If he behaves in a certain way in his private life, you can't just say: but that's his private life, he'd never do that as a politician. It's the same person in both lives.

Gingrich starts with an argument for 3 separate, coequal branches of government but quickly devolves into a laundry list of ways the legislature and presidency can cull and control the judiciary. I could use the same examples he listed (Jackson, Jefferson, FDR, etc.) as a warning on the abuse of executive power. He needs to make his argument from the ground up, not just name drop. Anyway, right or wrong, what Newt is proposing is based upon the British model, not the American one.
The Constitution nowhere says that the Supreme Court is Supreme over the other two Branches, and nowhere does the Constitution grant the Supreme Court the supreme authority to say what the Constitution means.

He may think he has the U.S. interest at heart, but what he really did was isolate himself from anyone who was not christian, anyone who was gay, and anyone who believed in abortion. The judge who favored gay-marriage did so because it was constitutional. Newt is therefore a hypocrite.

I'm confused. Gingrich starts with an argument for 3 separate, coequal branches of government but quickly devolves into a laundry list of ways the legislature and presidency can cull and control the judiciary. I could use the same examples he listed (Jackson, Jefferson, FDR, etc.) as a warning on the abuse of executive power. He needs to make his argument from the ground up, not just name drop. Anyway, right or wrong, what Newt is proposing is based upon the British model, not the American one.

We have lawyers in congress that are trying to implement their socialist agenda . WTF, i thought that you refer to him as cancer - what HE is. Judges are in office to ensure the legality and the compatibility of laws with the constitution and other laws. Sure some judges can be wrong (like marriage requiring both man AND woman) but at the same time theocracy isn't democracy either. Jesus opposed personally this kind of hypocrisy like mixing religion with government or even public prayers. People like this killed Jesus - oppose demagogy, hypocrisy and theocracy.

@unitasetmagus Newt pressed his first wife to finalize their divorce while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. Following that, he then cheated on his second wife with his current wife. Trying to impeach a president for infidelity while engaging in it yourself will take some explaining. His marital behavior is going to raise a lot of eyebrows among the social conservatives and make it very difficult to gain the votes he will need to carry the Bible belt states.

There is nothing wrong with anyone willing to pray for His country or the people where ever he or she might be. Its the ones that hide from there belief I worry about.

The following year, the committee found that he had inappropriately used tax-exempt donations to fund a college course he taught from 1993-1995. In 1997, he was forced to pay a $300,000 fine for his actions, and was barely reelected as speaker of the House. Gingrich stepped down from his position and resigned from the House in 1999.
