@TheVeenmeister You do know the rb26det is a 2.6l inline 6. The bmw s38b3x in the car is a 3.x lite inline 6. Booth have 24valve head. So you will get the same sound. Can't understand why every comment from a stupid American have to bee about a fucking japengine.

If the engine setup is the same (aside the displacement) it is not said that they will have the same sound... Listen to the 2JZ-GTE from Toyota. Then you hear what I mean. Also a 3.0l inline 6 24-valve head and two turbo's. But yet the sound is different... Even on heavily tuned engines...
