Kind of close, but no cigar. I'm sorry but she doesn't have the depth & power of Streisand & that fantastic vibrato that Barbra has. Also Barbra is an actress & is able to pack raw power & emotion into it like no other. She's good, but she's simply not on that level. A Streisand may come along once every 100 yrs. I mean c'mon, Barbra & Judy were the two greatest female vocalists of the 20th century. Sorry, but she just ain't THAT good.

Barbra is flawless, and while some prefer her covers they still don't have to bring Lea down, some people get really personal about these things too. There's a difference between being critical/constructive and just being downright insulting :/

I really like Lea and I think she's talented. But this version is too close to the Barbra version from the movie. She'd be brilliant if she sang it in her own unique way, not Barbra's. Even Barbra sang it differently live. Barbra is special because she turned classics into her own. Lea has the voice, she shouldn't have to copy Barbra's style. especially with Broadway barely staying alive nowadays, what is most important for a show is that it will survive....and with her Glee success, she is the smart and (really...) only option to play Fanny Brice in the upcoming revival.
