  • Don voice is so damn smooth! It was like he was really saying, "I am gonna hit dat azz"!

  • Don IS Funk!! The smoothest negro with class.... RIP

  • Don Cornelius was so cool, his passing is going to accelerate global warming.

  • Don Cornelius

I remember back in the day when I learned how to dance along with Soul Train.

I still see you hosting Soul Train when I dance.

    Love You Always.

  • As they say, death comes in threes. In the past month, we've seen Etta James, Don, and now Whitney Houston. Similar to the Michael Jackson-Farrah Fawcett-Ed McMahon in 2009. RIP to all and may eternal life with God prevail in the fullest of love.

  • Black people showing the World how it is done! LOL

  • @2323bw Black people showing how to shake yo booty. Want something of VALUE done? get a white person.

  • Some of the white people on here who are posting racist and crazy remarks are the main ones who tuned in on Saturdays to see this Big Dark Handsome Sexy Black Man and his show . They were the main ones TRYING TO DANCE to black music back then. Such Hypocrites.

  • Damn! Don was Sexiest as Hell back then. His deep voice was Awesome and the epitome of Masculinity!

  • Every articles i've read so far talks about how he brought whites and blacks together and then it dawn on me. I guess non-white\black minorities aren't human beings, don't listen to music nor dance!

It is always sad when someone dies but i think his legacy will continue because people love to dance and dancing brings people together.I'm sure the new generation of young people will continue to follow in his foot-steps. next ,maybe will be called "Seoul Train" ; )

  • If anyone has the "Bounce" channel on their cable, it's running a Soul Train marathon all night 02/05/2012 in memory of Mr. Cornelius.

  • I heard the news about Don Cornelius, and I broke down and cried. I had just seen a compilation of clippings. He was professional, courteous, Black, proud, opportuned, role model, who had died. Even worse, he died so tragically. He built a dynasty which opened doors, introduced 'soul music' and black dancing to the world. He opened doors. instilled pride, and appreciated the performances of the artists as they contributed to history.
