  • i lost all my ferrets to the cold and one to a tumor in the throught, miss them lots

  • hey all you jackasses, nightwolfseye got the ferret out of the store!that should count as something.at least the poor ferret was warm, fed and loved for its last days.i salute you nightwolfseye for trying!!

  • :/

  • It's wonderful to see someone actually taking action to try and help ferrets - they have no voice for themselves. It's a terrible thing that the store is still in business, BUT just the fact that you complained about them to several places works to help the case against them. It makes me tear up to see a poor fert likes this, but I'm sure he/she appreciated the actual love and thoughtful care before the end, instead of being left to die in that place.

  • Poor little baybe:(((((

  • I just saw your video and I am so sorry for your loss. I own 4 ferrets as well as manage a small, family owned pet store. We do get Marshall ferrets and none of them ever looked like this. I would have to say that this happened at said pet store where you bought the poor thing. You did the right thing in video taping this and showing it. Now people will see that even pet stores, when run by uncaring people, are nothing more than jokes. I am so glad that where I work isn't like that.

  • I'm sorry for your lost. =( At least she knew someone cared about her before she passed on.

  • At least you insured he did not suffer his last few days of life. My Persian kitty came full of fleas, sick and extremely undernourished. She nearly died on me several times and I paid a lot of money to make sure she survived-more than what she cost. I also tried to turn those people in and reported them however they somehow managed to squeak by as well. That cattery is STILL selling kittens! Though in the future don't buy from pet stores. Buy from private business and check their reputation

  • That poor wee baby! If it was me I would torcher the heck out of anyone who would do this to a little one! You were completely right to buy that damaged soul and give him a good home till the end of his days. you are such a good person! I'm sorry for your pain and ope the little one doesn't sufferf anymore. <=)

  • nightwolfseye: Thank you so much for giving this poor little guy a loving home before he passed away. You're an angel. I'm very sorry for your loss.

  • I have a ferret that I rescued that was kept in a cage 24-7. I wish people would do their research before getting one of these very smart creatures. Im sorry you lost the little guy, it was wonderful that you gave him a comfortable life at the end though^..^

  • im so srry for your loss i think he is very cute i no wat it feels like i have now got two ferrets there really good pets when there loved

  • im gona betup the stor owner

  • it isn't your fault nightwolfseye unless you have photographic evidence of the ferret being mistreated or substantial evidence that the pet store is buying from brokers or backyard breeders you can't do a thing you did what you thought was right this little guy clearly wasn't done nursing from his mother.

  • learn more about ferrets before u buy one.. i owned alot of ferrets they are awsome. take care of them and love them as much as u can.but if they are suffering...put them to sleep..it isnt fair..Im sure there is a ferret heaven

  • I'm so sorry for your loss :( At least you tried your hardest to help the poor baby :)

  • Poor guy, glad you gave him a good last couple of days/weeks/months.

  • I got all three of my ferrets from Pet Co. and there was nothing wrong with them. My first ferret lived to be 9 and I had to put him down cuz he developed cancer. If you see an animal that doesnt look healthy then chances are they are not.

  • I know you were trying to help the ailing ferret but please please never buy an animal from a pet store, no matter how bad you feel for them. By you buying them you are providing business for that pet store and enabling them to continue treating animals horribly. Please think about it, and never buy from a pet store!

  • @lovabullinz Not all pet stores are bad :I Chain pet stores with no care for animals usually are, but individual pet stores with love for animals are not cruel.

  • @lovabullinz

I disagree. If an animal is suffering and you care and are able to do so you RESCUE IT. Leaving it there to die a horrible death is just WRONG. After you safely remove it, if you suspect the store is giving poor quality care that's resulting in animals suffering then you REPORT THEM to the proper authorities, as this person did. Thanks to this person, the ferret was at least able to enjoy some measure of good care and was able to pass away in a clean & safe home, loved.

  • @Babyhowdy233 I definitely agree with you. My neighbor could no longer keep his 2 1/2-year old ferret so he offered it to us, knowing we're such animal lovers. I couldn't imagine not having him in our family. I do worry that I could be doing him an injustice by NOT adopting a companion for him, so we make it a point to play with him a lot everyday. I just can't afford another one right now. And I don't believe in giving up on them because of money. Our Beezlebub is spoiled to death!

