I saw this film in the 1950's. It was a tears jerker. Sadly, there are some mothers who absconded from their roles and duties as primary care givers to their kids. These kids who become grown ups (adults) will view the world as a cold, cruel and dark place. They may also suffer from depression later in life.

It has been so long that I saw this movie. But the universal truth of mother's love being so important still holds true today.

There must be something beyond all these in life.

Yes, this marvellous song always brings tears in my eyes, and I really regreted that I had not been obedient to my mum when I was young. It was when I went to study in a foreign land (Melbourne, Australia) that I realised my stupidity. I since had made it good to my mum who is now almost 90 years old!

這首歌絕對經典, 芳芳當然唱得不很好,

不過就因為不好成就了這個極為天真無邪

的版本, 因為戲中和真實年紀相襯得很, 假若擙上了有根基歌唱技巧的就失了那種小兒想母的情懷.

後人當想起{媽媽好]時, 只會想到蕭芳芳.
