Hemi's have a hemi-spherical shaped combustion chamber, but the dome shape is cutout of the cylinder head rather than the piston. The spark plug is directly in the centre of the hemisphere with the intake/exhaust valves 180 degrees on either side of the plug. Hemi's also have a higher compression ratio than the 440 magnums.

440 Mags use a wedge shaped combustion chamber and have the spark plugs entering from the side of the chamber rather than from the top.

the charger was made for old time nascar in the 50's. dodge was winning every race but the dodge chargers were not selling. so they changed the looks and made the 69 charger. learn your facts. it is ment for going around the nascar track so it was made for corners. people made it a drag car because of its large hood space.

Actually the Charger came out in 1966. In 1968 it was restyled.

The cars were very different in race form. The car was not made for corners new to be used in NASCAR. It handled good for its time, but its not made to corner. It has no extra hood space compared to other Dodge and Plymouth B bodies. So you need to learn your facts as well.

Cornering cars were Camaro Z28s, Mustang Boss 302s, Challenger T/As, and AAR 'Cudas.