  • @kmsmith1210

I wish this world was blessed to have more people like you! :D

  • @Babyhowdy233 Thank you, that's very kind of you! Wishing you the best ;-)

  • its to ooo sad

  • even if you buy a ferret from the sheler, that ferret most likely came from the pet shop .. so i dont think its bad to buy from a pet shop just make sure they tak great care of they're pets and you know 4 sure that you'll have that ferret for the rest of its life because they bound VERY easily, so if you leave them they may die of depression!

  • aw poor ferret. oh well not all of them make it to the end :(

  • Sorry little man

  • Poor little thing...It makes me sad! :(

  • This is neurological damage caused by blunt trauma (being thrown/hit/ect.) It takes months before things quickly take a turn for the worst and die :/

  • @LyleVertigo How do you know this is neuro? He was still a kit. He came home like this, so if he did have neuro damage it may have been from the breeders. Which really wouldn't surprise me anymore.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss, did you get another one? I'm curious ..what was he eating?

  • poor fella!! some pet stores are evil!!!

  • poor fella!! some pet stores are evil!!!

  • thats just sad

  • I am sorry that the ferret was sick. i understand what it is to adopt a pet and try to have him get better a hope for the best. at least were not like those loser laughing at the fact that a ferret is sick and trying to recover a ferret.

my ferrets are happy and and the sick one (romeo) being TLC back to health. i hope he gets to be the happy fat one :)

  • i just have a quick question. Did that ferret just purr?

  • sorry lil guy!!! i recently lost one to an adrenal tumor. i know its hard to watch them near the end. they are so sad the last couple weeks, barely walking and eating. tears my heart out :(((

  • im really sad my baby bird died today

  • did you report this??

  • did he die in the video at the end? :(

  • @fagg0tmast3r No he didn't die at the end.

  • Bless you for giving this Little one a warm bed and Real Food. Hes probably In Ferret heaven looking down and bragging to the other ferrets "Hey that is my momma" It takes a truly kind hearted person to Get this little one out of a bad situation, and into the arms of a loving human. And to everyone who is bad mouthing this person, They didnt have to spend thier money to get him out. More that likely like everybody else you would of walked away and forgotten about the ferret. This person didnt.

  • will you be looking to get another ferret? Sorry for your loss.

  • so sorry for that. I just dont know how I would deal with a similar situation. be strong. and thanks for being a kind person.

  • I lost 4 hamsters buts probably different from losing a ferret I'm srry for loss :'(

  • ok first i want to say fuck all the ignorant comments, you did a good thing you made that innocent little guys last hours the best possible. and you got him out of that place at least for a little while and im glad someone did, what a sin....:'(

  • i always buy ferrets from a rescue center because i dont trust pet stores that sell animals. your poor little ferret. i am so sorry for your loss. ;( i believe you when you say that you did not make him like this i tottaly believe you and no one can convince me otherwise. :)

  • Hi Bre, I know this was 2 years ago, but I know the frustration you feel when trying to get the authorities involved. I have a rescued ferret that some stupid human tried to set "free" in the middle of July in Florida. Down here, that is a felony but they wouldn't do anything. At least now I have her and she is happy and healthy (and spoiled, very spoiled...lol). We do the best we can for those that don't have voices of their own.

  • @Dagona23 cool. i live in florida too and try to adopt ferrets. i try to help the broward ferret place with there ferrets as much as possible.

  • poor baby =( I have my two girls Luna and Hailey eating 8 and 1 premium diet and are pretty healthy, Hailey is a big puff ball and is also deaf. For what its worth i think you did the right thing taking him out of that situation and taking matters into your own hands. Sorry he didn't make it though =( at least his last few days were comfy and not in a smelly pet-store

  • =[

  • Did they ever figure out what was wrong with the ferrett? I mean, just looking at the poor thing, clearly it wasn't feeling well at all.

