeans for $7.99 + tax
Many other retail stores are hanging on by a thread
Ron Paul has an article in the latest "Forbes Magazine" predicting another Great Depression. Finally, people are listening to Ron Paul. He has a forum. Better late than never.
I'm not sure I want to know all about Fat LIbertarian...ha.
Funny how they expect us to buy a bunch of crap this holiday season after they cut our income and keep laying scores of people off. Here in CA they upped the state withholding by 10% on Nov. 1st. In my county, sales tax was raised from 8.75% to 9%. They also withheld our cost of living increase this year and our health insurance premiums went up by 9%. I also take 1 furlough day a month. Many have 2 and 3 day a month furloughs. Sure sounds like a great recipe for retail sales growth to me!
We Must remeber, that most banks across the globe work with each other, developing policies that benefits the banking structure as a whole. So the bank of India, or any other bank for that matter, buying half of IMF's gold shouldn't suprise us. Now lets see who steps up to the plate next. Peace
It's okay Charlie, the U.P. (upper pennisula) people (affectionately referred to as "you-pers" wanted to be a separate state at one time named "Superior". So, if they are giving you flack, now you know why -- they have a superiority complex : ) LOL
Relative to gold, it will be a hedge that will always be trade-able or at least consumable.
Not just rice and beans either, salt spice and oil or a diverse collection of necessities.
I feel food will rise quicker than gold during an economic collapse. It certainly will be in more demand. I expect hyper inflation on all commodities as the dollar fails.
Good plan! I do not disagree with you. I am only emphasizing the time function of money. perhaps you can use food as money. however you need to find someone who wants the same type of food at the same exact time that you have that food to give. With gold, the person you exchange with does not necessarily need to want food at a particular point in time. maybe they want to use the gold as a medium of exchange for other goods. Ultimately though I think we agree more than disagree.
certainly that's the reason for currency to begin with, as an exchange medium.
You won't need it as much if you already have what you'd be exchanging for (more often than not). Also if they confiscate gold as they did in the 30's? Or there is anarchy or lawlessness?
You can hold offshore, but even that's no guarantee.
My hedge is for what I know I can use to get through this. I really think it's going to get bad.
I forsee the media reporting some more 'wasn't as bad as anylists anticipated' diatribe and the dow magically shoots up 175 points for the day...it will be interesting to see how they side step the shopping season numbers when the malls become bankrupt...
I'm going to invest 5K with one of Peter Schiff's newish funds --- ephex. Mostly invested in China. Wish me luck! Better than U.S. stocks me thinks! I feel guilty not investing in the U.S. or believing in the dollar. Sort of feels like every man/woman for themselves these days.
I would suggest you investigate more before you invest in China. Perhaps read what Mish Shedlock and others have to say on the subject. China has a lot of internal problems which will certainly get worse as our economy worsens. I don't blame you for shying away from US stocks, but foreign stocks may not do a lot better. Personally, I'd feel safer in gold & silver than foreign stocks.
I just do. But this is NOT the America I was raised in. In my family, we'd rather eat grass than ask for help. I worked my way through life honestly and paid for. Now there is so much greed and apathy and manipulation. I want to move to a state that succeeds from the union. I'll work hard at whatever industry they have. I've been thinking about this a lot tonight. I want our country back!
Funny you mention moving to the state that succeeds, I had that same thought last night while mulling over some blogs I was reading. I think if a state was to do that many would pack up and move real fast.
Yup, they'll try their damnedest to maintain some veneer of normalcy or recovery...all the while anyone who's paying attention knows the real story. You can be sure that anyone doing any sort of research on the markets knows what the hell is going on. It's all a big shell game -with the public placing bets on the wrong shell. What's worse is that the pea was never on the table to begin with. It was only an enticement to tempt the poor suckers into the game.
I wish I could get my significant other to realize that purchasing stuff for Christmas is one big fat waste...but then to him I would be the Grinch who stole Christmas. If it were entirely up to me..I would only purchase gold and silver with any extra money at my disposal..as it stands now..I still have to fight with my guy about buying it
we have decided to do 100 dollar xmas this year....and gifts outside the home are baked goods and crafts...we have also decided no Walmart and no shopping malls.
I am NOT allowed to shop at Walmart. Hubby throws a fit. So, I don't. We're keeping Christmas simple this year as well, but then, we always tend to do that. My girls (ages 5 and 6) each get three gifts (representing the gifts of the Magi) and one gift they have to share to use (like a board game). We don't do Santa Claus. We don't believe in video or computer games, so no Nintendos or other expensive gadgets. Yes, my kids are deprived! LOL
Don't second guess yourself, I think you are right. They will paint a pretty picture of the unemployment rate. I also think that there are alot of small businesses that are just holding on till after the Christmas season to shut the doors on their money making operations.
I think we should be buying gold (U.S.) It's ridiculous tht we print all this money and waste it on nonsense; if we're gonna print, then why not buy gold and shore up what's left of the dollar? Looks like everybody's gonna be on the gold standard but us!
Should be interesting... with the dow lately it just seems to scream PPT all over it. It just doesnt make sense how the market is not diving right now. there is NO REASON for the markets to look like they look. t should be in the 6000's if reality was in play here.
i suggest buying pvc pipe and caps..you can use them as burial vaults for valuables if confiscation begins.. ..even guns and amo...just make sure you coat weapons with a light coat of grease and wrap in oily rags.,,,

Maybe it is coming in 2012 for sure. The internet is now full of stories on NIBIRU.

seems to me a central bank buying a shit ton of gold would inherently make the price go up since there would be less gold out on the market.
maybe theyre hoping to lower unemployment by increasing federal employment IE army navy air force etc.

Beyond gold and silver I'm placing a small bet on seeds and canning jars. Seeds are portable like gold but produce good.
If you own a house, consider planting fruit and nut trees. They may take a couple years to mature though.

I have the same feeling that they will say unemployment will be 9.8%.
The people in the markets seem to know the numbers are fake...they just don't care. They will make money on good news, bad news, whatever.
They are riding this till they get bucked off. Then they will go short and ride it down.
