  • You are right....The pandorica opens, blink, the empty child, the satan pit, lets kill hitler, the girl who waited, the doctors wife etc ALL pale into insignificance compared to the majesty of the twin dilema, time and the rani, battefield, attack of the cyberman.............Finally i think i have met my first bona fide internet nutter!"!And most of the problems in the 80s dealt more with script editing than anything"...That statement alone is beyond insanity

  • Not a bad video but the music is too loud and given my speakers are calibrated mid-level, I think the volume you encoded with is way too high.

  • thats a common misconception"it was picking up".How on earth couldnt it? could anything be worse than time and the rani or paradise towers?.At the time dr who was probably the worst thing on the TV ...So if you think mccoy is"amazing" then what superlatives must you use for eccleston or smith?? The show now bears no resemblance at all to those dark dark (or rather bright bright horribly lit days!)mccoy? nice guy.very very average actor.

  • @jonylawson73 Im a massive fan and I think that period of time that McCoy took over was starting to pick up again. Colin Baker did have negitive feedback but once you take away his techno colour dream coat and the script's he was amazing. Just the scripts that let him down, which lead to the shows downfall. Everyone can agree with me Silvester was possibley one of the best doctors ever. Episodes such like, Remeberance, Battlefield silver nemisis survival ect. He was amazing. its not the darkdays

  • @jonylawson73 - In the latter days, there was imperfection. But, as a fan of Colin and Sylvester, people, especially today, rely more on peer pressure than taking a chance by watching the episodes and looking for the pros and cons for themselves. And most of the problems in the 80s dealt more with script editing than anything... but there is more substance to 80s WHO than most of what is made today, which is just image, saccharine, and mawkishness that would make Helen A proud. ;)

  • Brilliant this episode would fit perfectly into McCoys era!

  • The Professor was always my Doctor... LONG LIVE TO SYLVESTER MCCOY

  • I wonder;

that's weird because he's done better than Matt (sorry if he is around here but anyways..)

  • i love the 7th doctor but you can tell it sounds different to matt smith oh and happy bday matt

  • @TheSandy1078 Surely nothing's wrong with it sounding different? It would be dull if it sounded the same!

  • 7th doctor is good one of my favourite doctors but since it's his first time reading the script I say he done not bad but if he learnt it then he would slightly emphasise the words a bit better but fair play to him.

  • this was amazing

  • tom baker next please :D

  • I've never seen a Seventh Doctor episode, but he sounds amazing!

  • @NevillesGran1 YOU SHOULD! he is an amazing doctor, and personally one of my favourates. May i suggest you to watch "Remeberance of the daleks"

  • @WhovianWars HE NEEDS TO WATCH REMEMBRANCE!!!! McCoy is one of my favorite Doctors ever!

  • @WhovianWars I was inspired, and I'm waiting to watch Remembrance with a friend, but I watched Curse of Fenric, and it was BRILLIANT!

Also thanks to johnhamilton08 and Gazz1982 for telling me the same thing :)

  • @NevillesGran1 "Curse of Fenric" is a cracker of an episode. If you want like a short list of 7th Doctor episodes to watch just ask.

  • @NevillesGran1 you should. Remembrance of the Daleks or Curse of Fenric are 2 I highly recommend.... but if you start with his first season it's a bit shaky due to poor scripts. his second and third season are a lot better

  • @NevillesGran1 His final season is amazing!

  • @NevillesGran1 all the are amazing ^^

  • HOLY COW!!! I want you back so badly Sylvester! And oh boy, the rolling 'r's in 'Pandorica' just completely blew my fandom heart apart.

  • Imagine if Tom Baker read this! Sylvester has still got it!

  • @CYBERDOODY That would be awesome!

  • @PotatoUPrincess Mind you the 4th Doctor would probably tell them all to go away! :D

  • i think this needs to become sa challenge for every convention i.e. HOW MANY DOCTORS CAN WE GET TO READ THIS!!! :D

    imagine tom baker..... :O

  • good but it only really works with matt smith

  • The Pandorica Opens seems more like a 7th Doctor story now...

  • if this was a seventh doctor who story it would have been a lot weirder and a lot more enigmatic no speeches only the seventh doctor outwitting everyone with his devious cunning.

  • @doctorw2 He did have a couple of speeches - not many, but a few. Mostly, of course, they were a distraction or a feint of some description - part of a plan rather than the improvisation that the eleventh doctor generally goes with.

  • Good Work

  • Where can I get the original audio file of the speech from? I am dying to hear it in full.

  • Great idea, but the music needs to be more in the background so we can actually hear McCoy!

  • No matter what Doctor says this speech, it STILL rocks!

(God, I hope McCoy can be convinced to return to the show for a Multi-Doctor story at some point...)

  • @MarcusSLazarus Oh god, please let that happen soon. The Seventh and Eleventh Doctors together would be awesome.

  • The music was way too loud. Way too loud.

  • Fantastic job. Hope you didn't mind me posting the link on the "Sylvester McCoy Appreciation Society". :)

  • @frankiewilliams Thank you, and, Ofcourse not, I dont mind

  • Haha cool! Why not try another version with Keff McCullogh music? :)

  • I am very much okay with this.

  • for some reason im listening to this and thinking of "blackadder" xD

  • Gave me goosebumps!! Amazing xD

  • had to listen again , its soo awesome ,

  • @BlastEmeralds It does suit the music lol

  • Wow He Says it really good its qutie Epic :D

  • Nicely done. though the music could have been toned down a bit.

  • @pandaphil If I did that then Sylvester would have been to loud for the music, I had to try and get it equil.

  • @WhovianWars Its all good then man. Thanks for the clip.

  • @WhovianWars its better to have the dialouge to be louder than the music than visa versa, but its still really good work.
