  • The quality of some of the music started to go downhill by X3. Fortunatly there were several stand out tracks that will never be forgotten like this one!

  • Watch the Extra Credits episode on Video Game Music, they explain pretty well what makes these tunes so memorable, and why modern Video Game Music isn't as much so.

But why there's room for both.

  • GREAT MEMORIES :D

  • for some reason this song makes me thing about when we were child

  • TheOSTation got suspended, r.i.p man

  • this song i know it from another game, but from where....

  • thank you

  • this is was my fav one I think...

  • DAMN Gravity Beetle and Armored Armadillo are epic twins

  • Thank god we never had a playstation 2 when I was younger we had a nes snes and ps1 MEGAMAN FTW!!!!!!!!!!

  • A couple of months ago, I went to go pick up my sister from the airport. The sun was setting, and I had this song blasting. Man, I got big time nostalgia at that moment. Try plane spotting with this song playing, it's frickin awesome.

  • Gotta say I love this track!

  • the old school still rules!

  • psx song version sucks my balls

  • Everytime I see a beetle and watch what its doing, even if its just slowly walking, I imagine this song.

  • @PolyRuni lol

    epic

  • man I think nintendo should sell all there classic systems again that would be awesome.

  • I always though X looked him of funny on the box cover. I get how he's trying to look tough, but his waist looks a little feminine and his arm cannon looks like a dick.

  • @mopbrothers What kinda dicks are you lookin at?

  • @juan5557903 And all the others were ruined! even the sound effects!!

  • awesome

  • @juan5557903 because capcom is fucking stupid, this song is legendary

  • A remix of this song was in the pirated game Pokemon Stadium for the SNES.

  • The problem I have with the X series when it went to PS is that they decided the majority of tunes have a techno/electronic sound to them, over complicating and missing the point of what Rockman is.

    Maybe they'll stop butchering it....

  • @juan5557903 oh my god i so agree, i literally don't favor any track from that game, in any X game there's always at least one, but the arranged versions of the songs just seem so...un 8-bit just doesn't fit the mood, but this...is EPIC! snes forever!

jg4.bei(team legend atl) dem swagg boys

  • This this is badass personal favorite out of the Maverick boss themes.

  • @DarkFlip22 This*

  • This song grew its own boner and just fucked my ears... and it feels good ^^

  • I never played MMX3 when it was new, but it's never too late to appreciate the classics. Great music from a great game. :-)

  • ohhh the sunset of that level and the music..thats a tracendental moment in megaman x 3.

  • this somehow makes me feel that im fighting and i never win no matter how hard i try

  • @caccapylly1 wow thats what you feel i feel like if im overpowered maybe thats what you really think inside?

  • @caccapylly1 This sounds pretty damned encouraging to me >_>

  • I LOVE the part from 0:29-0:50

  • Probably the best "airport"-themed music from any video game of the 16-bit era. This theme really evokes civil aviation to me for some reason.

  • this music is great, but unfortunately that guitar at 0:29 is too high and it's kind of grating to me...

  • I love this game and the music. But I never really found out what the armor shield is good for? You know when you get hit when you obtain the armor... then you are sorrounded by a blue shield. What is it good for anyway? I never figured that one out. :)

  • @PsychoticLuke Redues damage you recieve by half.

  • @PachucoDesigns Oooh ok! :))) So, apart from reducing damage due to armor, the shield will reduce the next recieved damage by half?

  • @PsychoticLuke Yes.

  • This is a way better song than storm eagle's song

  • Sometimes I go to Gravity Beetle's stage just to listen this awesome OST

  • Awesome theme, definitely my favorite from X3. Everyone who likes this theme should listen to this:

    v=DCDrKiF3mKg

    It's similar in some parts.

  • Does anyone know where I can download this soundtrack?

  • download the youtube converter , then use the url to download it, done.

  • Love the box art with the sunset in the background. The music kicks ass. One of, if not my fave MMX theme.

  • bandant comme musique

  • storm eagle is a hit, but this is more powerful for me. MMX3 has deeper songs than MMX n' MMX2, in my opinion.

  • I think x1-x3 had an amazing soundtrack overall but i think your right that x3 has deeper songs, like there's something really sad about blizzard buffalo theme that i love.

  • yehaa iio ya soy un experto en ese juego lo acabo sin trucos ni armadura ni poderes ya es pan comido haha

  • I can't decide what's better...this? or Storm Eagle...what do y'all think?

  • this one

  • i like this better, I think storm eagles theme is over rated, I like spark mandrills and flame mammoths themes wayy better from X1.

  • Hmmm, I always thought Spark Mandrill was overrated :/

  • lol his theme or him i just think everybody loves off storm eagles theme but alot of other ones are just as good in my opinion if your talking about him haha i think he deserves more credit poor guy doesn't stand a chance with shotgun ice not that i use it :O

  • im glad that there's other people that appreciate this kind of music.. like wise myself..

megaman has not only a great story line, but great music as well...

