Are you sure it is really your harddrive? I might be able to tell you more if you can describe your problem in detail.

Apart from a few minor problems, your recordings sound just fine to me.

well, i'm pretty sure. I've run diagnostics in the BIOS and off my windows vista backup on the other hard drive. I could try plugging the SATA cable into another port on the motherboard to see if that changes anything.

I'm still not sure what your symptoms are. You can download HD Tune and run a long error scan or get smartmontools and run an extended SMART test. Extended tests can take hours to finish if you have a TB sized drive but those are the sure fire way to diagnose your HDD.

Don't get an SSD. There are millions of copy of win7 out there running just fine on HDD's.

It's very rare for HDD's to be 2 for 2 bad unless you have a seagate 7200.11 or ES.2. Those are notorious for their bad firmware.

You do valuable videos for people who want to grow and develop themselves! So, the number of 50000 is a lot more worth, because people who are interested in learning something new and - at the beginning at least - difficult things are harder to get :)
