  • I love your piano. I want it :O!

    Good play too :).

  • This is a great song, one of the first songs I memorized when I first started playing.

  • To me, it sounds like you are rushing a bit. The dynamics are little and I was hoping to hear and feel the beat and sound of this music. But, I still love it. :3 Keep up the good work, boy.

  • you killed this piece...overlooking the intent and musical balance.

Overall, and this is the first time I have talked badly about a video, horrible performance and musical inclination. Look over the score again, and really 'feel' the music...

  • @kevingbernhardt oh like you can any better... so shut up, you jealous person.

  • @kevingbernhardt oh like you can any better... so shut up, you jealous person. I am 13 and I can play this piece just like him. He's better than me a bit.

  • @kevingbernhardt

Post a video of yourself playing this song without "overlooking the intent and musical balance", and then we'll talk.

  • played very well:) Loved it but i think you could be a bit more passionate about it. Sorry :/

  • This song's meant to be written about Macbeth. Not Lady Macbeth. This entire piece, the way you've played it is far too frantic. It should be slower to match the more contemplative parts of the play. :/ Even that very last part is meant to be MUCH slower.

  • Very nice :)

  • nice playing, but the suggestion is that do it a bit slower, the speed you were playing at is a bit fast so yea overall nice!

  • It's made by PETROF.

  • overall nice playing, but at 1:01 starting, need to be way softer as marked in the song as "pp" (really soft), because u play the whole song as 'mf'' and i dont it was marked 'mf' out the whole song, and dont jump on the melody, walks on it, meaning put down next key before u lift up other, making the sound quality better without the pedal, the technique is in ur hand. but the part starting at 1:00 does require pedal though, the rest doesnt

  • Thanks for your constructive critic. You are right that there could be more fluency and more dynamic contrasts. It's an old video, though. So sometime I will surely make an update of this.

  • yeah im playin dis on da piano now 2 nd its hard enufff ta learn loike.....so it wasnt 2 bad on dat note! Sound job bah!

  • klasse..............

  • May I know this piece is under which main category and which opus? Thanks

  • List C.Op 12. No 3.

  • I think that you play to fast.. my piano teacher said that this song is quit slow.. because Grieg was romantic person.. or something... (sorry bad english)

    -Maple Leaf Rag

    -To Zanarkand (neuere Version)

    -Summer 78

-Dvorak (Legend nr.1), mit meinem früheren Klavierlehrer

    -Danse de Travers

    u.v.m.

  • A somewhat translation of the first paragraph. (So you can get the gist): "I do not like this. The playing thrives on its tightly bound sounds and well, truly parts of it the pedal quite oftenly came. Also, you should at least begin to use the meter..." I can only give you a raw translation of the last paragraph: "Sometimes it seems to me more like masses on the canal instead of class before you taking aka untericht really professional help or do you do all this by the way?"

  • Eigene Sprachkunst oder Google Übersetzer?

  • Oh. I don't actually speak German. I got this translation from a translation website, just so people could get a gist of what he was saying, and ao people

could give him a thumbs up rating or thumbs down rating.

  • ayy

has anyone seen the flute part for this? im looking for one. and

    the sailors' song

  • fine. i play that song too.

  • When I play this song, I prefer to play it real fast. its funner then.

I just played it in a concert for like an hour ago. haha.. GO GRIEG! <3

  • Lol I played this at my spring concert except they called it Andante. I'm not sure if we played the correct version or not seeing how I was in 7th grade but if not I would love to play the more challenging.

I play the ContreBass (lil btw)

  • try to play some parts fast and some slow. more fun to make it personal

  • Sucked. Player needs to memorize the notes and use more rhythmic sense and develop an interpretation based on how the music makes her feel, instead of merely reading the notes

  • chinguen a su puta madre todos!!!

    hijos de puta!!!

  • I think the staccato parts that occurs when you don't use your pedal enough wrecks the wholeness of the song. A bit hasty. Otherwise very nice :)

  • If you made more use of the pedal at the beginning and on repeated notes, it would make the piece sound a lot more whole. ^-^

You seem to rush a little in some parts. Take your time!! =D

    Really nice middle section. =P

  • Yes, you are right. Could have used a little bit more pedal :O

    Thanks for the comment!

  • i agree with the rushed parts. i hav to play this song and i have to play it quite slowly

other than that well done!! :DD

  • well performed,

btw am i from a composers country? - austria?

  • Edvard Grieg ist Norweger.

  • but am i from a composers country

  • You are very good! How long have you taken piano?

  • I started with 8. But it became my passion when I was about 15. Now I am 20, so I've been playing for almost 12 years. But I think the first years you can't really count.

  • As the others said, it was a bit rushed. It made it sound a little stressed.

In my opinion, the first part should be played with pedal, or it sounds a bit staccato.

But other than that, it was great!

  • Overall comments: nice float, a little rushed sometimes, but overall intonation good.

    Detailed comment:

The main theeme is played different the last time, and you forgot to play the last beats in the third meassure before the end (a C in the right hand and a G# in the left).

  • Thanks for your comment. I noticed it when I listened to my video while looking into the sheet music.

  • hey! great! maybe you should put some pedal with it to omake it flow better? thats what i did! and it sounds beautiful! but it sounds amazing the way ur playing it already! happy playing!

  • good i want to play this song on the piano 2 but i vergot it. It's so beautiful!!!

You play very good! (sorry for my bad english)

  • Thank you so much for adding! It's a really nice song.

I think you played it well. I always use a little bit of ritardando, though. Especially at the end of the first bar. It seems a little bit rushed some places.

Other than that, superb. Keep it up! You've succeeded in inspiring me!

  • Thank you for your comment! It's always a pleasure for me getting a good feedback from people of the composer's country!