  • Brings back good memories

  • Great track. Does anyone else get reminded by Napalm man's theme from MM5? To me it has the same air to it, but it just sounds amazing.

  • 2nd best song in game my opinion

  • best song i'ne heard on a megaman game

  • I thank god for youtube and for all you people who appreciate these kind of things. god bless you. these are memories of my childhood that i cannot and will not ever forget. thank you.

  • You took the words right out of my mouth lol i agree with you nice memories of me being 11 hearing this now i'm 24 and i still can't get enough.

  • me too, i was 10 years old now im 24 and it's still amazing. i grew up on these kinds of games, especially snes versions of mega man x 1 2 & 3.

i have them now on my pc and ill never delete them, theyre priceless souvenirs that i dont think any games nowadays could ever top in terms of story and music. :)

  • Nice, were both 24 and Canadian at that :)

  • @chrono28solid T.T That was so beautiful man.Peace bro! ; )

  • @chrono28solid :_ ;

  • It´s not just that Man!

In Megaman X6, the bastards cut the damn Voice acting

    in japanese!

I dislike this collection, i really do...

  • Yeah I hear ya. Is why I still got my PSX release.

  • the Snes Version of this game is Far Superior in terms of

Music! I don´t like Megaman X3 Psx Version on the Megaman X Collection... Why the Goddamn Changes?

  • totally agree with you on that. That's the one thing that annoyed me about the collection.

  • The remixed got higher ratings at the time, and it has new FMV sequences.

  • I never even played this game yet I like the music.

  • same for me

  • 0:26

    YEAH

  • Mystic quest legend, MMX 3, DKC2, best themes of all. Anyone agrees?

  • fuck yeah, agreed . people dont give mmx 3 the respect it deserves. its the best of the x series imo. 1.) DKC2, 2.) MMX3 =the best

  • The game is so hard but i love it and hate it

  • YES!!!

  • and tales of phantasia for SNES

  • Ahh, when video games had awesome music.

  • There's no difference between the amount of good video game music during the SNES games and the amount of good video game music now.

  • ...except for that there was more good music back then

  • @woohookittys *shakes head in severe dissagreement* you're are one of those many people who always has to compare things from back then to now as if "back then" was like your god that you were breastfed off of and today is like living in the hell that is afganistan. you always complain about things today as if nothing good has happend in this society even though that's not true at all. listen to the music in half-life and then try to repeat that phrase.

  • @mindmonkey00 I agree with you, but half life is a bad example, seeing as how it's 12 years old, and if you mean half life 2, that's still 6 years old.

  • @woohookittys yeah, those were the days >.<

Megaman has always been on top for stage themes, both X and classic IMO. Castlevania is pretty damn close too

  • @woohookittys they do still! look at assassins creed! look at VVVVV! or many other indie games..

  • @RakeChannel ya no..

  • ke chido la musica de este videojuego siempre me ha gustado gracias

  • i kept replaying this level although i beat it because of the song

    this song is amazing

  • HELL YEAH!! this was the song!!

man... it was so cool.. I couldn't concentrate at school because of this music.. good times :)

    ROCK N ROLl!!

  • did you hit your head when you posted this comment?

  • LOL that was funny sigmaniuass

  • @Movieviewer2 looking at the megaman x3 cover art is weird why choose toxic seahorse stage as the background maybe he liked that boss i think using the intro utopian city or gravity beetle stage as the background would have looked cooler :)

  • i remember buying this game for the first time at age 10 i was playing the gravity beetle song i totally got into the song and kept dying lol

  • Why did they have to change the music on the PS2 version?

  • i noticed something.

if u want to make heroic sounding songs, u make use of off scale notes.

off scale notes make everything sound more epic, like "oo say can you see?" analyze that song, and theres tons of off scsale notes.

  • Nice observation even though I not familiar with music terms.

  • if ur using the C scale, using the black pianos keys is what i am referring to

  • THIS MUSIC IS AMAZING¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • i just sat and imagined what you were talking about silverfox... sounds amazing, im sure every single hair on my body would be standing on end

  • I was on a plane to Orlando a few weeks ago. I had a window seat, and we were cruising just barely above the cumulus clouds during an awesome sunset. I had this song playing on my iPod, and man, those precious moments above the clouds at sunset were amazing.

    This track is awesome.

  • lolol that is incredibly nerdy, but incredibly awesome at the same time roflz

  • seriously haha. good stuff though

  • talk about epic huh? make you wanna start running on top the plane with your armplasmacannon wailing lol

  • LOL HELL YAH!

so awesome how awesome the orignal composition is.

