They remade I Spit On Your Grave, and I thought the original was more hardcore than the remake. Just for reference, anyone who doesn't like this movie is not even close to a true gorehound fan of the genre so go watch Cloverfield or Quarantine! This is an absolute gem of a horror/gore/comedy and is HIGHLY respected as a grade A cult classic horror film! It was in fact directed by the one and only Peter Jackson (King Kong 2005) (Lord Of The Rings trilogy) if you do like it then you also MUST see "Bad Taste" Peters other cult classic of the same genre. Keep it real horrorhounds!