Good for you for doing your best to give the little guy/girl a chance, I'm sorry it didn't work out.

  • awww i am sooooo sorry did you get another?

  • And so when you saw this animal at the store in this condition you didn't call the RSPCA on them why? What the fuck did you buy it for? Video it in the store and turn the assholes in. You were an idiot for not getting them charged.

  • @sklarich1 Alright listen. I'm tired of comments like this. In case you haven't read my previous comments. I TRIED TO GET THEM TURNED IN. Alright? There was no need for you to call me an idiot. I called Marshall Farms numerous times, called the pet store, called the animal shelters and everything around in that area. They could do nothing. They went in and saw a "clean" store. Mmmmkay? It isn't my fault. I bought him, he didn't make it. It doesn't make me an idiot.

  • If anything, you're a good person for giving this ferret a good last few days!

  • @sklarich1 You need to think before you speak.

  • =( sad, my ferret had a problem like that, but igave him honey (2ml 3 times at day) and vitamins (ciproheptadin/ vit B12). I hope this help to some ferrets =3

  • When do people stop being like this to ferrets? When do they stop purchasing them in a pet store and treating them like rodents, when actually rodents are what they eat? When do they FINALLY stop keeping them alone, while they're leading a deranged life? Ignorance...

  • @SevenBeer ???

  • @SevenBeer you're ignorant

  • That is so sad to see...I hate pet stores. I own a ferret now named Angus, and I love him to death. I wouldn't know what I would do if I lost him. I've lost pets before and it's hard especially if you done your best to provide for them. My heart goes out to you.

  • Im very sorry for your lose. It never getting easy loosing an animal. My heart goes to anyone that has ever lost a beloved pet. Grief is the Price we Pay for Love.

  • Poor Poor baby =( please avoid buying animals at petstores, or just don't buy at all, adopt! All they think about is money...

  • poor baby!!! that pet store should be closed down!! sad!!

  • oooh thats sad im very sorry for your loss. the pet shop should have known by looking at it that it was sick or they didnt care well for this ferret. i bought a female ferret off the craigslist 1 year ago that looked like that i knew it couldnt stay in that home so i bought it today shes fat and healthy but yeah u did what u could if it was a marshalls ferret the pet shop should give you a year health gaurentee and cert...thats really sad was this the pet shops fault?

  • i got a ferret that was like that from a pet store! was so pissed they said he was fine..

but u could tell he was sick and was too weak to eat! they wouldnt care for it so i got him and took him home hes doing a bit better with me he trys to play and try to keep him with my bigger ferrets. took him to the animal hopstial the other day :( i pray cloud pulls threw!

  • Thats awful. Sorry he passed away. At least he got a home before he left.

  • Devistating !! Poor babyxxxxxx

  • my ferret died 2 years after I got him I don't know what happed to him but one morning his back side was skinny and his back legs paralyzed he couldn't move them he died before we could even get him to the vet may he rest in peace

  • i would not buy anything from marshalls, their animals are horribly neglected and inbred.they are put into wire cages which cut and mangle their sensitive feet, some go without food and water for days and the smell from the housing is enough to sicken even the most heartiest.they also sell their animals to research facilities for unimaginable, painful experiments.marshalls sucks and should be shut down!

  • aaaw boo hooo.

    too bad it was sick.

Good that you cared for it. You`re the champ here!

But why the fuck people make such a drama over everything? Millions of pets, ferrets and other things die every day from different causes.

  • @EdTheBadass Why do people make such a big deal about their loved ones dying when millions of people die from different causes every day? Oh that's right, because they were special. And they were a loved one. The same goes for animals.

  • @nightelve123l0v3

    people should be less emotional.

  • @EdTheBadass Maybe you should be less heartless.

  • @nightelve123l0v3

wtf is with "night....something" in your nicknames?

    damn emo

  • @EdTheBadass LOL. This has nothing to do with my username, dude. xD I made this account like 3 years ago also. The name was from a game I used to play :).

  • @nightelve123l0v3 hey.. i know for a fact that when you jump off a bridge not even the news crew would be there to report your stupidity! stop being stupid and finish jumping off if you think that way.

