Apparently it's been re-released as part of a collection fairly recently, so it's not yet freeware. If you've already bought it once, however, you've already paid the royalties. You should be ok to just download it.

KQ7 on the collection sucks. I would strongly recommend against it, especially if you have the original CD. It's much better to get the CD working in DOSBox than trying anything with the collection.

Are the King's Quest games better than the Space Quest games? I really hated the Space Quest Collection and was wondering if the King's Quest Collection would be any better.

I can understand it being hard. I remember many parts being impossible without either the hint book or the manual when I first played the games. (rub berries on self in SQ2)

About three minutes. Which is plain ridiculous, because you only need to make 1-3 clicks per screen.

I wasn't sure whether I should include it or not, but there's two reasons I didn't. One, I don't think it really fits since it doesn't have a Yes/No screen, and the video of Rosella flying away at the end wouldn't really seem to fit the other clips. Two, you can just watch it here:
