The issue is more political driven than economical, the US government don't want to face reality and deal with the situation bravely because the American people will start to ask about all the horrific polices. Instead of spending trillions of US$ in Iraq, Middle East and starting new War with Iran, I think its the right time for the US Government to start focusing on what is happening inside America instead of focusing to much on what is happening outside America.

Hey mike..whats is your opinion on ron paul. Like you he asserts that cutting rates only postpones an inevitable recession and might even make it worse. Americas position of having the worlds reserve currency is the licencse to print endlessly and export the inflation while cutting rates. What do you think of a gold standard or some other commodity currency?

The US Economic Dam wall has a crack in its structure from the top right down to the bottom.
Instead of letting the water out and fixing the dam, they are just pumping in more water.. It will work for a while.