  • @NailCreatingMagic I'm stupid how...? Lol xD.

  • @EdTheBadass Hey Ed, maybe you should stop trying to troll videos. Thought I'd suggest it.

  • @EdTheBadass

Because in all likelihood this poor animal was in this condition due to the crap care it received in the pet store. Just last week I rescued two hamsters that were blind and crammed into a cage that had about twenty when it was only big enough to safely house two or three at the most. Anyone with a heart and some common sense should be plenty pissed off about all the animals who suffer/die needlessly. I commend the person who rescued this poor animal & I'm sorry for their loss.

  • @Babyhowdy233

I love animals and maybe I have done more for them than you.. just saying.

However I find it incredibly silly people build such a drama around every creature. Just get over it. Nature is indifferent, it doesn't care. You can fight someone who on purpose abuses aimals, but you can't fight every small discomfort. Heck, people live like sheep in their concrete 4 wall houses..

  • @EdTheBadass

Unless you are at least 55 years old..and judging from the way you express yourself I doubt it.,,and have been active in helping BOTH disabled humans and animals for over 40 years of your life then maybe I have done more for them than you..just saying.

    (cont.)

  • @Babyhowdy233

I inherited large sum of money and donated 3.5 million to national cancer research centre.

    So..

    just saying...

  • @EdTheBadass

(cont.) To make silly statements like:"Nature is indifferent, it doesn't care" and "I find it silly that people build such drama around every creature" implies that you personally accord yourself no more responsibility to the care of others-humans or animals-then would any other "animal" on this earth. If you have no higher regard nor loftier goals for yourself in your time on this earth then fine, enjoy yourself. But DON'T criticise those of us who DO.

  • @Babyhowdy233

God.. because of annoying people like you I start hating people and things you like.

  • Poor thing.. I'm sorry you had to go through this and I am sorry for your loss :(

  • I can't be sure by eye but it looks like juvenile lymphoma. Nothing anyone could have done if that's the case. You made his last days better, which is the best you could do.

  • FOR EVERYONE : use colloidal silver for your pet ! this is a powerfull anti bacterian, all natural, with no harmful effect. colloidal silver is far more effective than any synthesis/chemical molecule, and way cheaper. there's nothing more effective than the silver molecule. Use it in his water or spray it in any infected area, this is A MUST HAVE. There's plenty of shop selling it on internet, just take a look. Long live to our lovely ferrets !

  • This is horrible. My aunt worked at a pet store (That is was shut down years ago, thank god) and did her best to try to nurse one their pups back to life Sadly, he didn't make it either. It makes me sick knowing that they can let their animals live like this,

  • Instead of piece of #@&$ huge pet stores (Petco, Petsmart) buy from animal shelters it's a lot cheaper and the animals are treated better

  • Serious man, I hate the was fucking pet stores treat animals.

    BUY FROM FOSTER HOMES! <3

No animal, great or small. Fluffy or scaly. Deserve to be treated right :(

  • (Continued) I've rescued 5 ferrets already, which is why I cringe when I hear about people wanting to breed them. There are so many in need of good homes in rescues and the like, don't add to the population, take from what is already there.

  • COULD U PLEASE TELL ME THE PET STORE WHERE U BOUGHT THIS POOR LITTLE FERRET AND WHO ARE MARSHALLS FERRETS THAT I HAVE ONLY HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT ALSO IF U DONT MIND TELLING ME WHAT STATE DO U LIVE IN IF U DONT WANT TO ANSWER THE LAST QUESTION PLEASE ANSWER THE FIRST 2 THIS IS A SERIOUS CASE OF NEGLECT I ALSO WANTED TO THANK U SO MUCH FOR PURCHASING THIS LITTLE GUY EVEN THOUGH U KNEW HE WAS SICK SO U COULD HELP HIM THANK U U DID A VERY WONDERFUL THING NOT MANY PEOPLE WOULD DO THAT THANK U

  • @kele0675 Thank you. I bought him at Pet Food Center in Owensboro, KY. Marshall Farms is the major ferret provider to pet stores. Marshall Farms is a lot like a puppy mill, but only with ferrets.

