He took it to the bank for cashing, and they wouldn't cash it for him - told him to go get his wife (who was at work) or open an account, and that those two options were in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). When tv news pressed BoA, they said the tellers should have "accommodated" him in a different manner. Probably, kick him out before he got in the door, for having no arms.

I think some people are confused: this guy ISN'T the guy who was refused. The guy who was refused can be seen in a news clip here on YT, he's a white guy. This guy is upset about it, and acting it out, while telling the story and voicing his outrage. you're so right! this could possibly go against the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) most banks also have rules that you can't wear hats or sunglasses inside their buildings, I'm epileptic and sensitive to certain types of light! That's not the whole story. The bank offered him several alternative options. The man refused them all.  One of the options was to simply open an account with them (3 minutes), but he refused and he wanted the bank to break their policies for his royal kingship.