  • This is probably one of the most heroic sounding songs in the X series.

Everytime I hear this song, I think about X on the outside of the stage, with the clouds moving at high speeds and the orange sky in the back.

    Awesome. ^_^

  • nah man the most heroic is sigma stage 1 from X1

  • Sigma stage 1? Heroic...?

    Mannnnnn........

That song is just depressing. Hahaha. Especially knowing that Zero dies in that stage, I'd say it rather fits the downfall of a hero.

  • mannnn ur high. lol. sigma stage 1 has like the perfect balance of epic heroism, tragic downfall, and "im gonna fux u up"ness

  • Hahaha.

True, but basically what I mean is that Gravity Beetle's song is more of a triumphant heroic theme, while Sigma stage 1 is more of what you said, more tragic.

  • just the way i like it :)

to me, having a tragic theme goes hand in hand with heroism, so sigma stage 1 gets my vote

  • definitely more epic. kind of a sad/finale feeling, which is what they were going for, and fits perfectly.

but for making me want to run on a plane with a plasma cannon, gravity beetle does it for me

  • Where do I download megaman x3 original sound tracks besides gravity beetle, thats the only song available

  • hey im going to upload mega man x3 ps1 version soon

  • Capcom make maverick hunter X 2 and 3!!!!

  • Maybe Capcom thought the arrange tracks sounded better?

    Don't know.

  • @Movieviewer2 the tracks on Collection is from the PSX version

  • Even over a decade after its release this track is still great. Fits for a climactic fight scene IMO.

  • brings back those old memoires of setting down and playing some X3 right before i call it a day

  • wasn't this song remixed in megaman x4? the final sigma stage where you get to battle all the bosses....the song in the background isn't a remixed version of Gravity Beetles's theme?

  • no its not

  • man such a nice box art :D

  • when i was little i thought the wall behind x was planet earth.... man i was so retarded back in 97.

  • Cool song. The beginning reminds me of the 2nd part from the Megaman 4 intro when Megaman is standing on a train. The first few seconds have the same melody.

  • X3's music really isn't that good?

then you haven't heard the arrange version of these levels.

These are the original SNES version, the arrange songs are remixed, and on my opinion, sound quite better. (No offense to anybody who likes the SNES version)

  • If you're talking about the PSX version then I agree that it does sound better.

  • Yeah. i know.

I had Mega Man X Collection and it had the PSX soundtracks.

  • Honestly, the X Collection shouldn't have done that. The PSX tracks suck

  • This is my favorite mega man x song in the series, right next to boomer kuwanger's.

  • best song 5/5

  • lol this was the first game i ever played!

  • This brings back memories, my favorite stage music. Also the easiest if I remember correctly.

  • crude and pointless sex joke

  • Ya,I would be okay with the X collection, but they ruined X3 for me by putting in the PS version...

  • Best X was X3

  • Stage is a breeze with Leg Armor lol

  • Best Megaman X song!

  • i need the x series to go on the wii VC

  • It TOTALLY needs to go to wii VC

    I miss X1-X6.

  • This is great! thanks for posting this stuff. Do you have Dr. Cain's theme?

  • just buy the collection....it'll save u money

  • Gravity Beetbod sounds like a funny name.

  • que genial!!

  • The weird thing is that, according to the MM canon, Boomer Kuwanger from X1 and Gravity Beetle are 'brother' reploids; and you can hear common themes in their stage music.

  • ya same with squid alder from x5 and launch octopus (octopardo) from x

  • I never knew this....COOL

  • benim için en güzel oyunlardan birisi bu oyun.müzik de çok güzel.

  • i have this on zsnes, i couldn't stop playing. My zsnes program is broken now tho :(

  • gravity beetle 's theme is best!

  • toxic seahorse theme is cool too

  • I like Scissors Shrimper the best!

  • Ah, Scissors Shrimper, WAY better than Crush Crawfish.

  • LOL!!!

  • Lol, Burn Cockcock from X8.

  • Crush Crawfish is WAY more manly, though. I mean, come on! "Scissors Shrimper"? That barely even sounds threatening!

  • The point is, that I barely find him threatening,he's REAL easy.

  • the best song megaman

  • The SNES version is the best!

  • NICE!!!!!

  • Best music in the Megaman X series. Although it's all awesome.

  • This song always reminds me of sunsets because of the level's background =) I remember I would always come home from school on fridays and listen to this song.

  • They put alot of work into the songs on megaman x games.

  • the work has definitely paid off... as you can see these hits will be around for a while

  • this song is AWESOME

  • The SNES vresion is fr superior to the PS1 version. The ps1 version doesn't loop the music although it does have cut scenes. And all the cutscenes from the SNES versionare all sloppy looking on the PS 1 version

  • Can I request the Rhino's (can't remember name) music?

  • sure. no problem.