  • kittyrange THAT DOES NOT MAKE A BIT OF SENSE THAT U HAVE TO FEED A MARSHALLS FERRET THE MARSHALL BRAND FOOD U ARE SAYING THEY WILL DIE UNLESS U FEED THEM THAT FOOD U ARE SO BAD OFF U ARE TRYING TO MAKE A SELL RIGHT NOW DO U WORK FOR MARSHALLS OR WHAT IS GOING ON?

  • @thekittyrange: all Marshall's ferrets are fixed prior to delivery. Check their ears, they should have two tattoos. One dot indicates their first vaccination, the other is given when they are spayed/neutered. Please register your pets with Marshall's Farms, you'll receive a birth certificate when you do. Not to paint the Devil on the wall, but Marshall's ferrets are warranted for one year from purchase as long as they are fed Marshall's brand ferret kibble, should the unthinkable happen. Unfort

  • @ILOVEBIZARREFOODS Te two tattoos refer to the two surgeries, one is spay/neuter, the other is them being descented, it is not vaccination. (I worked for a Petco, we took very good care of our animals.) Do not continue to feed them Marshall's food, the warranty is not worth it, the food lacks the proper nutrition. Go with something like Evo, which has a way better balance. I wouldn't suggest breeding your own ferrets, they can be hard to sell and you'll wind up with more than you bargained for.

  • @Pandabbit I agree completely. Evo Ferret, Natural Gold, even Blue Wilderness Chicken. Anything grainfree, high protein and low carb. Ferrets cannot digest plant matter and that's all that's basically in the Marshall diet.

  • @ILOVEBIZARREFOODS I actually know that Marshall's warranty is not any good at all. I emailed them four times about little Kaliber and they only replied to me once. Third time I emailed them I finally got a peep out of them. They told me that they couldn't do anything about Kaliber's situation or guarentee me another ferret. Because he was sick at the pet store and it wasn't a congenital defect. (born with it) They even got snippy with me.

  • I got 2 ferrets from a Petland store. They are marshall ferrets. Both of them seem very healthy, but, I did have one question. If I wanted to breed my own ferrets, where would be the best place to start searching on the web?

  • fuck people make me so angry when they let animals get this sick >.<

  • This is horible! How could this happen. I'm lucky the ferrets in the pet stores here are in GREAT shape!!! But, that is just horrible! Good fro you for taking him/her in like that!

  • can any one help me? my jill as became very week and she has been refusing to eats for the past week i have been syringing her about 10ml of water over a course of an hour any aideas on what i can do to get her to feed? :'(

  • @wikedrave Call your vet. That's about the best hing you can do for her.

  • @wikedrave Yes I would call your vet and have you tried syringe feeding her Duk Soup? That is about the best thing that they can eat while they are sick and then call your vet and see if she can be seen as soon as possible. A ferret refusing to eat is a very sick ferret.

  • @wikedrave "past week" wtf take her to a vet asap. what if she has a blockage /facepalm

  • well u did a great thing nursing that ferret. <3

i went by a petstore that sells marshall ferrets 3 weeks ago, tiny cage with two baby ferrets in it... sleeping in a friggin wood shavings i stickied angry note on the cage lol telling them to do some research on pet bedding, yesterday still same 2 boys were there sleeping on towels thank god.. felt so bad for them... they need space to stretch and play...

  • @wikedrave you can also try feeding them chicken gerber baby food, it serves as occassional treats and works perfectly when they're sick. Consult your vet if the issue continues after a couple of days.

  • This actually made me cry.. :((( poor baby...

  • At least he died in a well loved place that was warm with a warm belly. Your heart was in the right place and that pet store needs to be shut down.

  • Your heart was in the right place, but you should have called the SPCA or animal control on the shop while the ferret was still there, that way they will be charge with animal cruelty and neglect. At least this little one died knowing someone cared.

  • Mass breeding ferrets need to stop. There are farms that keep them under artificial lighting , so they come into season more often so that they can batch breed them. SO many of them end up in shelters and many dont make it. Theyve stopped selling ferrets in pet shops in the UK. Get ferrets from breeders who know what theyre doing and stop supporting these evil organisations.

