why does the very beginning at :03 with the wide shot of the taun taun look like its legs are blurred out?

Is that something that could not be restored or is it supposed to look that way? Because it looks very weird that to have such high contrast in the middle of the frame and a murky haze at the bottom.

@Knightmessenger It's supposed to be haze from the snowstorm, but i've never liked it. The problem is that there isn't any way to fix this

@SpiderBoy992 I get that, what I'm saying is that I think the 2004 transfer created uneven contrast in that shot that is not faithful to how it was originally shot.
