  • What a joke! Try flying a 747 Classic in hard IFR, then do an approach to mins. into Incheon, Korea. These clowns don't even have basic VFR flying skills. They say, "Jesus Christ" and they're right.

    Adios

  • The plane calls you a retard

  • Gear up should be quicker.

  • That is a rule:

No centerline an no glide path ............ no good landing!

  • how much is that cockpit?

  • Well that looks easy to control.....

  • @666mexicano1 i know its around 10-15million dollars

  • i want that simulator in my rooom, how much does it cost??

  • Listen at :35 "Jesus Christ". hahahaha

  • @madisonelectronic and at 0:15, from the jump seat in response to the instructor's advice to look out the window: "outside's a good place to look unless it's coming at you really fast"

  • No 2:09

  • Dual input alerts occurred when two side sticks were used at the same time, warning the pilot that they should not fight for the control. ^^

  • Its so real lol xD when you reset the simulation, and the screens are blank you are like WOOT!! WTF XD

  • EPIC FAIL

  • what simulator program do they use ??

  • PLEASE! What was the alert at 1:09?

  • @Rucra1 "DUAL INPUT" - both pilots were attempting control of the aircraft in a conflicting sense/direction

  • @sy2015 Thank you man!

  • @Rucra1

Are you meaning when the aircraft calls out "retard"? No its not the plane commenting on the pilots flying skills but its a part of the auto throttle that brings power to idle at about 30ft or so to allow the plane to enter its flare mode for landing.

Look up TA flight 1951 at Amsterdam to find out what happens when it goes wrong.

  • @afflictionforlife I KNOW WHAT ``RETARD`` MEANS! IF YOU PUT THE VIDEO AT 1:09, YOU WILL HEAR ``dual input``-------> this was the aural alert that i wanted to know

  • @Rucra1 If you're referring to the "RETARD" alert, thats is a cue for the pilot to retard or pull the throttles all the way back to idle.

  • @dngerboy32 i was referring to the ``DUAL INPUT``

  • @Rucra1 because the copilot put the trust to ful power it was telling the pilot (fuel input)

  • @animosgreatest ???? the aural alert was ``dual input``

  • @animosgreatest that's not right

  • the computer went like 20...10...retard

     lol

  • what I really would like to know.. what happens in the simulator if you do a bad landing (that in real life would damage the airplane)? for example if the gear would break in real life, is this also simulated or does it just say "error" ? cool video, wish I could get into one of those simulators one day... but heard it needs lots of electricity and is incredibly expensive

  • Costly video game.lol!

  • IM AN A380 PILOT AND VERY GREAT AIRCRAFT TO FLY.

  • Flying idiot, fly like a german gay

  • Does a flight simulator have G effect

  • @technofreak0007 Kind of. FFS with motion tilt the hole shell and use gravity. During a takeof the sim tilt back so you stick to your seat. It's limited but simulate prety well what a plane can do in normal operation.

  • Talk about over correction!

  • u forgot to put the gear up

  • @MyPilot747 There were way too many simple errors made by the pilot - the list goes on. However, you can't really blame him - he is an ATC.

  • @FBIRoyLindell

Yeah, including going to 20 feet and then pulling up - he might have even touched down. You make your decision at 300 feet - Boeing calls it "minimums" on the GPWS.

  • u should always keep one hand on the throttle

  • im sorry , you failed the checkride, blablablablablablablablabla

  • jesus christ I wanna fly airplanes...

  • @blueflame53 Than do it! If you really want to do something in your life it is much better to just go for it with anything you've got then having to look back and regret never having tried! I am only 16 but, like you also want to fly airplanes; so I am. In fact I have already gone solo : ) Good luck,

    Steve

  • What is the cabin call out at 1.09?

  • Comment removed

  • @PeepoICSS "dual input"

  • i was in such a simulator too on christmas 2 years or sth ago. i flew an a310 and an a 320 the a310 was pretty hard to handle and i know how hard it is to do a good job. My instructor was that mean to let me flying a little round at madeira which has a really hard approach just have a look

so that goes to every pilot in the world: YOU DO A F***ING GOOD JOB EVERY DAY AND ALL YEAR LONG!!!!!

PS i hardly can it believe it till yet... i sat in this sim w/ 14 or 15 years!!!

  • what happened ?

  • nice video

  • go around

  • That´s an old truth!

If you make a poor approach and a poor final approach [not establishing the centerline early enough]........ the landing will become worse or horrible or you will end with a crash OR

you will decide for a go around!

There are lots of young pilots, and some young and bad pilots

    BUT

very few old and bad pilots :-)

  • i want to play me toooooo.....!