  • This video makes me so sad... :((( I think if I ever walk into a pet shop and see a sick ferret I'll buy it and try to nurse it back to health. No animal deserves to be neglected or treated poorly to the point of illness. Poor little guy...

  • he looks so bad.. im so sorry..did you buy him to save him?! you have a heart<3

  • i am so sorry.. but i read things saying marshalls ferret organization is evil.. but they are just like all the other ones out there..and if it wasnt for them..we wouldnt have ferrets..

  • Poor baby,...

  • dude i fell your pain one day i came home from school and mine looked just like that and we took him to the vet and the other day he just died.i felt so horrible.sorry for your dude.its okay. at least hes in a better place.is the food safe from marshells because thats what i feed my ferret

  • @lulumylove1234 Thank you. :) I wouldn't feed your ferret Marshalls diet. Go with something like Evo Ferret, Natural Gold or Blue Wilderness Chicken. (it's a cat food, but grainfree and holistic) Ferrets can't digest plant matter and thats all thats in Marshalls diet. By-products and fillers. Get anything high protein, low carb and grain free. :)

  • dude i fell your pain one day i came home from school and mine looked just like that and we took him to the vet and the other day he just died.i felt so horrible.sorry for your dude.its okay. at least hes in a better place

  • dude i fell your pain one day i came home from school and mine looked just like that and we took him to the vet and the other day he just died.i felt so horrible.

  • Aww, cruel stupid pet stores): Srry for yourloss.

  • o my god im soo sorry you tried your best

  • Comment removed

  • @LSueU Awww. I'm sorry!! But at least you knew what she had. I was beginning to wonder if Kaliber had maybe adrenal disease. His fur was falling out if I can remember right. :(( It makes me want to cry..

  • B - This video just haunts me...I can't believe how bad off little Kaliber was. If anybody could've saved him, it would've been you. You did your damn best & I know this broke your heart. Love to your gang from Cowboy & me! :)) Marshall Ferret Organization is evil...

  • @annbaskervill Thank you Ann. <3 The marshall farms is very evil. It hurts to think they breed ferrets for their greed. It makes me sick.

  • @nightwolfseye I agree 100% & it really pisses me off.

  • @annbaskervill Well Marshall Ferrets do have problems but I wouldn't call them "evil". When they sell a kit they have to have a vet check before it can ship out, so chances are this poor little guy was just a victim of a very very poor vet store that didn't take of him.

  • @princesskirara I'll go to a breeder for my next ferret - Marshall Ferrets were good 25 years ago, when I first began owning ferrets, but they've gone downhill as far as quality. The last 3 ferrets I got from Marshall sources (pet stores) were sub-par - one died from IBD, one died after a year of chemo from adrenal disease & my little guy that I have now is battling IBD. I'll go to a breeder, like I said, so I can get a healthy ferret. thanks!

  • @annbaskervill Do you know of a good breeder then? I looked for a short while but couldn't seem to find a reputable one. My experience with Marshalls has seemed to be a mixed bag, I've had a couple that lived really long (I had a female that lived to be 16) but then I have had a few that died around 3 or 4 because of cancer.

  • @princesskirara There's a good breeder here in North Carolina within a couple hour's drive from me. I think it's called Ground Fx Ferretry - I can't remember. Try googling ferretries & see what comes up - I wish you luck!! :)

  • I am sorry to hear of this... I to ran across a sick ferret in a petshop when i was getting my first ferret... I knew of should of taken that ferret home as well. They would not let me after they saw to that is was sick... I just hope the ferret really did get some help and not put in that back and left...

