If you look at the exercise it really looks like a 1 way ticket to snap city if you use too much weight. because you not using any muscle you using mostly you joints.

@LuPe8240 Yes it does look a lot like a dumbbell squat, in my experience (since I practice at home,and only have dumbbells) the difference between the two exercises is: For DB squats the weights should be more to the side, and your back should not be leaning forward as much - for DB deadlift the weights go as in this video - more forward and to the side, and back leans a bit more forward, too. Try doing these and you'll feel clear difference in your lower and middle back for sure.
Im 5'10, and weigh around 140. Im skinny. How do I bulk up a little, not too much and get some muscle in there. I don't want to put fat on over it, I'd rather stay skinny.

@stinkbra applies less stress on the spine? if you have a fucked up back you shouldn't even think about deadlifting... especially with dumbbells, in this case very heavy dumbbells, cause we all know light weights can't build you a muscular back ;)
oh and the standard deadlift is the king of fuckin.. king.. foundation movement.. compound you know.. :)
@ScottHermanFitness actually Scott, you did the exercise wrong. i've never seen a deadlift performed like this, and there isn't a single athletic trainer that would ever recommend this lift. All you did was simply simulated a barbell deadlift without a barbell, which is a lift that isn't recommended to anyone. The only way to deadlift is with a hex bar of trap bar. So, when you dead lift with dumbbells you should perform single leg suit case deadlifts. far superior exercise

You always put all exercises but never a routine....and if you wanna "help" explain what a workout routine should look like and contain...example on chest day...explain how many exercises u should do for upper and middle chest...bcause I saw ur chest vid and it random... u do 2 ex for upper and 1 for middle...thts unbalance...put your game up son...