  • are they using FSX?

  • I think he did well :)

  • dont be a pilot..

  • I wonna get like this cockpit cabin at home and play flight Simulator latest version with all payware addons and all airports with full AES support , Wilco, FSP, REX, GEX, And very good AI traffic .........etc ( dreaming..... dreaming......))

Thumb up if u want this dream to become real

  • @KRDSH931

go for it! it "only" cost 32 million au$

  • @KRDSH931 This is probably a level d full motion certified simulator, used by airlines and aviation schools for advanced training. It's so realistic that they use real world avionics, same ones as the ones you´ll find on the real aircraft and unless you're a professional pilot you will not be able to fly in a sim like this. But anyway can you imagine how much it costs? Well to give you an example a Embraer E-145 Level D Full Motion costs US$ 11 600 000,00.

  • @KRDSH931 i rather become a pilot

  • @KRDSH931 or... you could just try flying a real aeroplane

  • @KRDSH931 no.. I would prefer being a real pilot. Why spend 10s of millions of dollars for a FS rather than becoming a pilot? (Not being offensive just a random question)

  • crosswind landing ?!

  • what the fuck was that. i hope he never flies me.

  • @J450 the guy flying isn't a real pilot dick

  • is this a simulator??

  • thats look real^^

  • you see these atc'ers donno nothing about flying, then they want to control it..

  • Bad, it seems he has never even flown a cessna

  • I'm glad the first officer knows what he's doing.

  • Good video, thanks :)

  • 1:08 does the autopilot say retard?

  • @DetEJagDe

yes he does say retard XD

it means to push the thrust lever to idle and afterwards reverse thrust and spiloers extended ;)

  • @DetEJagDe yes, meaning that the pilot should 'retard' -> reduce the throttle IDLE. That's not the autpilot by the way that's the GPWS.

  • Jesus leave the poor guy alone fuck sake!!!!!! all the comments here from all the wannabe pilots makes me cringe.

  • #FAIL

  • The beginning of the approach was incorrect,

I think because the pilot did not consider it time well

I wish success to all pilots

    Escada

  • I would have got it right!

  • god that thing looks hideous....

  • Dude, where's my sim?

  • my turn, my turn!

  • its so realistic, i want one.

  • ah man now thats a real simulator Yeah the real one..

  • A wee bit late with the official missed approach.

  • woow we in th safe hands indeed the pilot coudnt land the plane lol no wonder why all landings on board qantas jets r sooo bumpy !

  • This isn't even a pilot that's why he's all over the place. Qantas is great btw.

  • NIce Video!!!

  • 34 mil $ toy for my game room...One day

  • @mray55 Why not fly the real thing??

  • I wish i had room for that in my bed room =) who needs joy sticks when you got the real simulator .

  • What was the aural alert referencing at 02:09?

  • Not sure - it was during the reset of the scenario.

  • @sy2015 could be autopilot... when i sat in sim it wasn't... we hadnt turned AP on so

    ... i guess it's the AP

  • @sy2015: The "beep" seems to be coming from the AP/Managed Speed section.

  • @sy2015 It looks like it's the signal telling you to take over control when starting a new sim...

  • @88baxter88 co pilot..

  • @88baxter88 sounds like a passenger that wanted the cabin crew to come with a puke-bag :D

  • @88baxter88 Auto-thrust and auto-pilot alert.

  • @88baxter88 It was the Autopilot disconnect alert.

  • @mark747captain ohhh no it wasn't, the three clicks are a signal that Conditions required for CAT3/CAT2 are no longer fulfilled!! the other two alerts are for final approach i think.

  • @88baxter88 that was 3x click means IRS locked but the other 1 i'm not sure.. but seems like ILS locked the plane position for approach

  • 19 million euros for a simulator

  • are u serious?

u can get a plane fore that amount of money....

  • well, a small one...the simulator is an amazing piece of technology.

  • well, a small one...its very complex technology.

  • i need this cockpit home !

by the way i wonder if the softfware that runs it isn't FSX based ?

  • no it is not

  • FSX is a game by microsoft.. Perhaps, but not definately they may have doveloped the software. But realy, It aint the software in FSX..

  • actually they should integrate it with a centrifuge to give pilots very acurate sensations of G-force during accelerations and manouvers. It could be done with a cockpit enclosed in a moving capsule with 3d movement of rotation, tilt and bank providing actual impresions of motion.

  • could be, but thats expensive..

  • @rangelso its not

  • Yes it is look it up

  • @rangelso negative. software used for these types of simulators are custom made depending what simulator it is.

  • I think maybe he was hitting the left rudder for the brake and right for the gas

  • I love simulators !

