  • "The Wild Angels" and "The Glory Stompers" are on Netflix streaming. I watched both last night, and honestly, they're not very memorable films. The plots of both movies are pretty meandering, and really don't offer up much in the way of character development and plot resolution, which is what made "Easy Rider" so great. They're both cool to watch for Fonda's and Hopper's sake, but that's about it.

  • FML

  • pdt 113 I could hardly call that film low budget... cinematography is awesome, sound is great, movie is epic! You apparently have never viewed of films a that time.

  • Great bike movie - depicting bikers' freedom in the USA, love it, but hate

    they were killed in it.

R.I.P. Dennis Hopper - you helped change America! Thanks for posting this, it's

    great!

  • All of my 70's acid posters are all gone, thank you mothers for noting let your sons be stupid and learn.

  • I wasn't crying when Dennis Hopper died recently. I said 'Good ridence' because I lost repect for him after I saw this movie. Other than "Petulia" I think "Easy Rider" is the one film that I saw from the late 60's that absolutely pissed me off-because I didn't know what the hell both movies were all about (in terms of message). I also lost respect for Peter Fonda too and if I had to sum up his film career he was a "never was" considering that he couldn't follow his father.

  • @EricandDish wooahhhh if you didn't understand easy rider your an idiot....you really don't know much of what your saying

  • @EricandDish ur a sheep shaging interbred freak baahhrrr baahhhrrr

  • @EricandDish Maybe you and could not walk in their shoes, most of us could not walk in dads shoes, these guys are awesome.

  • Thanks!

  • I hear they were actually frying in this movie

  • RIP DENNIS

  • RIP Hopper, one of the true movie greats.

  • Dennis was right. even in our time the 60's is avoided by hollywoods sit com industry. they make the silly "70's Show", but ignore the whole decade of the 60's!! i dont wanna see some dumb 70's show, i wanna see a cool hip 60's show!!

  • Karen Black kicks ass up to appetite. The sum of her parts/ voice/eyes are sexy as hell.If you kinda analyze what she says, she's hilarious.Seems more a skewed sense of humor than garden variety tin-foil helmet insanity.Check her out on "Decoupage TV on Youtube.

  • Karen Black....forever sexy as hell.

  • The thing I don't understand is that Karen Black said she was ashamed of starring in the movie, but yet in 1972 she was in that LOUSY film "Portnoy's Complaint."

  • karen black=whack job

  • My god..Annette Funicello!!

  • I live close to where most of the movie was filmed in New Mexico, and some places--like Madrid--still have that old '60's hippy feel to them. Bikers are still driving the Turquoise Trail.

  • its 2 dangerous because of killers and idiots to do these now.

  • wheres the movie at?. guess no one posted it. wtf.

  • "We blew it man."

  • tell me Jack doesn't look like a porn star, 4:35

  • A jerk?!

You embarrass me and you embarrass yourselves..

Due to fact he does not fill every empty space with words? Due to fact he is an introvert, thoughtful, tactful, and self-assured, withdrawn?

Peter Fonda is THE original, THE genuine one. We are in many ways resting on his shoulders.

Charlatans who feign rebellion, promote independent thought, etc...in many ways we are all resting on HIS shoulders.

    Read a book..amazing..ignorance.

Fickle f@#king Americans..you are worse than the French!

  • ...they never mentioned the builder of the iconic bikes-brother ben hardy, vaughs both black guys...not trying to bring race into it...however its only right that they get recognition. ride on!

  • whats the song playing in the begining please?

  • my favorite movie man. hands down man

  • Seymour Cassell sounds the kind of guy I'd love to hang out with lol.Brilliant.

  • yep...he was great in all those Cassavetes movies, too.

  • This is Great I'd love to see this and all the movies mentioned If anyone's got the Trip I'd be greatful Peter Fonda in this and Henry Fonda in The Grapes of Wrath are Masterpieces,

creative genius Dennis,Jack and Peter are awesome Also Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the symbolism of it all ! Thanks for the post

  • I taped and saw this movie when it was on AMC last year. And to be honest with you, I thought "Easy Rider"-next to "The Manchurian Candiate", "Petulia", and "Cactus Flower" was the most over-the-top 60's movie I ever saw. whymee, you hit it on the head: This was a depressing movie (with the exception of "Days of Wine and Roses") and especially the ending in what turns out to be a complete rip-off to "Bonnie and Clyde" and in some regards-the Kennedy assassination.

  • At 8:41 are they talking about a threesom? A sexual threesom? Im not sure its hard to undrestand what they mean but I think they said they crassed into a room where 3 people were in bed together

  • Yep, Peter Fonda seems as big a dick in an interview as he does in the movie. Not surprised.

  • Fonda is a genius. dick or not. his film "the Hired Hand" is a great american movie.

  • Will check it out. Never heard of it. Thanks.

  • You are welcome my British friend. You are right, Fonda does seem like a douche but he was involved in a lot of cool projects as he grew into his 20s, not just this but Wild Angels, the Hired Hand, Race With the Devil, and 92 In the Shade with Warren Oates.

  • how does he seem like a dick?

  • you're right...Hired Hand is a great movie...with an amazing soundtrack....not sure I would call Fonda a genius, though.

  • Probably not but I am given to enthusiastic hyperbole when it comes to films(and the people associated with them)that I care about.

  • but wasn't Dennis Hopper the alcoholic who had delusions of grandeur, abused his wife and attacked Rip Torn with a knife?

  • i think easy rider is a depressing movie

  • that's why i turn it off as soon as they get to the diner. if i go any further i get depressed and develop a vicious hatred out The South.

  • I Love These Guys...

  • "They went in search of America, they didnt find it"!

  • @backrowman has anyone?

  • @backrowman Yea they did fine the real United States filled with racist stupid violent corn pone trash - that is why they wound up dead.

  • This is a clasic, it defines what riding is all about and what it is not about. It does endear all riders to one call that of the open road. I enjoyed this entire series.

  • Part of the definitive American collection of Great films- know it, live it, understand it~Gypsy~