  • <_< Oh and one more thing to teh poster...Kaliber may of passed on, just know this, he did so KNOWING that someone loved him. Even at the end, I -have- to believe, that notion that despite all the suffering that they may occur, if they find one person to love them in the end, for however long, it makes it worth the enduring of it all and surviving just to know that. =3

  • recoop. I've seen some ferret owners/first timers get sick fuzzies, even with a 'simple cold' (yeah, I know, no cold is 'simple' with a ferret lol) and turned a blindeye to it and the fuzzy passed on..so I do tip my hat to yous, good madam! (or sir x.x iffen sir, sorry lol). I do hope though, this...didn't uhm...undermine, shall we say, you owning other fuzzies in the future. I can say by experience, they are indeed a joy to have around! :3

  • @ZeroMatrixGuyver Thank you so much! I do have a whole crew of ferrets now. They are all healthy and such a joy. I miss Kaliber, it sucks that he cannot be here with me now and join in the fun with the others, but he is no longer suffering from anything. That was very nice of you to say that.

  • Well, yes..certain branches in itself of Marshell Ferrets/Pets are still trying to shape up..but considering how the company -was- years ago...the ferrets these days are a lot better off. Imma sorries though the company still does that in some parts to the poor little fuzzies =/ He may of passed on, but just remembers this, Kaliber is waiting for yous at the Rainbow Bridge, all fit and healthy, dooking and war dancing around with the other fuzzies :3 Gods bless yous for even TRYING to help him

  • Isn't it so heartbreaking to see your furbabies suffer? My dog got sick once, and people that aren't animal lovers wouldn't understand or call me crazy, but I would literally lay with him and cry because I felt horrible that he was so weak.

  • thats sweet of you

  • Awwh, it was really sweet of you to try and save his life. :)

and to everyone saying this is "abuse" ..you're a freakin idiot.

  • Aww. :(

  • sorry to say but is he eating shit

  • @TheSmellymuffin11 Um. Sorry to say this as well, but No he is not. He's eating a very nutritious mix of food called " DUK Soup". Do you own ferrets? Ferret owners are easily able to recognize what Kaliber was eating. Thanks. >.<

  • Marshalls ferrets should be shut down and everyone of their employee/employors should be charged with extreme animal cruelty, these poor animals are in tiny little pens outside with no protection from the elements.some of these animals are so desparate to escape that they get their necks caught in the filthy wire doors and slowly strangle to death.close your eyes for just 1 sec and picture your little fuzz in those conditions.no animal should be treated like this!terrorists get treated better!

  • I've never ... seen such a sick animal in my life.... T_T I'm so sorry

  • Do you know if Kaliber came to the pet store from Marshall Ferrets? They are like a puppy mill for ferrets...My current little darling, Cowboy, was sick when i bought him from a pet store, but he was from the Marshall Ferret organization. Poor little Cowboy has Inflammatory Bowel Disease which is treated by twice-daily medication that he hates. He goes to the vet monthly for wellness checks - I am so sorry for your loss & for the negligence displayed by that bitch of a manager. RIP Kaliber.

  • @annbaskervill Yeah that is where he came from. Marshall Ferrets. I even wrote to that stupid organization and they just turned a cold shoulder. It makes me upset because it isn't the ferrets' fault, but I don't want to purchase one to keep thier mill going. But like I said it isn't the ferrets' fault and they have to suffer for it. Cowboy had IBD? What symptoms did he show when he was sick before diagnosis?

  • @nightwolfseye Poor little Cowboy had liquid diarrhea pretty much from the day I bought him. He was starving & only weighed 1lb, but when he'd eat, he'd just have diarrhea - that was his main symptom. They say to not buy a sick ferret, but SOMEBODY has got to save them!!! Cowboy turned 1 yr old in August & he's still battling IBD. In fact, I'm waiting on a call from his vet right now...he may have to go on a course of Prednisone this week. I can keep you posted...

  • @annbaskervill But than the vicious cycle continues. I know you want to help but if people keep buying sick animals or animals from pet stores well they will just keep on doing it

  • @savannahsmom1985 Yep. I just went to the same pet store a couple days ago to check up on the ferrets there. And there was only one little girl left and she was sick. Prolapsed rectum and lethargic. I told the store worker there and I told them to get some damn hemmoroid creme to put on her and get her to a vet. They looked at me like I was loony. Ugh. Pet stores!