I went in an Airfrance's Simulator and it was so good, Sorry, i have'nt any shots... :'(

  • the forgot to put the gear up

  • 34 Million $

  • How much does a simulator cost ??

    lol

  • 10-15% of the price of the real plane

  • Shit ! lol

  • yeh, but look its just a cockpit the rest of the cost are the engines and fuselage. not to mention in real the refueling costs.

  • @FlyFlyAF That sim right there costs $225,000

  • @captainntys Damn thats cheap for a motion sim!

  • @captainntyson - The related video "Qantas Pilots Prepare for Airbus A380s" (The sky news one) said that the Qantas A380 Simulator is worth $38,000,000

  • $34,000,000 sorry**

  • @smittyguitarplyr and how much is the plane worth?

  • @jetlaged - well FlyFlyAF was correct, the sim costs about 10% of the original plane. So the plane costs about $300,000,000. (AUD)

  • Can you guys hear what did they say?

i can't hear any of it

  • 1:07 does it say 'retard'?

  • Yup, it sure does.

When it says "Retard" it's telling the Pilot in Command to retard the thrust levers to the idle position :)

  • retard means, slow or late.

  • yes. like in music 'ritard' = slow down.

  • "retard = idle engine thrust"

  • i bet the rudders (if this was a real plane) where fucked after flight lol.

  • The best videogame ever made ;)

  • Yeah! I would stay on it all day!

  • @vinhasontem video game?

  • OH, no wonder.. he isn't even a pilot. lol.. Not bad for an ATC'ers first time.

  • The PF doesn't know what he is doing.

  • is the instructor's name graeme robertson?

  • maybe he could ve tried a crosswind?.... :)

  • you forgot to put the gear up

  • A380 <3

  • what seemed to happen to this guy is what happens to a lot of people when first learning to fly. It is not like driving a car. in a car when you return the steering wheel to center the car goes straight, in a plane you must roll the opposite direction from which you just turned until the aircraft is level, then level the yoke. Common mistake. cool sim!!!!

  • If you handle everything with the right hand...it's diffiicult to handle with left hand....

  • that was the coolest sim I've ever seen.

  • bad pilot

  • He's not bad, you have to get used to use the joystick with left hand...

  • He's an Air Traffic Controller

  • any info on the scenery they use in flight simulators?is it like in microsoft flight sim?

  • Should they put the Gears up?

  • well its a airbus 380 pretty new plane got to get use to it first

  • Who is piloting because this approach is quite bad

  • It says in the description it was an air traffic controller trying it out.

  • the person being trained on the left

  • Comment removed

  • its a fellow from the atc (air traffic control)

    not a real pilot.

  • Qantas is one of the best airlines in the world none of there aircraft have crashed but they came close to when a piece of the cabin blew out causeing a decompression but the pilots at Qantas are really well traind so they landed the plane perfectly all of the aircraft from Qantas used to have a great maintenance record until they started servecing there planes in tailand just because they could save abit of money on repairs what would you choose lives or money lives are more important

  • Learn how to write.

  • so many BUTTONS

  • Thanks for sharing this. I really need to get a look inside one of these at work one day.

  • Noobie.

  • could have landed that fine, the instructor fuk it up

  • NAABZ!

  • Star Trek

  • haha! lol! CFI couldve assisted em well without the dual input yelling! go-aroung with no flaps command, gears shouldve followed before the sim freeze. lousy..

  • the problem is clearly the pilot to the left who cant even stay on centre-line :D HAHA..

  • Looked like crosswinds if you see about halfway through the approach he's getting pushed left even though he's level.

  • That's why a professional pilot would always remember the wind (which is given by tower before landing), so that you can apply crosswind-correction! :D

  • Correct. A professional pilot would always remember the wind direction and speed. But considering this is a simulation, and the guy flying is an Air Traffic Controller (see above)- he probably has very little experience on the A380- meaning that although he knows the wind direction and speed, is probably unfamiliar with it's the affect on this airframe- and does not know the amount of correction he will need.

  • If he is an ATC I can clearly understand :D And in that case - believing that he hasn't got any flight-experience - he is actually doing pretty well :D I WISH it was me flying a Full Simulation on the A380!! :D

  • looks very real!!

  • It's a Full Flight Simulator and it's for professional pilots.

It has to be as real as it can get.

Not a $79.99 Microsoft Flight Simulator you buy at Circuit City.

  • It's a $34 million simulator bought from CAE (Professional Simulator company)

  • if I ever win the lottery. this is the first thing I am getting.

  • Same with me :)

  • lol me 2

  • same lol

  • Agreed :-). Im getting one for each plane of the entire airbus fleet!
