  • I am from Dominican Republic.. :D

it`s very common to see that on the beach..

  • sorry, i don´t mean YOUR Hair, i mean THE Hair :)

How much Time do you need for the Complete Hair ?

  • GREAT JOB !!! Fantastic to see, How Simlpy you make your Hair - and HOW Simple is it to make Beads in the Ends of a Hair-Passe`...But you`re are Right, when you say: No one wants to spend a day in our shoes...so sad, and so true :(

  • beads.

  • what are the little balls that they put at the end called??

  • BAD

  • thats white hair

  • Emulate and imitate, but no one wants to spend a day in our shoes. Oh the cost that bore those hands to braid....Everyone wants the blessing but not the blesser. Culture is organic.

  • Do you mind explaining in more depth what you mean by your comment?

  • amen

  • @sfillyaw well said!

  • I so sorry but these braids are very frizzy and not pretty!!!

  • porque ella no tiene pelo de los personas negros lol

  • im sorry but that braid up looks jacked up...horrible job...

  • that girls head jacked up she need oil treatment or something lookin like a scarecrow top

  • Trust me she was a young, teenage white young lady from Canada. Her hair was sandy blonde before getting her hair braided and she put a small amount of a gel in her hair before braiding.

  • This was a white girl's hair. She was just being the "mannequin" for me to learn from Jolanda. I did not know her but she was white.

  • HAT LOOKS LIKE MIXED HAIR.....maybe not but it seems like it .... looks like my cousines

  • Thats gotta be a white person's thin hair.

  • hmmm ,i have seen better -beginning not so good d the techniek :s

  • actually.. it looks painless.... she isnt really pulling the hair much at all

  • Dominicans can hook up some hair!

  • Yeah but alot of them on the beach are PUSHY. Infact one haggler tried selling us 3 pieces of jewelry on the beach for 80$ USD, that we got down the street at the liquidation for like 3 dollars Canadian

  • wow looks realy good

is it true that doing cornrows can push the persons hairline back?

  • if its Done to tight or on too little amount of hair!...for instance i got my hair put in cornrolls(and have done so for years) and its always been done Not to tight and my hair grows from it, But a month ago i got micros i was SO unsatisfied with them they took my hair out because they were to tight and TOO Small...will NEVER get those again!

  • yeah and u need to take a good break in between styles too. and getting permed hair braided is a good idea to me cuz ur hair is u know straight and getting pulled on when its getting braided

  • YES

  • just had dreaqdlocks put in got rid of braids too much messing about taking them in and out to re do them all the time now i just got to shop and have it wax and twisted

  • this is not the dominican republic. its Haiti. cause in DR they speak spanish not french creole. opps my bad their hatians braiding peoples hair in DR. well nice video and nice braids. :-)

  • Oh I see. But I meant when you asked if she could do the two strand twists, she did an under-handed 3 strand braid instead of two strand twists. You should check out Katelynylyn's videos on you tube. She has Liberian daughter's and she has beautiful instructional videos.

  • Thanks I have watched some of them. I just had the experience to do it in person. She could not understand what I was saying. They were from Haiti and came over on a bus to Dominican Republic every day. They only spoke a tiny amount of English, and spoke Spanish and French. I just thought the video showed well what she was doing, not necessarily what we were saying....LOL =D

  • Cute.. She still didn't show you the two starnd twists though. How long did you keep them in? Did your scalp itch?

  • I did not get them done. I was being taught how to do them. Jolanda spent two days with me and also let me work with her clients she would get on the beach. It was a great time. This young woman was from Canada and Jolanda's friend did tatoos also, so we just asked if we could redo her that Jolanda had already done.

  • hi there can u help me i have braids all the time in my hair and my head itches all the time it dont bother me cause im used to it now iv had them that long but it can get a bit too much somedays any good products to use to stop it or to relive it? i have english hair as well not jamaican hair just to let u know any ideas will be great

  • I am part of a Yahoo group for adoption hair and skincare. It is an excellent resource. I think I have heard before that it is because the braids can be too tight and the skin is affected by this. I personally have never had braids and have never experienced the itching myself. Good luck!! We use all natural products or close to it on Clara's hair. She is African American. We use Carol's Daughter and also Jamaican Mango and Lime products. Good luck!!