  • @nightwolfseye Please report them. If the ferrets ass is sticking out thats horrible

  • @savannahsmom1985 I called them to check and see if that ferret was taken care of. They told me that they took her to a vet. I'm not so sure I can trust them on it, but I tried nonetheless. I called animal control on them about Kaliber and the stupid people told me they couldn't do anything about it. ??? I was appalled. That pet store all in in all is the worst I have ever been to.

  • @savannahsmom1985 I'll never get another Marshall ferret, even though dear little Cowboy is holding his own right now. I've located a private ferret breeder 90 miles from my city, so if I ever want another, I'm going there...Thanks! :)

  • @annbaskervill I am with you on this one... Ares is a Marshall ferret... I heard all the bad and good about Marshall ferrets... I could not locate a good breeder that I could get to... the rescues around here wanted me to get two ferrets not just one and all they had were ferrets that were 3 and 4 years old... I wanted something that would possibly be with me for a good while...

  • @nightwolfseye I purchased a marshall ferret and it seemed to be pretty healthy but when I found out how crappy the company was I asked the pet store if she was sick at all before I got her and they said she was not but they always take their ferrets to the vet and get them well before selling them especially from Marshall farms.

FYI: If you ever want to know if your ferret is from Marshal farms they have a blue tattoo of a circle on their ear.

  • @redwolffclaw Thank you. And yep, they usually have two dots showing they've been fixed and descented. Although it's sometimes not true.

  • @nightwolfseye go to the news show them the letter sent and this video.. the news always manages to get some response from a company

  • @annbaskervill

sorry about you guys mishaps but if it makes you feel better im going through the same thing. marshal/ pet lands are horrible!! sadly i wish i knew that earlier i got a death ferret that had broken tail. and who knows what else might pop up please dont support either pet land or Marshall. hope your ferrets does better!

  • @025chris025 Is your ferret still living? I am so sorry to hear about yet another sick ferret & heartbroken owner...My next ferret will come from a private breeder - I've checked & there's a private breeder less than 2 hours from where I live. I can only say that my darling Cowboy is finally doing a little better on a new med. Thanks for your good wishes - same back to you!

  • that is so sad. the poor little thing. you have my deepest condolences.

  • That's awful...I began to cry watching this. What Petstore was it? Happen to be PetLand? PetLand is the worst piece-of-shit company out there. Your sweet Kaliber is waiting for you on Rainbow Bridge now and you'll cross together when you go to meet him. Rest in piece, sweet boy...

  • @XReicheruX Hey Thank you so much!! That was sweet. The petstore was Pet Food Center in Owensboro, KY. I live in in Indiana.

  • @nightwolfseye How long did he live and how quickly did you notice he was sick? Poor baby... :(

  • @XReicheruX I had him for a couple weeks and he was lethargic when I got him. His health just kept spiraling and I even took him to the vet and he said he couldnt figure out what was wrong. Needless to say I don't go to that vet anymore. But anyway, that's how long I had him. I believe he was sick when I got him.

  • @nightwolfseye Have you talked to the petstore about what happened?

  • @XReicheruX Yeah I've talked to the petstore, the manager didn't want to do anything, she was a total bitch and she was screaming in my face that I was the one that killed him. She was very inconsiderate and didn't want to listen to anyone. BUT, she has been fired since then, and they have a new manager and that store is very clean with very healthy animals now. It just sucks that Kaliber had to be a victim of her carelessness.

  • @nightwolfseye Some people just don't deserve to live.

  • report the pet store! thats horrible! poor thing

  • AWWW! which pet store?

  • sumone please reply my ferret is very sick hes really wobbly nd REALLY skinny im really worried he wont eat he just sleeps sumone please reply i dont no wat to feed him or anything just please i scared nd i love him to death!!

  • @theAXELnater274 Please take your ferret to the vet asap. In the meantime, feed him "duck soup", which is extremely nutritious for sick ferrets. Duck soup is made from high quality dry ferret chow & chicken baby food. I put the dry chow in a baggie & crush it with a hammer, add water & the baby food - then microwave it into a soup-like mush. You can put some soup on your finger or in a little spoon & rub it onto his gums till he learns that it's food. Bless you & your ferret! :))
